Hello,
I am currently trying to reset my HTC One X from Cyanogenmod 10.1 to the Stock ROM. I have HBOOT 1.39.0000, the Bootloader is relocked and its unbranded with a cid 102.
I am using Windows 8.
I already tried the following RUU versions:
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed
and
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed
But i always get the Error 140, which tells me that something is wrong with my bootloader version.
What am i doing wrong?
Thank you.
Whats the outcome of
Fastboot getvar verion-main
Does it match the ruu number ? And did you relock the bootloader before running the ruu with admin rights ?
it says: version main: 3.18.401.1
And yes i relocked the bootloader before starting the RUU
I have the same issue:
cid: HTC__032
version-main : 3.20.401.3
cannot go back to stock due to version beeing to high. Is there any other way?

When the command window says OKEY
Ok so I now restored the Stock ROM with the Nandroid Backup and everything seems to work, except the touchscreen XD

Did you wipe everything?
1. fastboot flash boot boot.img (The one from nandroid backup)
2. fastboot erase cache
3. Go to recovery and flash this : http://d-h.st/kG0
4. Now restore nandroid backup
5. Wipe cache/dalvc (Just in case)
6. Reboot.
for updates you need also the stock recovery

There is no JB 3.20.x.x RUU for now, only some of 3.14.x.x JB but because of S-ON you can not flash lower that phone have, (and i assume that you did not make your own backup before flashing custom rom because if you did you only need to make restore from custom recovery and flash corresponding boot.img from backup) so your only solution is to use nandroid backup for your CID pick nandroid 3.20.401.3 but if there is no matching try nearest lower number!
Pay attention to use nandroid backup for CWM or TWRP - i do not know which custom recovery you have, and how to use nandroid backup - look at mine signature link

Ah you are lucky then, 3.14.401.31 is your main version, not 3.20.401.X and you can revert to stock with RUU or nandroid.
1. RUU http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1...-r-radio-5120416229-release-302015-signedexe/
2. And for nandroid backup same that i told you before just download 3.14.401.31 versions not 3.20.401.X
For RUU - you need to relock bootloader before executing from windows, and this will also delete custom recovery!
I have same problem.. more or less.. but my versio-main is 3.14.401.600 ... can I put 3.14.401.31 ???

As far as i know at this moment you can not reverse to stock..no RUU or nandroid for this cid or main-version.. Only solution for you is that somebody with same Cid and main version rom gives you nandroid backup that is made with custom recovery.. I do not get it, why people dont make backups -this is main thing in all how to root, use custom roms or flash guides! Sorry and good luck!
second hand phone.. with already unlocked bootloader(1.28) and custom ROM (arhd 12.0) on it.... I always do a Nandroid Back up of my phones....

Ok, I tried with that and the OTA update won't install. Let me tell you the steps I took:
1) Wipe ROM (/data, /cache, /system)
2) Restore the backup you provided
3) Fastboot flash boot.img from the backup you provided
4) Fastboot flash recovery.img from the backup you provided
5) Fastboot oem lock
6) Booted the ROM and download the OTA
7) Tried to follow on screen steps, but it's stuck in fasboot and under "RELOCKED" status it sayis "Security warning!"
What I did wrong? What should I do? Thank you!

you don't need to lock it for a nandroid or OTA, only for RUU.
Unlock bootloader again, flash boot.img, restore backup. then flash STOCK recovery. The one in the backup will not be stock, AFAIK you can use the 3.14 stock recovery from here>>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140 its quite a way down the page after all the nandroids

I just wanted to post and say thanks for uploading those 3.20 files. I'd been trying to revert to stock to do the update to 4.18 and been hitting a brick wall for 5 hours using the 3.18 files that are knocking around.
To the OP it does work, I got it working first go by flashing the system image using philz touch and then fastboot flashing the boot image and recovery image (and running fastboot erase cache after each step).
Anyway, thanks again.
Hi,
I have an UK HOX which is running CM11. I am giving it my father and want to revert to stock beforehand. I don't have a nandroid backup & can't seem to find one which will work. Is this possible or will I be stuck on CM?
I'm currently on HBOOT 1.36 & radio 5.1204 (not sure if that's relevant). Please let me know if there's more info I can provide.

Hi just read the thread properly, I have confused you in my pm, Thant is right, your on hboot 1.36 so you need my nand not glenbrownies. This is the stock nand from before the jb update which has the hboot version 1.1? You will need to update in settings about phone check for updates and you'll then have sense 5 installed.
You can install a nand which has a lower hboot version but not a nand that has a higher hboot version.

Can I just get one last noob question out the way - in the nandroid backup folder, are they both the stock boot.img and recovery.img I need to flash after restoring? Or do I need to find a separate stock boot & recovery img?
I've successfully reverted back to stock. Only issue I have now is that the official OTA update won't install. It downloads and boots into the stock recovery, then about a third of the way up the progress bar the process stops and the recovery icon changes to the red triangle with the exclamation mark in it.
I've also tried it again after doping a factory reset with no luck. Any experience with this happening?

Just flashed the recovery from the firmware.zip file & the OTA update fails at same stage.
My bootloader is unlocked, should it be relocked for this to work?
Edit: Relocked bootloader & tried with the same result. I noticed the hboot img file in the 'firmware' zip is a higher version than mine (1.36) ... Would it be worth flashing this then trying again?

I've figured out the problem! (Y)
1. Installed Twrp Recovery
2.Mounted SD Card
3.Placed Cyanogen 9 ICS ROM in SDcard
4.Installed Cyanogen from recovey
Now how I can update my Hboot version from 1.12 to 1.29 or above? As I'm not able to find Jellybean RUU for my CID (Bstar301 SPAIN).
