Hello everybody,
i'm stuckin in bootloop with my G3 and tried to flash the stock with the Flash Tool from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190
I've tried the tool with windows 7 x64 and windows 8.1 x64.
The problem is that everytime the tool stucks at 10% at "S/W Upgrade is in progress". After 10 minutes the tool abort the progress due to an unknown error. I've tried it with the Flash Tool, with the Mobile Suite and LG PC Suite. The drivers are installed and i tried different usb ports, but no difference.
The display on the phone show following text while it stucks at the progress:
U User S0. 1 AS0.0 B100 UHS
S U LG-D855 04.4.2 Hrev_10
D85510h
D85510h

The progress bar on the phone does not change. It displays 0% the whole time.
I'm now out of any ideas how the problem could be solved? Does anyone have an idea?

I would use windows 7 not 8 unless you disable the signature verification at boot. I had this same issue and I fixed it by trying a different set of dll, and tot files along with updating my mobile driver for the phone.

Thank you very much! Finally got it working again. Reason was Windows 8 and I think also the wrong dll.

Maybe is not your operating system since other users have reported it's working fine with them look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=599140
Maybe you are missing something when you flash are you running the autobat file?
Are you unzipping the ROM and files runnin autobat as gmaniac2008 already states, if not then maybe this is the answer to your problem..
Flashin: Error 270 Stuck at 3%:
i have just re-flashed my phone using Windows 7 no problems.
The only problem I had flashing with Win7 is when the screen turns white the USB connection disconnects and then connects back up with a different device. If its the first time flashing then it has to download and install the drivers for that other device. Which it does all automatically just fine. I got to the point where it tries to flash before that driver had finished installing and it came up with some error. But I tried it again and it worked perfectly. That is the only difference I have seen with from flashing with xp and win7.
did you run the sda unlocker app?
I have an AT&T Cyan Lumia 900, and I've been trying to flash Windows Phone 7.8 on it. I downloaded the correct variant, with the correct product code via navifirm and tried refurbishing it onto my Lumia. I connect my phone, it says there's the 8558 firmware version available for update, I start refurbishing, it says 'flashing' for a few seconds, my phone reboots and then I get a message saying 'Refurbishing Failed : Timeout. Can't change the mode'
What am I doing wrong?

Yes, yes I did. I tried reinstalling the Care Suite, and now its not even recognizing my phone. I 'repaired' the WinUSB Driver, and tried again. This time, it did recognize the phone but again gave me the 'Time Out : Can't Change Mode' error.
I tried 4 times and finally it works. The timeoout problem is due to windows installing the driver. just keep trying to refurbish

I installed all the drivers, repeatedly. And tried about 8 times. The same error every time.
I repeated the process with another computer. Same error.
The reboot immediately after it starts refurbishing/recovering is what I think is the problem. It is exactly after it reboots that I get the error message. The 'time out' one when I'm refurbishing, and the 'application lost connection with your device' error when I tried recovery.
Try downloading the firmware directly from the nokia care suite

I updated my PC to windows 10 'from 8.1 which I had no problem)
Now my phone is not recognized. (MTP or PTP) --> LG Androidnet phone : driver unavailable
Latest LG USB drivers (from XDA) didn't hange anything.
I think that it's the same old sh*t than win7, when you don't have mediaplayer installed (MTP works once you installed mediaplayer).
I found a package for MTP on Microsoft website, but didn't change anything
Did someone have the same issue ?
This should help :

Hi
I had the same problem. I re-installed the LG drivers for my D855 and still no luck. Then I downloaded and installed LG PC Suite, let update itself and now my G3 connect to the PC. I tried using the LG Mobile Support Tool but Windows 10 says it is incompatible. Hopefully LG will release new drivers and update the tool.

I find the way to do the job :
First : install Microsoft MTP driver
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=48231
Second : install LGUnitedMobileDriver_S52MAN314AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.14.1.exe
http://18d5a.wpc.azureedge.net/8018D5A/tool/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=UW00120120425
And then it works...
But if you wanna use download mode and fastboot this is what you will need to do also

Didn't work for me :/
I had no problems after installing windows 7. I followed this guide for my LS990: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...de-how-to-restore-sprint-lg-g3-ls990-t2852042
I can confirm this method works with D855, followed what the posts and video said to install and do. Flashed back to stock ROM and rerooted worked without a drama with Win 10 64bit.
Cheers
It works well on d855 and D331. thank you
Haha!! Found a solution!
Sorry for necro-ing this thread, but even now I still have the problem (with my d852).
My solution was to go on LG's website for my specific model and install the USB driver in Software Updates -> Way2 USB.
Again, sorry for the necro, but I don't want people in the future struggling with this.
I know this is an old thread but I just had the same problem with my Lenovo T450 laptop. A few days ago it recognized my G3 LS990 but today it wouldn't. I fixed it by installing the latest USB driver from LG's web site. http://www.lg.com/us/support/software-firmware-drivers
I have done the kdz method on lg flash tool 2014 and its been stuck on 12% i need help now! Its been stuck for a long time and i retried the process and hasnt work. Please help!!

Windows 10 and LG Flash Tool 2014
If you updated to Windows 10 and the problem using Flash Tool only arose after the update, you may need to run the application file (lgflashtool.exe) in Windows compatibility mode. I had the same problem reported above, but solved it by changing the compatibility mode to Windows 8. All went perfectly after that. (Open the properties on lgflashtool.exe, choose the compatibilty tab, and select Windows 8 for the mode in which Windows should run it.)

Hi
LG G3 D855 OS Android 5 V21c-TWN-xx
I am trying to upgrade to MM via the subject Flash Tool but it gets as far as 15% and then a Window pops up telling me
that the Phone has been disconnected and to reconnect and retry.
The phone is still connected and showing as such in explorer. I re-installed the drivers and still the same problem.
Tried compatibility mode Win 8 and the same thing happens. Anyone have this problem in Win 10 or know of a way round it.
I also have a WIn 8.1 Laptop which I used to update to the current OS with Flash Tool 2014 but it is now stopping and giving an error
"This programme has stopped working MS is checking Blah Blah"

LG Up shows phone as "unknown" no matter what I do.
I also have a G Flex 2 and this shows up ok in LG Up.

I downgraded from MM to LP two days ago. I had the little window saying "unknown "
The problem was that windows wasn't seeing my phone. I unplug the cable and plug it back and it worked. As I wrote before I am using windows 7.
Hi
Managed to get LG Tool 2014 to work and D855 now on v30b (MM) global.xx. Problem was driver related. I downloaded Win 10 G3 specific driver from LG site and everything then worked.
good to know pal.
i have lg g2 mini
the keyboard dos not start and my phone has number password
what can i do to restor my phone?
it is not root
I have windows 10 pro and i get same problem, i have solved this with driver usb install (sorry for my poor english)
Found my old LG-VS450PP Optimus Exceed 2 for Verizon. It was working fine when put away.
Charged the battery on a working phone (same model) but this recently resurrected phone will not boot up. Same results using vol+ / power or just power button regardless of sequencing battery out/usb cord in or out.
Gives error "boot certification verify" and then shuts down. Back light remains lit.
I can get it to open into another screen (Vol- / power) that offers four options: continue reboot, factory data reset, wipe cache, safe mode boot. Selecting any of those options results in the unit shutting down.
Vol+ plus power do not open Download window.
While it fails to boot, I can still see two folders on my Win 7 PC: image and verinfo. Image contains numerous files . So the phone IS connected to the PC but there appears to be something else that fails to initiate "connection" as far as the LG Flash tool 2014 is concerned. Any suggestions welcome.
Thinking of last resorts, I read somewhere of shorting a test point on the board but can't find directions for this model.
This web site is goog and helpfull for me.
