I'm on ViperDHD 2.1.3, coming from Blackout 3.2.
After flashing the new ROM, I am experiencing this issue: everytime I need to take a picture with flash, my Desire HD reboots.
Anyone can help me? Is it a ROM issue? Kernel maybe?
Thank you.
Probably battery issue.
Try with another battery or try with another rom.

Not at all, it happens only with this ROM. Battery is ok.

Thank you, but this is not what I really asked. I was wondering why I have this problem only with this new ROM.
Anyhow, it is fair enough to say that if I want to solve the problem I can flash another ROM.
Full wipe? It's probably got to do with the ROM's flash intensity and an older battery. Maybe the battery works with other ROMs with lower flash intensity. I would give a new battery a try if you like the ROM. Even if it doesn't work, batteries are less than $10 last time I checked.
it isn't a ROM bug, maybe you flashed sense 4+ camera in aroma which is unstable
I had the same problem with my DHD and it solved by replacing the battery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720677
I am using Venom Rom and I have no issue like that..
Note: before replacing the battery do this:
1- backup your SD card.
2- Format your SD card.
3- do full wipe for your DHD and it mean everything (system,DATA,Battery state, boot,SD card)
4- flash any ROM you like - ViperDHD 2.1.3, and see if the issue is gone or not.
- If not so you have battery issue and it need to be replaced,

Tahnk you torxx... first of all for the amazing ROM!!! I'm using stock camera and I cannot understand this issue. I'll try and flash again the ROM, maybe something went wrong even if I performed a full wipe.
Anyhow, I tried a different camera from the market and it works , so this one can be a solution too.
Which app .?
I am facing this problem too tried other roms also, issue is in every Rom . battery timing is good . Flash light application is working . But flash with camera is causing reboot
---------- Post added at 12:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:35 AM ----------
It is ok with stock rom but other custom rom ( aokp , cm 10.1 , pacman, viperdhd ) cause reboot with flash on camera picture . any solution ?
Video recording with flash on is working. Only snap shots cause reboot .
I had same issue on my 2 years old DHD. New battery completely solve the problem with flash. Some other users reported the same.
Sent from my Nexus 7 GSM using xda app-developers app
I bought new battery and problem is solved.
try "Force GPU rendering"
Settings -> Developer options -> Force GPU rendering
it might help especially if you have stock S4 camera, the one that comes originally with ViperDHD
it happened to me and this just fixed it right away
hope it helps
battery
I think it's related to the battery. You try to change one other battery performance outcome. If not then you should update the Viper 2.2.0

hi,
I had too many problems with CM11, including quite a few demigods crash and the infamous deep sleep problem (yours apparently), maybe because on the LGOG, the QC modem chipset is buggy and you need to disable C1 & C2 sleep states (maybe C2 & C3) .
to do that, you could install FAUXCPU.
Another option (much better I believe) is to install VANIR or another AOSP based ROM. Personally, since then, no system crash, everything is rock solid.

Thanks but I am actually new at rooting & flashing ROM(it's my first time). Kindly guide me about better and stable kitkat ROMs if you can.
And elaborate if you can about solving this problem without flasing another ROM
guys does someone or anyone expirience Battery Drain when sensors are not working and the temperature will sky high, i dont know which rom has that problem, encountered it in MIUI v5 stock rom, even tried CM11 all updates, then flash custom kernel but still randomly expirience Battery Drain when sensors are not working...
cheers for my bad english
Take a logcat and look inside for the errors/warnings.If you don't find anything unusual in the logs then it's just the hardware problem.
Same here :'( stock rom miui v5.

Same - only reboot helps ...
DECURO Rom MIUI-45.0.0
yes reboot the device and its back to normal,...
i encountered it maybe once a week or so,,...
It's fixed on latest OTA v50
sensors.qcom seems to give battery drain issues on v45, but after trying v50 for a while there is no wakelock for that process when not in use.
So v50 is good to go....
Hope it helps...

Hello Guys, I just bought a Lenovo Z2 Plus and wanted to install a custom rom on it. I did my thorough research through XDA and Youtube about various OREO based custom roms available for this phone. I like the Pixel Experience Rom but I am a newbie in flashing custom roms. I read in few threads about network connectivity issues in the Pixel Experience Rom and Resurrection Remix rom as well. In few of the youtube videos, I saw that the battery backup and Antutu score of Pixel Experience rom is marginally lower when compared to Resurrection Remix.
Can you guys give me your opinion on which rom should I install on my stock device. Kindly please provide the respective rom's Antutu Benchmark scores and Screen On Time especially for the Pixel Experience Rom. Please guide me about the bootloader unlocking and TRWP installation process as well. The last time I did all these was 2 years ago so kindly help me.
Thanks.
I have tried the PE (Pixel Exp) ROM and here my observations on that.
The Good
Extremely fluid. Performance is mind blowing. I have tried 3 Custom ROM so far (AEX, RR, PE) and PE felt the best performing in terms day to day device usage. Feels like PE is meant for Z2 Plus and vise versa. Everything works out of the box, GApps are preloaded, ROM is simple but very effective. All sensors, every piece of hardware included in the phone works perfectly. I never felt it was a custom rom, felt like meant for Z2 Plus.
The Bad
Not just just pixel, this is present in all Custom ROM for me and my device. I am from India, and using Reliance Jio VoLTE.
Now the problem is network reception isn't as good as stock ZUI.
The 2.4GHz WiFi got limited to 72 mbps only. Stock ZUI has no problem, tried changing few ROMs and finally settled with AEX which I see can connect to 2.4GHz WiFi and 150 mbps. I have tried baseband 1.76 (ZUI 2.5.104 ST India) and baseband 1.70 (Latest) for ZUI 3.5.3xx China. Nothing seems to help. Out of 4 ROM, Stock ZUI (2.5/3.5), PE, RR, AEX, only ZUI and AEX are able to give me a 150 mbps wifi link speed.
Now regarding the VoLTE reception. VoLTE works fine but network is fluctuating like hell. For me, the same is present in all three custom rom I have tried. AEX, RR, PE. Tried baseband 1.70/1.76 but couldn't solve it. There are no call drops but network isn't stable at all. Tested with Reliance Jio NetVelocity app for detailed information and it seems with none of the Custom ROM, Phone is able to sustain a stable 2300 MHz link. Falls back to 1800 MHz and 850 MHz randomly. Network speed wasn't bad, infact I would say satisfactory.
Only ZUI seems to have a stable Jio reception for me.
The Ugly
Battery issue. SOT is similar with 3 roms I have tried. PE/RR/AEX but something under PE is causing serious battery drain while idle. Overnight the phone is losing 2.5% to 3% battery per hour. I have tested to different custom kernel. AR-Beast and Heliox v2.0 with PE. Liked AR-Beast better as Heliox would underclock the CPU/GPU. Now with AR-Beast the idle battery drain came down to just around 1% per hour but still higher than default Resurrection Remix (RR ROM) or AEX ROM.
Presently using AEX ROM without any extra modification. Performance isnt as fuild as Pixel ROM but less problematic than others. Infact only ROM allowing me a 150mbps WiFi link speed.
Please guide me about the bootloader unlocking and TRWP installation process as well. The last time I did all these was 2 years ago so kindly help me.

Follow this guide to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP. Then installation processor of ROM will depend on which ROM you select. Note, there are two different ROM type now. 1. Full Treble 2. Non Treble. Installation process are different for them.
Pixel is a non treble ROM. Like 2 years ago, you would feel similar setup process.
If you chose Pixel, after you have unlocked and got TWRP installed,
1. download PE ROM
2. boot into TWRP
3. Wipe system, data, cache, dalvik
4. Flash ROM
5. Wipe Cache
6. Reboot
If all went ok, frist boot will take a few minutes and you will be asked to setup your Google Account under Pixel Exp ROM.
Remember, I am not an expert so wait for others to comment and guide you !! Just sharing from my personal experience !!
Good luck.

Thanks man, can you provide the link for AR Beast kernel. When should I flash it, I mean along with rom or after flashing rom?

You need the NON-TREBLE new trees for PE ROM
Now as I said I am no expert so I dont know if one should flash kernel at one go. I can only tell you what I did.
First I did the PE. Setup the phone and used it for 20 odd minutes while setting up all the things. Then I went on to flash the AR-Beast. Some one suggested me not not turn on the phone immediately after kernel flash. Rather power off from TWRP wait for 10 mins before switch on. I don't know if it is required or not, but I have followed that advice.
Thanks.
@4tanmoy
One small mistake from my end. PE ROM comes with GApps included. So when you flash PE ROM, you don't need to Flash GApps again.

Did you flash it ?
Share your experiences with Pixel. What is working, what's not, how is it doing ?

Yes, I did some more research. Flashed PE with UberCool.
After Setup, I flashed AR Kernal and SuperSu.
Installed Google Camera Mod for HDR+ and Potrait Modes.
Flashed Dialer Fix to resolve the dialer problem as it showed that phone is not supported when launching dialer. now fixed.
The PE ui is butter smooth, phone doesnot heats anymore. Charged last night till 100 % and browsed youtube, downloaded my preferred apps from play store, browsed quora for 30 mins, took some pictures. In the morning I played subway surfers, clash royal, some web browsing, downloaded all remaining apps for my phone. The battery is now 59% while I typing this from the phone.
Overall, I am astonished by the PE smoothness and completely satisfied by the battery life.
Excellent !!
Could you please check two things, how is the battery drainage overnight? While phone is idle.
Secondly, what is the WiFi Link speed?
Basically, two of my main problems lol

regarding battery drain, I slept at 02:40 at night at 21 %. Woke up at 08:15 at 17 %. I guess 1% per hour. I am getting a Stand By time of 20+ hours and Screen On Time of more than 5 hours 30 minutes approximately.

Thanks for the reply.
Your data is very similar to what I have experienced with Pixel ROM.
This drainage is one of the issue for which I had to move out of Pixel ROM
Excellent review, I too installed PE and is enjoying every bit of Pixel, but the main problem I am facing is ,my phone's all sensors are dead or not working has tried Zuk Official too The nougat Indian and The Oreo Chinese version, but without any luck proximity gyroscope pedometer and other sensors are not working,
Would like ask someone from the forum to please help me to fix the isaue, as far as Custom rom in Zuk 2 I will stick to Pixel as it is the best till now what ever I have used . I have TWRP installed has flashed sensor.zip available in the Zuk Forum but nothing seems to work.
Waiting for a reply from the forum members it they take out sometime to help a man is distress.

Its a clear sign that something wrong with the hardware.
Do you have warranty left ?
If you do, QFIL 1.9 then flash 2.5 Indian ROM. Everything will be bone stock with locked bootloader and stock recovery. Go and claim warranty !!

Thanks for the reply but I think it has nothing to go with hardware issue, has read several posts mentioning same problem and they got it resolved one or the other way I am waiting for the same and as fast as warranty is concerned I don't think it has . Purchased long ago .

If the issue is present with stock ROM also with bone stock phone, then it feels that the issue is with the Hardware.
Anyway, hope you find a solution and if you do, pls post that so that for reference if later down the some one needs he can fix his issue.

How much for the display change?
I got a friend with cracked 3GB variant needing a display change. Just taking an idea about approximately how much you spent for this change
