Curious to see if anyone out there has either crafted a 22mm leather band to fit on the Moto 360 or have found some that are compatible with no modification. Thinking of buying one soon and this will be a big factor in my final decision. Please show any of your cool bands!
i came here looking for the same. i did just buy a natural leather band on amazon to match my phone. ill post pics and links on moday if it works.

i canecelled the order. i decided to order some leather and do it myself. so i can have a few bands of varying colors.
Hey guys I went into best buy and surprisingly they had some leather bands so I grabbed two. I was not a fan of the grey one that came with the Moto. Now there will need to be some modification done cos the moto has that gap in the middle (I'm guessing to force us to buy the bands only from Motorola) I used my knife to cut a gap in mine and it snapped into place.

They ran $20 a pop. Much better now with the black leather.

I personally don't think it is the only reason, I think it also has to do with the possibility of cracking the back with stiffer bands, like the pebble band. The notch stops the band from bending over the curved ends of the watch.

Got my custom 22mm leather strap in. Fit's flush on. You NEED a watch tool to install bands like these. Especially a fully flush band like this one. Fits well and love the feel. Thick too! Now which do I wanna wear? SS Super Engineer II or this?
Where did I get it made? From cloverstraps.com. You can check out his other works as well. He mainly does watches, but I have solely kept him busy with smartwatch projects lol.

It's clover making them (He's located in Croatia-shipping takes a week). I just gave him strict instructions to have the leather at the springbars be 3mm and not really any thicker. Glad I did!

I didn't take pics of the backside of the watch to see if the "semi-circle" of the watch can be prone to breakage. I think I can say that my cloverstrap past the test. I guess wearing it more than today will tell. Not sure if scrapping my notches in the watch helped or not, but it's already done. And the band fits perfect inside of it. I don't think the band would have fit with the notches still in though. Anywhoo more pics here....

You can buy this custom made band for the Moto 360 off of Etsy. Mine has shipped and is on the way. I got the coffee brown shown here which will deepen in color with age. Select your favorite thread color. Takes up to 4 days to make and also comes in black and tan bands.

Heres my current leather strap. Its still needs to be worn in as the leather is still quite stiff, but I like the look. Its a Fossil 22mm leather watch strap.

Was it plug and play or did you have to modify the middle portion for it to fit?

Had to modify the middle and cut out with a utility knife. Id much rather cut into an inexpensive watch band than cut out the part in the watch as others have done. If I ever choose to sell the 360, I think Ill have a better chance with no modification done to the watch.

How long are those Kreisler bands? i.e. is the strap length the same as the moto band (fits bigger wrist), smaller (doesn't fit as big of a wrist), or about the same?
How "soft" or flexible are they?
Especially the black?

i went to best buy and looked at em. they should fit most wrists. they are padded. which means the leather is really thin. so it shold be pliable enough from the get go.

I first used a dark brown leather Fossil band, but the other day I saw this dark brown leather Kreisler band at Best Buy and decided to pick it up because I liked the look a little more and the band is a little thinner and softer than the Fossil band. Looks much better in person by the way. The pictures on Best Buy's site are inaccurate.
Edit: Forgot to answer your first question. The Kreisler band seems like it will fit larger wrists than the Fossil band I had and the original Moto band. I wore both of those on the 4th or 5th hole (from the smallest), but the Kreisler I wear on the 2nd or third.

The Kreisler bands are 1/4 inch shorter than the OEM band that comes with the 360. Works for me as I have smaller wrists. Out out of the box they are stiff, not uncomfortable by any means but they will take some time to soften up.
Out of the two the tan one is my favorite. I have the LD West holster for my phone so it matches
I just got a dark brown leather band, I had to cut out a small gap with a utility band like the one on the original band.
The brand is a 22mm Hadley-Roma (model MS784), and got it from globalwatchband.com

I just got my ZenWatch and the first thing I noticed was the powerful smell coming from the watchstrap. I know it's genuine leather - but wow...
I've never liked leather watchstraps, so I was planning on getting a replacement anyway... but still...
so any 22mm watch strap will work with this watch?
Yup....
After some careful consideration I decided to keep my watch. The couple things that I don't like about it could easily be fixed with a software update, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

I've had the watch for 4 days now, and the clasp on the original band has popped open 3 times when I brushed up against something at just the right angle. Twice while undoing my seat belt the clasp touched the side of the seat back, and once my wife and I just happened to reach for something at the same time and her hand touched the clasp. If it hadn't happened I wouldn't have bothered looking for a replacement band, but I'm kinda glad it did. I prefer the way this looks MUCH better than the drab brown of the original. And, it's a physical impossibility for this buckle to accidentally pop open through normal use

Thanks for the pics. I'm not a fan of that particular clasp type but the look is a definite big improvement over the std brown strap. If I'm catching it right, the band and watch body don't quite match (the bands a little too silver/chrome [sometimes called polished] to the watch body's more "brushed silver" look, yes? or is it just the pictures?)
Asking because I'm looking for a similar type replacement and I'd want to avoid that (I think that would grind on my OCD/ADD if it's noticable)

As I asked Bludevilx - the more silver (polished) parts don't seem like they'll match the watch body very closely. But on that band it looks like a mix of polished and brushed. How well does the brushed match the body? Looks like it might be very close. If you could, would you post some pics of the band on the watch?
Thank you.

If you look at the edge of the watch you'll see that the gold is sandwiched between 2 polished sides. The brush is very similar. I can't really tell a difference.
I stopped by my local jewelry repair shop in the mall and picked up this lovely Kevlar band and I couldn't be happier, also got to keep the clasp FTW If anybody is interested it's also a Hadley-Roma, they seem to make ALL the watchbands.

I just need and advise, I'm thinking in buy a generic metal band from ebay, or the Pebble steel metal band, but i read in this forum of cracking plastic connectors, so I'm afraid if this bands maybe can break the plastic connector.

Given that people have cracked the back using stock leather bands, i think the problem is probably more an issue of design and how people wear watches. If people wear the bands looser, there is minimal stress and less breakage.
As it is, there is no way the moto band is worth 4x the pebble; i am doing good so far with mine, and have no regrets..

It came from Hong Kong and looks pretty good for such little money (9 euros). The crack back problem won't be an issue, I believe, as you can see in the last photo. Paid 2 euros for a guy on a watch store install it properly.
I would very much prefer the 24mm Monolink Metal Band but Motorola insists on not selling it separately for us that already have the watch. But considering the price I payed and comparing to the grey leather band I am very pleased

You need an 18MM band. Amazon has a bunch of them. I actually replaced mine with a black rubber band and like it, although I wish it was a 22mm band since 18 looks a little thin.
You should be able to get a 22 mm one with 18 mm lugs.

They are harder to find than you might think.
We need to get a thread with links going.
There are some that are adjustable, 22 mm wide but the ends squeeze in to accommodate 18 mm. The downside is that they scratch the inside of the lugs.
For soft material, you can always try to cut down the end.
Don't forget you will need 18mm spring bars since most bands don't support quick release, and ones that may come with a 22 mm band likely won't work.

Is there any disadvantage to scratching the inside of lugs? I've seen several of these adjustable 18-22 bands. I was thinking of giving one a try. I have slim wrists so the 18mm width overall might actually fit me better. But I wouldn't try if scratching the lugs meant potential damage and/or the band popping off while I wear it
Guys please send a link to a band if you find a suitable one. thanks!
I got this made in Italy band (ASIN: B00FA5R31Y) from Amazon. It's high quality band. However it's still a bit loose even though it has been resized to the smallest position. I have to wear it about half inch above the wrist bone. Time to time I have to slide it up to have tighter fit. For reference, my wrist is 5.5in circumferenence right above the wrist bone..
I still have the original Milanese band. PM if you are interested in buying it. It's like new since I change the band right after I got my watch.
I just got a tec.one 18" band on ebay for just under $8 shipped. It's black nylon. Dirt cheap, but doesn't look too bad. It's a good fit, and much lighter and more sporty. Anyway, I saw more of them in a coupe of different colors, so they should work pretty well. Sorry for the low light pics.

I normally get bands custom made from a few people and from etsy as well; they do custom orders as well, depending on the seller. My current fav is from my great friend Patrik from Cloverstraps.com. He has made bands for all of my smartwatches starting from the LG G Watch. My current one being 18mm is all his style and color and leather. I had zero say because I told him to go do whatever he wanted lol. Normally that is NOT the case; he is very detailed and the quality is one of the best and that is why I keep going back to him lol.

I got this 22mm band on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TR2DX8I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
I cut the far links on each end of the band with wire snips, and it fits perfectly.

Thanks but which one? The first one is a ball face and the second one is an Angelo Del Mar face, both done in WatchMaker app. There's a treasure trove in the g+ community there where I do a bit of dimming. [emoji3] [emoji4]

I like the ball face. Do I need to have the watchmaker app installed to use it? Is the one that cost 3.99 in the play store? I'm new to Android wear. Any way you can share the ball face?
Thanks

I saw a bunch of nice looking Hadley-Roma rubber straps that would probably look perfect on the Huatch. I haven't tried them yet, but the 18mm ones should fit:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/18mm-Hadley...132641?hash=item4d26c824e1:g:7OEAAOxy4t1ShqQ~
Would you guys recommend any specific Stainless Steel Link Band? The official one by Huawei looks nice, but is too expensive. Quick-release pins would be very nice as well.
Thanks a lot!
hey,
This one:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-...acelet-Tool-for-Huawei-Watch/32563705341.html
It has it all for half the price of the official one from Huawei.
Thanks! Looks very nice.
It uses a 18mm band though if you ordering that one.
Hum, you're right. The website claims the band is 22 mm thick. It's supposed to be 18 mm, right? But most of the reviews are positive (and include photos), so I guess the band fits well.
I also found this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Butterfly-Buckle-YESOO-Packaging/dp/B0178GKU44/
Looks good as well.

Got the watch last week myself so been shopping around as well.
I've seen that Yesoo and a brand called Hoco (bad spelling on both) on both Wish and Aliexpress as well as Amazon but the overseas total cost is a lot less but takes forever. Just depends how bad you want it I guess. Let me know if you find any other deals.
I forgot your original link was from Ali, so I guess your looking there too
I was checking out the milanese loop knock offs as well:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0178KWWBE/ref=nav_timeline_asin?ie=UTF8&psc=1

it's a 22mm band that is 18mm at the lugs. look at a picture of the stock band and you can see it gets skinnier right at the end
I ended up buying this one:

I really like it! The size is perfect, it comes with built-in quick-release pins, extra pins and a watch link remover tool.
Bought huawei stainless steel with leather strap for $280 a week ago.
Got a stainless steel 20mm band with 18mm lugs and butterfly clasp for Just 10$

Honestly all the bands being sold (like the ones in this thread) are pretty much exactly the same from what I have seen. I have one of the many steel link bands that everyone has been posting.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EEDX3MU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I like mine, though I did do a bit of filing at the lug ends since they were a bit sharp and just a hair too thick making inserting the band a bit hard. It has the quick pins and securely fits and snaps close well. Do be careful about the pins they can slide out as with most of the metal bands out there. I also just bought these and awaiting delivery
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Quick-Release-Watchband18mm-for-Asus-ZenWatch-2-Women-45mm-Huawei-Watch-2015-Stainless-Steel-Band-Strap/32682330768.html
and
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/NI5L-Silicone-Rubber-Smart-Wrist-Watch-Band-Bracelet-Strap-For-Huawei-Talkband-B3/32701080350.html
Not sure about the rubber one since it was made for the Talkband and I see varying lug sizes (16 or 18mm), but for $4 bucks why not.
I also have these other bands if you are curious about any of them:

Thank you for the information and your advice. I was mainly interested in the stainless link bands so I went ahead and purchased the AliExpress one.
I can NOT recommend the eBay watchband mentioned by Panzer500. It cost me broken glass on the watch.
The ratchet that closes the watchband is not stainless steel, I suspect it is just cast aluminimum without necessary precision that would be possible if it was made of machined steel. It does not fit firmly in the hole provided so it can open very easily. It came loose today and I have broken my watch glass.

When you closed the clasp did you make sure that it was actually closed on one of the indents of the band because 5 days straight wearing it and never once was it loose or came undone.
About 2 months ago I bought one from Aliexpress (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Luxu...acement-For-Huawei-Watch-Hot/32636270014.html).
I'm wearing it every day for 2 months without any issue. It is quite heavy (it feels a bit heavier than the original one). But never became opened by accident. On the contrary: I find it sometimes a bit hard to open the clasp.
And after 2 months is still looks great, and I do think this is actually quite good quality stainless steel. I'm actually amazed by the price (especially considering the quality, and my previous watchband from a local market for 15€ which was a lot worse than this one).

Yes. After it came loose once I have always closed it carefully and pulled on the band to see if it holds. Next morning the watch fell to the floor.

The cool thing I like about the Magnetic Milanese is that when you aren't wearing it, the magnetic and flexibility allow you to create a triangle "stand". So when it is on your desk, it is elevated and facing you.
The downfall is that it loosens up during the day, but it is nice that you can finely tune the watch tightness depending on your situation. When I am out and about, I like it to be semi loose. However if I am working, I can tighten it up.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EEDX3FW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The big downfall is that I think it looks kinda feminine. I like the big lugs myself.
When I learned that I could buy a google leather strap and swap out 20mm straps with a tool I jumped at the chance. I also bought one of the google elastic straps. Both are very nice and nice quality and a bit pricey. However those two are worth the cash IMO. I was able to swap out straps to a canvas strap. As third party, I bought a cheapy 20bux velcro strap and total garbage and looks cheap. Do not recommend. I also bought a bracelet for 25 bux off amazon. It took about 3 weeks to get to me but it works. I have a PVD version so I bought the PVD bracelet to fit. And they do fit. However, I do suggest if you can find one get a bracelet with microadjust holes at the clasp. I will post pics later today. Thanks for taking the time to read! Please send me any questions you may have.
To me the Hazel band looks grey. I'd be grateful for some 3rd party recommendations if you guys have any. I find grey a bit dull. Thanks!
Here's the pvd bracelet from Amazon. The connectors are prone to being scratched pretty easily.
There's others out there now. Pretty sure they're all the same.the stamped clasp is a bit larger on the others I've seen in pics.

I like the looks of them. But I personally don't love the dramatic tapering of the straps and makes the strap skinnier than I personally prefer. I have a ton of watches with a bunch of different straps. I tend to try to make the strap look as close as the lug width can go to and I don't mind a slight taper after that. However now have the stretch OEM bracelet, I think that fits...well mostly lol m the lugs are dark green, which is kinda odd but works.
I hope some watch band companies release some for pixel watch as currently over priced google and then cheap chinese ones are only options.
This the OEM Google stretch ones. Super comfy and worth the price imo. You have to know what your wrist is size when ordering. Mine is the small. Sizes go from extra small to extra large.
Ringke just released their metal bands that are shipping 1/25. Weird because I just got notification that mine shipped today (1/17). Well the label was created. The band is 100 USD, a far cry from the one I posted that took about a month to get to me from China. This Ringke version comes with tools as well to adjust the band. This band is an oyster style bracelet with a butterfly deployant. With the "R" stamped at the clasp. Looks decent, but not sure 100 decent.

I bought the pvd
I got it installed and I can attest, that this is way better quality. But is it 100 bux worth? Having handled hundreds of different straps, I have to say yes. But to a non watch person, it's subjective. To me it's leaps better than the Amazon one I posted earlier.

Alright, it arrived today! Replacing the original strap was fairly easy (although this mechanism Google used is kinda weird) and the watch just pops in the Caseology strap from underneath. This area of the band is rubber-ish so it stretches a little so you can slide the watch in. It seems pretty protective with the raised bezels around the screen.
I've just put the watch on for a few minutes with it but it seems quite comfy. I love the look of it! It gives the Pixel Watch a completely different design in my opinion, in a good way.
The only thing I don't like is the way it closes: Google's sports band is much cooler with the double hole thingy (not sure what it's called). Caseology's is more traditional with the metal buckle. We'll see tomorrow how it feels as I should be wearing the watch most of the day outside.
