Thanks jiffy1080 I listed it on Swappa!
Honestly I have an undiagnosed device commitment issue, lol. I'll use a device for 3 months and then look to change. I would've gotten the O+O when it came out but that was invite only which I never received so I sold of my M8 and got the Find 7.
Really though in the past year I had the HTC M8, Oppo Find 7, and last Friday just purchased the LG G3.

Hi guys,
I'm looking at buying a Galaxy Nexus sim free soon and was wondering if anyone knew of any deals around now.
At the minute I have found the cheapest to be Play.com at £340.
Using a website called TopCashBack I am able to get 4.04% back on my purchase which would make the total cost of the phone a little over £326.
Although I have found better deals on eBay and Amazon merchants, a lot of these seem to ship from Hong Kong which is something that I would like to avoid at all costs.
Thanks for any replies or help with this matter.
Mike.

That looks like a bargain off of play.com for a new UK phone from a reputable seller. I just got mine last week and ended up buying a used one off ebay for £220. I didn't see any that were new from the UK that would beat £326 when I was looking. The £330 ones off of amazon marketplace seem to be asian devices.

I have seen their website before but don't like the fact that they operate from Hong Kong.
Although their prices are cheaper I have read enough reviews to make me order from Play.com
Thanks for the suggestion though

The amazon.de offer was more like £300 after delivery costs and you have the disadvantage of dealing with a foreign retailer (the UK site won't support the purchase).
Currently, an unlocked htc m8 is available in Amazon for 670 dollars. It's 30 dollars cheaper than the original price. Why is that? I'm a little scared to buy it because I have read in the reviews that they received a 16gb version not the 32gb. I just don't want trouble like returning the phone or something.

I have the 32gb from T-Mobile. First of all in my opinion all of the phones in the One family are the best most professional and elegant Android devices on the market today. I view them as cool Android devices for adults.
As far Amazon and getting a phone from there. I got two from them when I was on Sprint. They were both upgrades and Amazon only charged $.01 for each when Sprint was charging at least $50 for the upgrades. They got here in 2 days. It was a fabulous experience.

I think your most telling comment were the reviews. The fact people aren't getting what they paid for. Remember $670 for a 32gb might be a good deal. Same price for a 16gb isn't
If the reviews aren't good I always stay away. Especially if all you're saving is $30

It is labeled as 32gb. And there's like only 2 reviewers who said they received a 16gb version so it looks like a good deal. Thank you for your replies. I'm just a little curious on how they can sell it cheaper.

Amazon is high volume, and they can afford to cut prices by not having a brick and mortar stores. Plus their logistics (delivery network) are unmatched. All of this means they can pretty much undercut most the competition on price (and therefore attract higher sales volume), and still make enough profit to be successful.
The purchase is direct from Amazon, correct (and not a 3rd party vendor that sells on Amazon as a portal)? If its the same listing I am looking at, it is. Amazon is really reliable. But mistakes just get made once in a while.
Merchandise returns are extremely easy on Amazon, in the event you end up having to do one. They give you a UPS label to print out, just slap it on the box it shipped in and seal the box, and take it to a UPS store (or you can probably call for UPS pickup). Since it was their mistake, they pay for shipping. When they made a mistake for something my wife ordered, they made it right by shipping the replacement overnight at no cost. Even when its a mistake I made (ordered some electrical part that were the wrong color) the return shipping was only about $2.

Hi, I'm Selling my new Note 4 on Ebay and I need some advice listing it.
In forming my listing, I typically look at past successful listings and see how they worked their ad. I have noticed ad that claim to be "factory unlocked".
Can somebody explain this to me and also give me any tips on getting top buck for my listing?
I thought these phone were locked.
I can provide a photo of the label on my box.
I'm thinking on a quick 3 day sale so someone can get this in time for a Holiday present.
This is a typical listing that confuses me:
NEW FACTORY UNLOCKED Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910V 32GB WHTE Verizon GLOBAL GSM
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GREAT-FACTO...1313163018?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item43d39e1b0a!
verizon's LTE phones are all sim unlocked
thats prob what they mean.

I've had much better luck selling on my smartphones on Swappa. It's your choice, but Swappa just seems to attach more serious buyers and has a reputation for better protecting the seller and the customer. You'll also get a better idea of what smartphones similar to yours are selling for.

So does that mean I can truthfully say in my ad?

Another vote for swappa. Sold my phone there in a day (and most of them are if you are reasonably priced)
no crazy ebay fees.......
Just list your phone with the model # and a good description. You will do fine.
I sold both iphone 4 and galaxy S3 and started bidding at $1 with a buy it now that I felt was a little over average. Both sold on ebay in less then 3 hours, buy it now instant pay.
use craigslist.
too many scams with paypal dude...
people will buy and say it never got delivered.
i only sell on craigslist, but never buy
Swappa did not work for me. Had 2 people buy the phone but neither could pay for it. Had to relist each time. Finally gave up.
Some great feedback here, thanks guys. Its on swappa for two days then I'm moving it over to fleaBay.

On ebay, you'll pay like $60 in fees on a $600 ending price.
So $600 on ebay nets you $540. You can lowball on Swappa for 575, lose $10 to swappa, pay shipping yourself, maybe $15, and still come out ahead despite an initial $25 lower price. Just something to think about.

Give it a week or two then price will drop if you looking to buy it pay as you go, otherwise ebay is the only option. Price wise based on spec is reasonable

I know you want this phone badly, and rightly so it's truly amazing.
But I would wait, the great deals don't start to surface until a week before release. You won't be able to get the phone any earlier than 28th May so just stay strong! :highfive:

Sorry, most of the stores have terminated all but the smallest discounts to protect their profit margins. I snagged up a
pretty big 15% discount, less than 5 minutes later, friend reported it failed when he tried it. I'll post where I got mine after I actually get it, if I'm scammed I'd rather be the only one, it does seem a little too good to be true.
Do note that some resellers are flexible so if they have a live chat option, you can ask for discounts, tell them you barely missed a coupon and politely ask, they should drop the price a little.
I've invested quite a bit of time hunting for a deal. For every site I found, there were mixed reports, some had a smooth ride, others had bad experiences.
Mine just shipped with a DHL tracking number from AliExpress. Can't wait!
Sweet, yours came from the 1st batch that sold out in 58 seconds. I don't have a tracking number yet. You'll be the first owner on xda that I know of
I hope case makers start selling cases now. The one in the package doesn't seem like it it can prevent fall damage.
I accidentally drop my phone with enough force to break the ceramic at least once a year.
Anybody have to upload there proof of payment and identification to be verified on Aliexpress?

My credit card company originally rejected the purchase. I had to call them to tell them this purchase was legit. After that it all went through fine

I had to in the past when I bought some stuff off AliExpress.
Saw the price dropped $100 to $599.99!
I wrote the a message asking to credit my card the difference. Hope they will and not make things too difficult
And the 128GB variant is at 605.99$ now
That's just the way it is with early adoption and preorders. Consider yourselves lucky, you should have seen the prices some units have sold for on ebay. Or how bad the scalping will get with the iphone x...

That's the strange part. I got a text message from DHL Express with tracking info and all. Followed it all the way to the door. Never knew they did that. I got it from eBay with a mountain of eBay bucks. Seller threw in a case and screen protector. I hope the OEM case is in there. My Mix shattered when we preparing for hurricane Irma and I needed a phone. Was waiting to see the pixel 2 XL but that price point scared me off from the leak.
