The information you've provided here is pretty much basic, non can identify which RUU you're looking for, unless you share it by which carrier it has been locked or from which country you've bought. But non the less i've provided below link for all shipped rom for Desire HD. Choose it one, which suites you.
link: http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Ace
I agree with dr.patron99.We need more information to tell you about what RUU you could install in your device.
You can try to find an RUU from the link dr.patron99 gave you or from here.
You can give us the required informations about your device. When you are in fastboot use this command:
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Copy-Paste everything it prints here (except your IMEI and serialno).
An other idea is to S-OFF your device and then you with be able to SuperCID it and install any RUU you like.
I have answer before how to S-OFF a Desire HD here.
You can also check here how to upgrade your hboot if you like.

Can you tell me where to write when in fastboot.
I pressed down button and the power button.
Then pressed power button when on Fastboot.
Now I am not to find any place where to write the above mentioned command.

You have to press (Power) + (Vol-) button untill you get into bootloader.
When you are in bootloader (hboot) and you have your phone connected with USB you should be able to see a fastboot USB.
Then you should give the fastboot command you need from a command prompt (if you are using windows) or a terminal (if you are using a linux OS).You have to be in the right folder (where the fastboot.exe is / or just fastboot if you are using linux).

According to your CID you have to install an Asian RUU.
I tried to find an RUU according to your version-main number but I found only an RUU with a prerooted rom.You can make a check here.
You can also check here. (I found RUU_Ace_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.32.707.1_Radio_12.28a.60.140e_26.03.02.08_M_release_153610_signed.exe)
For me the best option would be to S-OFF and SuperCID your device so you can install any RUU on it.

Hi,
i want to root my HTC Desire HD. In fastboot i input the identifier token command and i get the following response:
fastboot oem get_identifier_token

Try again.

Maybe try using correct fastboot commands. I don't think you're supposed to use underscores. Lol

You have to upgrade your bootloader (hboot) to be able to get the identifier token to unlock it. check here how to upgrade your bootloader..You should also delete your imei and serialno from your post.

Hey,
later i had found out that my HBOOT version 0027 was not compatible for an unlocked bootloader. For that to happen i updated to 0029 and then was able to unlock it via HTCDEV method. Then i flashed a custom ROM and now my DHD is rolling on CM11. Works great, stable, battery life has improved, overclocking, more available RAM and various other good things that happened from migrating to the cyanogenmod. Do check it out at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56306815#post56306815
Really, thanks alot for the support and consideration.
Best regards! :highfive:

Hey, how did you get to that state? ADB won't work in hboot, but you can use fastboot commands. Plug the phone in hboot and make sure that it reads fastboot usb in red in the phone (if it reads HBOOT USB PLUG, just press power). Then, open a cmd and type:
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot getvar all
The first command will show your serial number if the device is detected, the second will prompt CIDnum, serial, IMEI and some other stuff. Paste the getvar all outcome in here and i will help you to find a RUU for your device. PLEASE DELETE THE IMEI from the list, it is not necessary and it might be dangerous.

then better read in general section some guide, you need fastboot and adb on your computer. You don't know how to go in bootloader and you want to flash rom. Please be more specific. Not like I am using ViperX say I take phone with installed ViperX. It is not so ease to restore phone and in case you don't know how to use fastboot!
And now my answare download fastboot and adb go in bootloader and run the command. To go in bootloader tutn off your phone then press volume down + power button until you are in bootloader.

Hello everyone,
i am having a problem with my M8. I have installed CyanogenMod 12 to my phone and i want to go back to official 5.0.2 ..
The problem is that I have no wifi signal with many roms i tried to install. So i want to go back to official.
Thanx in advance ..
You have old hboot and firmware version.
All the newer Sense based ROM require hboot no less than 3.19.0000
What's your fastboot getvar all - post here minus serial no. & imei no.
This will help to go back to official and maybe lollipop already available for your device region.
and it's 5.0.1 not 5.0.2

Installed HTC driver and Htc Sync my still says no device found ..
Win 8.1
Your drivers are still not installed. Go into Device Manager and get them installed and it'll work
You also need to "allow USB debugging" in developers options on the phone. You can check whether your phone is actually connected by typing "fastboot devices".
No you don't as ADB is for when Android is running, fastboot is when in the bootloader

Your wifi isn't working because you have outdated firmware. 3.16 hboot = 4.4.2 firmware. You need to update it.

No need for a tutorial., HTC__203 is your CID. That's WWE (France). Download this RUU onto your PC, and run it. It's an .exe file, so all you have to do is download it, double click it, and follow the prompts (just like installing software on your PC).
Put your phone into fastboot before you run the download, as sometimes there are problems flashing when you haven't already booted into it (from what I've heard).
Also, back up anything that is important to you, as this will wipe your phone.
error 155 when it started to updating . i was in fastboot ..

Hi
I have the International HOX. It is running HBoot 1.31.
Do i need to upgrade HBoot to enable flashing new custom ROMS, such as Lollipop? I have lots of trouble installing new ROMs 4.4 or later
If so how do I update the HBoot? I have see tutorials for installing custom ROMs and they all seem to show HBoot of 1.36 of later.
Thanks in advance
Geoff
Upgrate hboot.
1. Start phone in fastboot Usb mode and execute in cmd command line >
Code:
fastboot oem lock
2. Then reboot
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
3. Flash the update
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
. Where firmware.zip is a higher hboot
4.
Code:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
. where unlock_code bin is from unlocking procedure.
Thanks but now i have more questions
1. Do i need to upgrade HBOOT to something later than 1.31 to install Lollipop ROMs? That is my original question
2. If i do need to upgrade, the there do i get the files you mentioned in your post? (eg firmware.zip)
Thanks

bad really bad read post №86 but you must to change the android-info.txt and return to stock I sugest you to download RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe and edit android-info.txt to 3.14.401.620
The other way is to flash latest hboot directly with fastboot and then install lolipop with the procedure from post #2 I think this will be the ease way. Attached file must be your firmware.zip
Thanks for the info
Why is it "bad really bad"?

Hi
To upgrade HBOOIT i ran did the following
fastboot oem lock
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip.
I used the firmware zip you posted in post #10
I kept getting the following error
sending 'zip' (12605 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.510s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) adopting the signature contained in this image...
(bootloader) signature checking...
(bootloader) checking model ID...
(bootloader) checking custom ID...
FAILED (remote: 42 custom id check fail)
finished. total time: 2.708s
Any help please?
Thanks
i always receive the error 170: usb connection error while restoring the m8 with ruu, i tried in fastboot mode as well as while the device booted.
What should i do?
What is your current firmware number (OS number displayed on bootloader screen)? Post fastboot getvar all, if you know how (delete IMEI and serial number before posting). What RUU version number are you trying to run?
Your bootloader is relocked?
S-on or s-off?
Try a different USB port, the RUUs don't play well with USB 3.0, which many PC's have nowadays.

If s-on, then yes you need to relock the bootloader to RUU.
You can relock the bootloader with the command: fastboot oem lock
But this isn't necessary if you have s-off, which is why I asked if you were s-on or s-off. Its hard to help properly, if you only provide a fraction of the information requested.

As I already posted, relocking bootloader was not necessary to run RUU, if s-off. It doesn't hurt anything (running RUU) to do so, but doesn't help anything, either. If you want to make any mods (custom recovery, root, custom ROMs) you'll need to unlock the bootloader again.

I asked a number of question in Post #2 above, only a portion of which you answered (even after being asked again to provide all the requested info):
