Gapps not working - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Google play services and location services are constantly stopping now, wondering if this is just me. I have not changed anything on my phone but those 2 services keep crashing. I've done everythi g short of factory reset yet

Yeah I was a bit too quick to think it was fixed. Did a factory reset and that fixed it. Still trying to find the responsible party for making gapps to crash.

Woa dont you think it is a little early for flashing?
Try with the small studf first.
Delete cache and data of store. Reboot. Unisntall store and reinstall getting apk from anywhere else.
Stuff like that....

Google Play Music FC?

Is anyone else getting FCs after updating Google Play Music to v5.0.1026J? Still stock and unrooted.

Mine's ok.
I would uninstall and re-install again for good measure.

Everything's working great here. Love the new all access service. I'm dropping Mog for this.

I've uninstalled multiple times and Cleared Data as well. Based on the reviews in the Play Store, I'm not alone.
I'm guessing it might have something to do with how much music is stored locally, because it seems to FC even when I don't choose a Google account.

The v5.0.1027J update has fixed the crashes for me.

Play store keeps crashing...

For some reason my play store keeps crashing, I've tried rebooting my phone, even clearing the data and ram from the play store... I don't get it..

Rooted? Rom? Kernel? Mods?
Have you cleared data and uninstalled updates? Then reboot and give it time to reupdate?
Try to Remove google account and re-enter info.
If no go then Reflash your rom

Completely stock, nothing custom. I've tried clearing it from the apps. I'll try to uninstall updates.

Tried deleting the play updates, still same issue.. this is so frustrating.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
You may need to do the same on some other Google apps such as Google services framework and maybe a couple others that work along side the play store app. Can't remember them all right off hand.
When you say you're completely stock does this also mean you are not rooted? If you are rooted you can use titanium backup to backup all Google apps and data. Then clear data one by one till you find the culprit and then restore data for everything else.
Did you try deleting your account?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Completely stock, as I'm not rooted or anything. I tried everything, then I factory reset and its fixed.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Glad you got it fixed. I figured a factory reset would do it but was trying to help avoid it. But sometimes it's the only way....
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Yeah I was going to avoid it. It was about time for a fresh start anyways.

Downloads and download manager was enabled and the problem does exist.

Something got deleted on my Google maps

I used SD maid and it deleted something I think.
No matter if I completely remove maps and start over... It says network connection not found... I could be on wifi or 4g and it still says network connection no found.
Any idea what I need? :banghead:

Uninstall Google Maps update under settings, app manager, google maps, clear app data and reinstall the update via Play Store.
OPEN Google maps and accept the terms DON'T open the navigation app until you have done this final step.
Hoping this helps

I did try that already...
Then ... I totally uninstalled the app.
And re installed it.
Still, same issue.
Tomorrow when I boot up my computer I'll see if titanium has a backup of it.

I read somewhere also that if you use lucky patcher to block adds that it might interfere with Maps/Navigation it was suggested there to clear the "host" file, I just don't remember where I read that.
