OK after spending an hour trying to fix this I have discovered it to be caused by the Xposed module Disable Location Consent which apparently does not like the latest play services update.
i'm getting i huge wakelock from this com.google.android.gms.fitness after this stupid update!

DUDE!! Thanks so much for figuring this out. I kept looking at logcat to make sure what it was...but i couldn't find anything. Seriously...you saved me so much time. Cheers mate!
yep, the Xposed module Disable Location Consent was the problem for me, too.
A few days ago it started after I deinstalled the play service for "performance improvements" (you all know the "tweak"). After this I got force closes all the time... I flashed the phone and noticed, it still there. So it must be an app.
After a bit I came to the solution by randomly deactivating xposed modules
Cool, thanks. This has been driving me crazy since yesterday. I even restored my backup. Now hopefully they'll fix that xposed module.
I think the FCs appeared cause Google's location pop-up now has a checkbox that says "don't show this again". Which is kinda good, since it saves the trouble of having this xposed module to begin with.

Thank you so much for this!! This was driving me crazy. SO annoying. After disabling that module, no more errors! Glad Google finally added the 'Don't show again' checkbox, but at the same time, wondering why it took so long? Either way, problem solved :good::good:
Thanks!! This was driving me nuts!!!

Yeah, i've since uninstalled it. My heart rate monitor no longer activates itself.
I guess they are aware of the issue and that's why you can't get it from the Play Store right now. Hoping they fix it soon. I know S.Health has the same functionality....but for some reason I just preferred the Google Fit over the S Health app....

I made my first Android Pay transaction today. I had phone locked at first and tried about 6-7 times to scan. It only worked when I unlocked the phone. Who knows...
Hello, I had the dead phone problem recently, so they repaired my phone, but now the gps is not working, at all, no matter in what conditions, it used to lock in like 4 seconds, now its not locking at all. Tried many many things, nothing worked, i think maybe the gps cable/antenna is not connected properly, but i couldn't find in google where is the antenna itself, so if anyone here knows/can help me in any other way, that would be great, thanks in advance.
Anyone? Pls?

Edit: i played with the app a bit and got it to work, but it still not as it used to be, it takes really long for the gps to lock, and it loses connection sometimes, before I repaired my phone the gps was amazing, always locked within seconds and always worked, what else can I try to do? Anyhow, thanks a lot.
Does either sounds like antenna or issue in the chip which is in the mb they replaced.

Try using app called phone doctor plus download from playstore run their gps test if it shows error u may need to reflash the rom that u r on again using LGUP or LG FLASH TOOL 2014...rerun the test again if error again then its a hardware issue

Its not very good because it just looks for my location like anyother gps app, and asks me if thats the right location, butnot really testing anything.
I know like gps test when and if it gets a lock it tells you each and how many sa5s your picking up as well as signal. I average 17 sats and ill have to check average sig. As of rite now we need to determine if its a reception issue or a hardware if im not mistaken gps radio reciever what ever u wanna call it isnt it integrated into the msm qualcom prossesors too. Along with cell radio wifi and fm radio
---------- Post added at 12:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:46 PM ----------
So i guess it could be a issue on the mb. I have rarely saw it. Heck a fresh restore o
Tot or kdz might even fix it. New g2 sometime back i got for replacmwnt the camera would not connect. Then fc. I got playing with it and soft bricked restored tot and bam it worked great.
---------- Post added at 12:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:49 PM ----------
Also i have been inside this phone now a few times. And there are some snap on antenna clips inside. They could be for gps. You might take the back frame off and check

I Know it's been a while since the last post, but i'm facing the same issue now. My phone was repaired one year ago. I've never really used the GPS since.
I've tried it a month ago, after a lots of tests, with some apps like GPS Status&Toolbox, I can see the satellites around me (so I guess my "gsp chip" is not down), but there is no way to connect them.
I've ordered a set of small "special" screwdrivers to open the phone and check all the connections.
Does someone think it could be that ?
msacco4 : Do you have some advice for me ?

Well I don't know if its still relevant :s but in my case I just had to replace the motherboard, again...I don't know if its the same solution for you, but if nothing works, that just might be the solution..I just bought a new xiaomi redmi note 4 recently and replaced this awful lg g4. The amount of problems I've had with this **** is just uncountable.
Make sure that before you do that(if you still need), back up everything, becuase replacing the motherboard wipes the phone.

For what it's worth, my first Note7 did exactly what you are describing. Once I swapped to the loaner Note5, hotspot started working again.

Strange, I might try and factory reset it and see if that helps.
Factory reset didn't fix it. I've noticed that when I turn Wi-Fi off it toggles on and off indefinitely. Anybody else experiencing this problem?

I'm having the same problem, one day it worked then stopped working.
Heres what I have found out:
I have factory reset a few times, and it will start working again for a bit until I start updating and installing apps. (try factory reset again)
Its not a third party app since safe mode is still affected.
I'm trying to narrow down what is causing it. I will update when I figure it out.

UPDATE: the problem is google play services. you need to uninstall/deactivate the current update. to do so follow instructions here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/play/xLilOUkyqSE
---------- Post added at 07:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:46 AM ----------
well it seems that after you disable google play services you cannot use..well..google play. so it needs to be re enabled. I'm working on a fix to install an older one which will let google play work and not affect mobile hotspot, until a new stable update is out
thanks for the heads up
Hello community,
has anybody seen and tested already update 52.1.A.3.49 for XZ2 compact? I found that version on https://xpericheck.com/device/H8324 but I don't know where and how to download (I cannot register or login to that homepage)......
Update: I've just saw that is also available in Flashtool/Xperifirm. So I can download, but how to install via flashtool (open bootloader)?
Greetings Odiad
I received it today. Haven't noticed anything significant yet, so probably just security updates
still no gesture navigation.

Thanks it means a lot to me, well I can tell you a way to test if the issue is gone or not, you would have to record several voice notes until in the middle of one the volume goes down and be aware that in the next voice note the problem could not appear, as it just happens randomly.
The voice note issue was already fixed in the last Update, at least for me.
On this version I haven't noticed any issues yet. The only problem I had was, that I couldn't send any WhatsApp messages yesterday, but this Update fixed it. Maybe, a restart would have fixed it too, but don't know

Yesterday WhatsApp had a failure in a lot of countries, so it was not the phone's fault.
After one day use I can say almost all, including battery life, is okay.
Regarding Bluetooth issue I was able to send a file from my XZ2C to another Android mobile, but I was not able to connect/pair to other phone. After one or two seconds the connection was off. So this failure is not fixed.
is the touch issue still there
the notification bar pulls down itself

Unfortunately it happened again. Even sometimes the phone slows down suddenly and after a couple of seconds it works properly again. I think that is the reason why the audios are cut. It also happened to me when I was archiving chats, when I selected them the notification bar suddenly appeared.

Yeah sadly the touch issue with the notification bar is still happening, what I do when I experience that is just block and unblock the phone and that fixes the problem for some hours, this issues happens to me one ot twice a day, I updated to Android 10 and then made a downgrade to Android 9 but my phone was never the same again

I've been experiencing such slow downs as well even since I bought my cellphone, even the first month of use, it restarted itself after getting frozen for some seconds while I was using whatsapp and then did the same 3 or 4 times during this year. Btw just block and unblock the phone and the touch issue will disappear for some hours (it worked for me)

I got this update yesterday. Everything seems to be going fine and the fingerprint scanner seems more responsive with the screen off.
However I'm noticing an odd 'app' sometimes open in the app switcher 'x Google enrollment ' . I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the update but this is the first I'm noticing it. Any idea what it is or does. If I tap it nothing happens. And after clearing it shows up randomly few hours later.
