Hello
I'm running barebones 1.3 on my defy but miss the default moto music player and video player.
Could someone upload them please or point me in the right direction.
Thank you.
hi,
i dont have the apk s but i think googling them could help you.
apparently motorola have one of the better music players in android.
I've tried different google search terms before posting and searching xda but I think it's a case of can't see the wood for the trees so to speak lol
Part solved it by reading up.
For future ref:
Unpack the .sbf and CG file
I have the app folder.
Now I'm trying to figure out how to install.
I have the VideoPlayer.apk and the VideoPlayer.odex
Also where is the music player in this app folder.
Throw the dog a bone guys or is it more reading for me, I'm trying my best.

Here doggy:
CMP.*
;-)
I've got the default blur music player (CMP.apk) pushed to /system/app and permissions set and it's working fine.
This media player just ain't having it, I am using the right apk here ain't I ?
(VideoPlayer.apk)
Any help on this last issue appreciated, It's the only thing left to sort out to have things just right on barebones 1.3 (thanks fritolays for the rom btw)
Need more bones
What permission did you used for the music player? I have copied CMP.apk to /system/app, remounted r/o and rebooted the device, but without success...
EDIT: sorry for my dumbness, i only needed to see the others apks permissions xD
Waiting for your success in restoring the video player, i need that too -- some games don't execute if you dont play the intro video, like Monopoly HD :/

I do not use the video player, so no more bones from me, but matching the release version of the video player with the music player, if they are not, might be a good start. Also, try clearing the video player's cache. Good luck.

I used motoandroiddepackermono to unpack the sbf and explore2fs to unpack the CM file.

lol I was doing just that, but the smg file i was trying to open with explorer2fs would just give me an error, tried with another sbf and it worked. Thanks.

Hello... Have you made any backup?
Try wiping your cache from CWM. see if it helps.
if not... Try to flash another Audio Improvement Patch. If you have joined Indonesia's Galaxy W community, it's the one shared by Irwan Hariri. I'll post the link here once I found it...
Lastly, if you lost your hope... just reflash your rom and it should work again.
i already wiping my cache from cmw but doesn't work,
can you give me the rule how flash another Audio Improvement Patch ?
thank's wil

Just reinstall music player again. Move and replace the one under system/app by using root explorer and then reboot.
I have attached the apk for u.

Files should be flashed through CWM Recovery .
Patch: This will the system libraries. Before
doing so, it copies the affected libraries to
Aqi_patch folder on the External SD card . This
folder will be used to revert back the changes, if
and when you want.

Are you using the XDA Premium App to attach the file?
I guess it doesn't work...
Better you upload it to the "Box" and share the download link here

I think u guys should specify which ROM are u using now having this music player problem. It MIGHT not be the problem of the music player apk but the system itself.
Hi, is it possible to have HTC Desire HD music player from stock (1.32) with Beats, SRS, and Dolby Mobile?
If it's possible can you give me the links?
Im using Android Revolution HD 7.0.4 but i dont like that htc music player at all because i wanted the landscape mode from the stock version.
If it's not possible can you give me a similar app for this?
Thanks!
Try this for beats:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525226
For SRS and dolby, I don't know. Isn't this already included in the stock player?
Ok i will try it, but first i need the HtcMusic.apk from the stock rom because i have tried extracting it but im unable to open system.img from my backup.

Why not just install a rooted stock rom ? Or install a stock rom and reroot it.
Btw the link i gave you also includes srs ;-)

It's possible, but everytime you reboot or change the equalizer, you'll need to run a script.
Not sure what the name of that script is, but I think you can find it easily on XDA
It's not as convenient as changing the modes in HTC Music player.

I tried searching for it... I only found beats audio 5.1 and musicbox2 from lypota as flashable zips ... I tried installing, they succesfully boot but none of them are working with the stock music app or poweramp.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA
Actually the apps are not in the .img files. It's in the .tar file. I can mount it easily on my Ubuntu but I can't install it. It shows "Application not installed"
I dont know if the question you asked is possible
But if i may recommend a player i would use player pro including the dsp pack
Great player with great audio performance
Sent from my Desire HD using xda premium
Yes, player pro can solve the problem. But the thing is the app isn't free, and some users may not want to pay for it. App like SndUi can also change the script but its not in the music player or video player app, that's why some users want the stock app.

maybe this can help u

i`m using it for a while and it works
Sorry for messing with this old post but Im still looking for a way to get the stock music player from the version (1.32.) in a rooted rom. I really want SRS Audio and Dolby Mobile and that landscape mode like CoverFlow back but I dont want to flash the Stock Rom again. If there's some way to help me just tell me.
Thanks you very much for the attention.
hi i am looking for an app that can download online videos just like videodownloadhelper in firefox please
Do i need to install a flash player? Where can i find it?
You'll have to Google it. Android stopped supporting it, and the flash player app was removed from the play store. I'm pretty sure Chrome doesn't support it, and the last I checked, you'll need Firefox to take advantage of a possible flash player app

Actually, flash player doesn't work on Android 4.3 or later. Some library Flash Player needs was removed.
I've read, but I don't recall if applied to Android 4.3, that Flash Player may work with Dolphin Browser that the Rocket Pack add-on extension. It's been quite a while since I read about it, so I don't remember the details. You'll want to Google it.
For dolphin browser
It works with Firefox . I use it on my Note 4.
