Follow below steps to boot into stock recovery for the Micromax Canvas A1.
Switch off phone
Press Power button+Volume Up simultaneously
Select Recovery mode [VOLUME_UP to select.VOLUME_DOWN is OK]
Wait for Micromax logo and then a Dead Android with Test "No Command"
Now hold Power then tap Volume up (in that order only) and leave it.
Congratulation! You are now in the stock recovery
Options available in Stock recovery:
reboot system now
apply update from sdcard
apply update from ADB
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
My version reads:
Android system recovery <3e>
KPW53
Didn't see this thread anywhere, hence the post. Sorry if it's a repeat :good:
Alternately you can use adb reboot recovery instead of switching off and doing the first button combination. But you will have to execute the Hold power and tap Volume up because it will stay at the dead droid logo
Always see people reserving the second post. So here I am reserving this post

Certainly one will receive OTA update inspite of one's bootloader unlocked. I've tested it and I'm sure about this.
I need you help on this.

I am stuck here and this phone is really good and serve my everyday routine purpose and I don't wanted to lose it.
Please help if anybody can guide about flash as well using computer, try to provide full instructions as I am not a developer

You can't root a phone from stock recovery. Flash Clockworkmod recovery via fast boot.
Then go in that recovery and flash the su zip by choosing it from sd card.
Or flash a pre rooted rom.. And don't forget to flash boot.img via fastboot before flashing the rom.
aye, ive got the same problem, and when i get the red triangle my one x freezes .. and after like, 2-3 mins i can restart it..
what to do?

Read the post above
Just select an option from the stock recovery. It'll say it can't do it and reboot. Then read the rooting process properly and try again
you can try flash the shipped rom, you can find your rom in HERE

Sorry. do not mind.. solved it by inserting a pin above volume key. seems there is a battery disconnecting switch placed there.
Install latest TWRP once rooted, I have a separate thread about how to root your device.
1. Download latest twrp from here http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/d851
2. Download Flashify (for root users) from play store
3. Open flashify select recovery file you downloaded then flash it to your device. Done
(Boot into recovery menu when device is powered off)
1. Hold volume down and power button simultaneously
2. Soon as LG logo appears immediately let go of both volume down and home button
3. Repeat step one right after step 2
You will be asked to factory reset your device SELECT YES BOTH TIMES and you should boot right into recovery menu.
Done
Thanks for the guide bit it does not work.
I did as you have explained, flashed the twrp image but it does not go to recovery mode after pressing volume down plus power butto. It turns on normally..??
How do i know if the twrp is properly installed??

If at first you don't succeed, try ... try again. You are probably not timing the second press correctly.

YES I MADE IT.. THANK YOU SO MUCH.:good:
PLEASE MENTION THIS IN YOUR GUIDE THAN ONE HAVE TO PRESS THE SAME BUTTONS AGAIN "IMMEDIETELY" AFTER SEEING LG LOGO.
This only works if you have the play store (and thus GAPPS) installed. I however do not.
You should modify the title to reflect that.

Great work on this TWRP. Works great on LP also after using a bumped boot.img and kk aboot also. Anyway to speed up backup's? Seems like over 10 minutes+ to backup to SD Card.
---------- Post added at 12:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:46 AM ----------
Ok, tried my first backup restore on TWRP from SD Card and it failed! Hmm. Anybody else have a successful restore? Just got my G3 so this is the first TWRP I've tried. Send you a PM OP.
---------- Post added at 12:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:29 PM ----------
Tried TEAMWin's TWRP and backup restore failed also. Must have been a bad backup. Gonna try backup again with TeamWin's and restore and see what happens.
this link from the stock rom thread points to a version 2.8.6.1 which is newer than everything in the OP link
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxgcaWaR5dRTZExOQnZGWV91U3M/edit?pli=1
is this the right one to use?
what are the steps to go back to no twerp and no root and back to oem phone?
on my g2 I would go to factory reset in the setting and it would only boot into recovery mode..
I just searched for TeamWin TWRP and D851. Got a link to here: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/249/ Seems twrp-2.8.7.0-d851.img is latest.
Update: I was trying to find a safe way to update TWRP and went back to the below site. The instructions now say to update with TWRP Manager. It worked flawlessly.
http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/249/
Install TWRP Manager. Tap on Install TWRP. Select your device from the device list (d851) and then tap on Install Recovery. The file will download and be installed automatically.
Hello
I have an HTC d820n that is unlocked, It has stock rom.
I updated my HTC 820n 's SU binary( Because SuperSU told me to *
Afterwards my phone always restarted to the recovery. I tried:
-Clearing cache(From wipe tab)
-Restore
-Factory reset(from Wipe tab)
-Force restarting using ADB on windows CMD
In the order listed but nothing helps as restarting always puts me back into recovery.
Does anyone have an idea what I can do? I am not too fond of custom roms, but if you can link me a good guide on it I might be able to pull it off.
I am also considering to get my HTC back to stock if that is needed. Links to posts regarding this are also welcome!
Thanks in advance.

If it not help I'll send you a recovery

I had a friend over and he put his time into it. We deleted the ROM present at that time and searched for a custom ROM(none where found because low support for this model)
But we managed to find a stock ROM and a recovery and Flashed it using fastboot.
Everything works again altought SuperSU keeps giving the notification on startup.(I ignore it wisely)
I can't update using the software updater in settings, Phone just reboots into recovery and needs to be restarted( because it is a slightly wrong ROM I guess)
If you could hook me up with an original ROM for the htc820n. Or with a solution to update using ADB(Friend does this on his phone but can't seem to find how it works for HTC)
That would help me alot.
I was reading about CyanogenMode, I really liked the Idea So I think that I need to give it a try
I read about flashing and recovery and the features you get when you use a custom ROM
I followed this thread
I saw that the build version is not the same as my T2 'I have 5.1 android version with build ' 19.4.A.0.182'' so I get upset until I reach the page 8 where the author 'abcdjdj' says that he updated the dual recovery img file and it's support the build ' 19.4.A.0.182' without problem
So I get excited, I navigated to Sony website followed the instructions to unlock my boot-loader and everything is OK.
I have successfully unlocked the boot-loader, so I moved to the next step I flashed the custom recovery using the fast-boot 'from android SDK' which has the file name ''TWRP-KK-T2_DUAL-V3.img" then when powering the device on I got to the first screen '.. By android' and 'Sony' stuffs then the device restart and a violet led lighting 'I think this called boot loop'
I've become afraid 'OMG I've just bricked my phone!'
But I remembered that I can access the recovery by pressing the volume-down button by pressing the volume-down button I get to the recovery main screen and everything is OK but I cannot boot to the system
I was thinking that I can now install CM so I do backup using the recovery, then copied the backup file to the SD card and wiped the dalvik cache after doing a simple wipe 'factory reset from the wipe menu in the TWRP recovery'
Then I moved to 'install from a zip file' option and choose the file 'cm-11-20141105-EXPERIMENTAL-tianchi' which I have downloaded from the official site of CM 'from this link' after TWRP finished installing the CM I choose to boot from the system and this is where everything turns into a living hell
My T2 is just stop working and I cannot powering it on again and when I connect it to my notebook nothing happen just nothing just the usb icon in the 'system notification area'!
I wish I could go back to the 'adb' and the blue led step again!
I've tried to press the power button with the volume-down button it worked for just a seconds and then shutting down again
So I repeated this step and then Immediately pressed the volume-up button, I get blue led again and I've confirmed that the fast-boot is still seeing my T2 by writing in the command prompt 'fastboot devices'
Can you please help me? What I can do? Please Is there any hope that I can get my T2 back to life
BTW I'm so sorry for my bad English I'm doing my best to improve it
Can I do a Software repair using Xperia Companion?

Thank you sir 'rrd84' for your replying I were about to lose my faith in humanity :crying: :crying:
I don't mind if I lose all the data but I don't want to lose my phone
Can you explain to me Why this happened knowing that the problem begin with the recovery itself since I get a boot-loop
Is this a soft-brick or hard-brick?
I see you mentioned ftf downloader tool 'XperiFirm' I have downloaded a stock ROM before can I just use it?
I downloaded it from this link
If I succeeded resurrecting my phone can I re-try installing CyanogenMode again? or this means that this Mode does not support my phone?
Please forgive my ignorance And Thank you again.

first u have done sth wrong. You can run TWRP try to install this simple recovery installer-- https://ulozto.sk/!lisJevpDG1oS/recovery-d722l-apk
just hit the install button but make sure your recovery is installed !! because entering is lil bit tricky
so install it. now power off your device and press the volume DOWN button and power button at same time now wait untill LG logo appear relase them and press again. Now it will ask you if you want to erase all your data click YES and it will enter the recovery but if you have not installed recovery or the recovery installer showed you errors this will erase all your data so be careful
and thats it!
