Hi!
I'm currently running the DN3 ROM and I have installed the latest version of the (v5.5 with update 1).
I'm experiencing connectivity problems where my phone simply loses connectivity. Don't think it is my operator (I'm I Sweden).
I can't post in the dn3 forum (or the developer forum) so I'm asking here hoping someone can help me.
Thanks!

I have the same problem just find a good rom that can run it and check your boot loader if its up-to-date
I'm sorry I do not follow. (n00b of n00bs)
Do I have to flash a new/dirrerent ROM or the same one again?
My bootloader is N7100XXUFND3. is that up to date or an old one?
Ok I'm learning as I go here I my bootloader is N7100XXUEMK9.
Is this good or bad? ☺
Ok I'm not sure if this really helped my problem but I tried to think what I had done the day I started having the problems and the only thing I could think of that I had done was installing Adblock. So I uninstalled it and restarted my phone (for the twentieth time today) and then it worked again.
Could this have anything to do with my problem or was it just a coincidence?
Nope! Didn't help at all. Any suggestions?
Does anyone know if this is a problem with the dn3 ROM or if it just me? Haven't seen anyone else with this problem.

I have the same problem with the latest DN3 rom..
Anyone here to help???????
Most annoying! Phone unusable right now.
I don't even get it to work when I restart my phone. But then, every once in a while, it comes back and works for maybe a day or so. The steps again. Says unable to connect to network..

Had to switch ROM. I'm on the Dr Ketan ROM now. That solved the problem though.

Hi,
I've recently overclocked my HTC Desire HD using clockworkmod with this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=835616
After that, my WiFi suddenly stopped working. It could connect, scan; everything, except for browsing and going on the market, things that need an internet connection. (Yes, I did use other things like my iPad and it did work)
Then I tried to overclock through fastboot and adb with the same link. What happened then was that my WiFi died completely; it wouldn't even turn on. Only thing it did was saying "Error" (Actually it was "Fout" in Dutch, but would probably be "Error" if it was English).
Then I did what this topic said:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=993981
I flashed the new file and my overclock did change; the max is now ~1.2 ghz.
But my WiFi still doesn't work. It turned back to how it was in the first stage; It can be turned on and off, scan; do everything that it normally would, only apps that need an internet connection won't work.
Anyone can help me?
Edit: I already tried a hard reset, and it doesn't work. My WiFi and overclock state doesn't change after a hard reset.
Edit 2: I FIXED MY PHONE!! Finally. So no need for you guys to help me anymore . And please don't say I didn't try hard enough, because I've spent at least 10 hours in this problem. (Yes, I am a noob )

I just started from scrap following new instructions from a new kernel. If you want to know which one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=835608
So I didn't actually solve the whole problem since I wasn't able to run the 1.61ghz oc, but that's ok for me. Hope this helps.

I have been having this exact same problem since upgrading to Android Revolution HD (Gingerbread versions).
At the moment, the only fix I can find is to enter:
ip rule del from all lookup wifi

In a terminal window everytime I connect to a new WiFi network.
If anyone can find a permanent solution to this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

That's weird. I'm running Android Revolution HD since yesterday and I didn't have any WiFi problems. If I were you, I would try to reflash. Also, have you tried to flash the recommended radio in the thread? I think that one of these 2 things should work.

I've tried numerous full wipes, different radios (including the recommended one) and still cannot get it to work without entering that terminal command.
I believe there are a few people with the same problem, yet it only seems to affect UK mobiles :/ ....

My phone is using GSM network and rom Cyanogenmod 7 stable version
The phone works without problem until I restart the phone, the Baseband version becomes unknown and the notification shows the message "No service" so I don't have any mobile network
I tried to reflash the ROM and the problem seemed disappear. But when I perform a restart, I experience the same problem again

I would ask in the rom specific thread. You're more likely to get someone with experience with that rom to answer.

He can't post there most likely since he has only 2 posts. I had an issue with Viper like this but thought it was related to Hurricane Sandy....
One morning I grab my phone off the usb (computer) and it says Vodafone instead of VZW on the lock screen. Hmmm. Reboot and nothing changes. Can't send of receive texts or connect to 3g but phone works. I tried pulling battery, sim card....to no avail. As a last resort I wiped data and it has worked since with no issue although that forced me to re-install all my apps.
Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your suggest. I wiped data and my phone works too. But I wonder what is the root cause of this issue? A problem of custom rom ???
i have a samsung galaxy s3, ive been rooted for a long time and flashing roms all the time. well i flashed a rom just now and i have no signal, not sure if i burned out the radio (not sure if thats possible, but it also said to insert sim card while it was already inserted), but i dont understand how that would happen. the sim card works in another phone that im using now, so its not the sim card thats causing the issue. my carrier is at&t, and no signal showing, not data or cell (wifi still works, but thats a different story). has anyone experienced this and know how to fix it? im guessing modem flashing, but not entirely sure. can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

just a suggestion, but try rebooting your phone again. this happened to me before and i got freaked out but a reboot has fixed this on a few occasions. running a flashed rom just fine right now.

I believe you need to do a factory reset. Backup your data first!
Sent from my SGH-T999 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The first thing to troubleshoot you should do is flash back to a rooted stock rom and make sure the data is working there. If so this will rule out any sort of hardware problem. You didn't say whether or not you did but you can also try fully wiping the phone (dalvik/cache, system, and data), re-download the rom incase you had a bad one the first time and reflash. Other than that check that maybe check the apn settings.
Yup I ended up doing that last night..im back on the stock root injected rom. So im still rooted and network now works! So im glad. How would I flash a rom without losing the network this time?

Now that you have flashed back to stock a full wipe has been done in the process. At this point all you can do is flash it and see, but as i said i would redownload if you plan on using whatever rom it was you mentioned in the OP. I would also do a full nandroid backup to save the pain of using odin incase it doesn't work. I imagine the problem was with lingering files/fragments from multiple flashes that were causing the problem, in any case whatever the problem happened to be it was software related.
K will do. Its just weird because the md5 matched and everything..but I will for sure download the rom and gapps again. Thanks for the tips!

well, i finally got the service to work after flashing a rom. it still remains a mystery to me tho, i used to always use the illusion rom everyday, for months. i decide to flash the same exact one but no service, i download it a couple more times and still no service after flashing about 3 or 4 times. i tried a completely different rom and the service is active. i dont understand why and cant figure out what is so different this time hah. o well, im just glad its all working now even though its with a different rom. thanks for the help guys!
ok, im back =[
i was using the carbon rom with no problems, it was working great, but just a half hour ago i was listening to music and texting (i always do this), and then phone just turned off. I tried to reboot it but it wont! it always shuts off while booting. i made it to CWM, but it turns off while in CWM. i also made it to download mode, which led me to assume that the phone is not bricked, but it doesnt stay on download mode, it just turns off randomly. i figured maybe it was battery, so i tried another, and no change! does anyone know what the issue is? i cant figure out how to keep the phone ON, or why its not staying on.
btw, i got it to boot completely just once, and it was acting up still. any ideas? please help
Thanks in advance

Tryed, but bug is still there. I just rooted my phone, so i will intall some custom rom, hope that this issue will disappear
Like the title says,
I'm not sure if its my telco that is causing this problem or my device.
it loses connections and says 'service disabled' for like 1 second and then it reconnects by itself.
I'm really new to rooting and modding as i just moved from an iphone to an android device this year for less than a month ago, but i've done researches before i rooted my phone.
Is this problem caused by rooting my phone or my telco?
Considering that i live on the 26th floor of the apartment and connection is really weak (i get about 1 to 3 bars of connection which is normal)
and i've never really encountered this problem before rooting my phone.
Root would not cause the problem.
Have you flashed some custom ROM?

i might have i'm not really sure. is there a way to check if i've flashed a custom ROM?
i tried to flash CM12 earlier on but instead i accidentally flashed something else instead. but i dont see any changes in my phone other than the connection problem
I'm still picking up on this modding and rooting stuffs for android, so if i appear to be such a noob i'm sorry
Which ROM would you like?
What phone variant you have?
You can download some ROM and flash it through recovery.
Download it from here, but make sure it is for your variant.

I think i've installed a ROM that is causing my data connection problem.
Am i able to go back to stock?
EDIT: Alright i've solved my problem. Althought i couldnt find which file/ROM was affecting my data connection so i decided to do the hard way. Which is unroot my phone and then root it again.
So its fine now?
