[Q] System App compatability between carriers

I just switched to a Verizon LG G3 (VS985) from a Verizon Galaxy S4 and noticed one thing that's really bugging me. With my old S4, I could set a notification (SMS) sound on a per contact and per group basis. The Verizon variant of the LG G3 does NOT have this functionality. However, the AT&T variant of the G3 (D850) does have this functionality.
On my G3, I have OTA updated to Lollipop and then rooted the phone.
My question is this. Can I copy the contacts apk from an AT&T G3 to my VZW G3 and get the per contact notifications back?

Can I use a SEA variant on T-Mobile with WiFi calling?

I purchased an unlocked LG G4. While I was hoping for European, I got SEA instead. I've got it rooted.
We're thinking of switching from AT&T to T-Mobile. Since they do support the LG G4 WiFi calling on T-Mobile, can I enable it somehow? I got a T-Mobile SIM (active) and it doesn't show up in any of the menus.
Thoughts or help?
It's probably rom-specific and i doubt you can flash t-mobile kdz to your device. Probably out of luck

Thinkg about picking up a used LG G3

Hi,
I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S4 i545 (Verizon) that has the locked bootloader, and therefore has limited ROMs available. I am considering picking up a used LG G3 and would like to know if there are any "gotchas" to be aware of? On the Verizon G3 forum it appears root & recovery are doable via some back-flips. I'm curious if the AT&T and T-Mobile variants have any quirks to rooting, etc... I use my Verizon S4 with AT&T so I can go with either of the Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile variants of the G3.
Appreciate your feedback!

Verizon LG G8 on T-Mobile

Hi,
I'm new to the forum. Wanted to know if I can use LG G8 from Verizon on T-Mobile? I have put my sim into the phone and it does connect to network but it seems like the connection is not that stable. Can I install TMobile G8 build on this phone? Will that improve the connection quality??
