I live in Detroit,USA. I am using T-Mobile.My cell phone is Lg G3 Cat6. But I can not connect LTE. ( Only 3G ). Can you help me?
Make sure the APN is set to T-Mobile settings and if that doesn't work then it may not support the American LTE bands and you will be stuck in 3G.
I don't think the F460 supports T-Mobile's penta band set up, it may only work with a couple of them. Check their bands and then look in your service menu by dialing 5457#*460#

I have a LG Optimus G Pro F240L which is under LGU network ( Korea).
Got the Lte sign working and i can browse the web using it, but I dont have my local network signal (Philippines)
Tried the service menu change it to Global +Lte and it keeps coming back to cdma+LTE. We use wcdma here maybe thats the reason for not having the local networks signal
What Does The Global + Lte Network Means and how can i make both LTE and my local network work.
BTW I can use the phone for call, text with 3g signal under wcdma only network preference.

if have preferred network type, select LTE
APNs should be ATT LTE pta
Mobile network settings Data enabled check box selected
these are in wireless & networks.
again, i don't have korean version, but this is what i have on my modded E980.

Same here to HK E988, no mobile data connect.
But i switch to 3G preferred instead of LTE preferred , it will connect to 3G/H after few sec.
And you can switch it back to LTE preferred after that.
Hi, I am new to the forum and want to share my experience about LTE BandSelection.
As discussed in the previous thread, you can access to Verizon Hidden Menu called LTEBANDSELECTION. By default, Band2 Band4 Band13 are checked and Band5 is unchecked. However, from LG website LTE 3/7 is supported for Roaming, but those bands are not on the list.
I can confirm that at least Band3 is working because I am on a carrier that uses Band8 and Band3. The problem is that, when I try to change the LTE band selections above (ex: adding Band5 to the list), it seems that LTE3/7 is not working anymore. After changing it once, I only get 3G signal without any LTE. The only way that I can get the Band3 signal again is going back to the original stock rom (13b) again.
It is weired that there is no hidden menu to select Band3/7. Do you have any idea on this problem? Thanks!

my lg g3 f400s have this problems in LTE network. before some weeks all going good but now
when i connect only GSM mode it works great, All signals good and connected to network.
When i connect to forcefully LTE Only mode or Auto mode, it shows Emergency mode only, where as i connected to band 3 (1800mhz) which my service provider band and also have in my lg g3 f400s band.
1. In LTE mode where phone shows emergency mode only, signals bar shows full signals.. setting>>about>> network shows signals strength in some values in dBM( it means it have signals LTE) .Service State shows ( Out of service).
2. when i enter in to Hidden menu LG g3 *#546368#*400# >> modem settings >> Engineering Mode Here LTE signals shows, Bandwidth also shows
but
EMM STATE : DEREG
SUB STATE : LIMITED_SERVICE & some time it shows ATTACH_NEEDED
RRC : IDLE
GUTI : FFXXXXXXXXX

I think Its not apn issue. Due to only gsm worked, not convert in lte network.. Before some days its automtically convert into lte but not now..

I brought my Robin to Toronto in July, but couldn't get data service however I tried. I did some brief googling on this, and found no answer. The 2G voice and SMS worked fine.
I have never had data problem in Canada in the past. I am on T-Mobile and previously LG V20, IPhone SE, Moto G4 Play, Galaxy S3, S4, S7 all worked fine in Toronto.
(trust me I tried all mobile setting options being an amateur android user for many years)
Any suggestions (other than APN setting etc that is user available in mobile data setting)?

Check which band your device is connecting to when you use your T-Mobile SIM.
There are many diagnostic codes but most are disabled for users to invoke.
But this one usually works,
Use *#*#4636#*#* > phone information > network type that is the band you are connected to.
If you aren't able to get info of the band you are connected to try apps like LTE Discovery or NetMonitor Cell Signal Logging.
LTE Band numbers are associated to certain frequency. Check [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LTE_frequency_bands)
If the band you are connected to is indeed 3G/4G supported go to your carrier and ask them to get this working. Carriers usually have a whitelist of 4G devices which is how they determine which SIM is connected to which device and which network to provide.
