C'mon guys
PLEEEEASE dont tell me i have to go back to Vito Chat
Are you running the stock rom or a custom one?
This will help you out. Install (If not already installed with a custom Rom) and there will be an option to enable SMS Wake Up.
Here
Same thing doublen1 said, Ill look at the registry settings in case you dont want to install a custom ROM
I have a rooted Evo running Cyanogen 7. I also have Rom Manager installed. I would like to use The stock sprint VVM. I put the voicemail.zip that I obtained from one of the forums onto my sd card and attempted to flash in recovery and i got an error message stating that it aborted. So then I tried to flash via Rom Manager and I dont have the voicemail icon on my phone. Can someone help me please. I hope I posted this in the correct forum. Thanks
Voicemail.zip? Are you trying to flash it from recovery? Because what you need is the vvm.apk
I would post it for you but I'm not home....but I am sure you can find it via search....let me know if you need more help....
Thank you I will look for that file and get back with you. I really appreciate the response.
ok I got the VVM installed on my phone now. The problem I have now is that it is saying that I have a voicemail waiting but it cant be downloaded. Also I am getting that stupid 9016 text message as well.
The vm that can't be downloaded can be retrieved by dialing 1 from your dialer....you also want to go into call settings and change your vm # from *86 to your actual number....
As far as 9016, that is built into aosp ....you could blacklist that number with handcent, if you use it, however, I have noticed that handcent sometimes takes it upon itself to blacklist numbers you didn't choose.....so you may want to go into privacy and tap on show blacklist if you notice you aren't getting messages on occasion
So I am using the latest build of MikFroyo (4.5) and I am using the stock kernel that comes with it (stock htc kernel I believe). Well, I have had people call my phone and they say when it should go to voicemail it says that the "number is out of service." I have gone through my settings to make sure my phone number was right and it was. Then I tried using Google Voice and that didn't work either..apparently my area code for my phone number was not supported. I need help from someone quick, I use my voicemail for work. I know I am somewhat of a noob but I reallly need some help. Thanks in advance.
Do you have sprints visual voice mail.apk installed? I'm assuming it came with the rom. I would try to delete it and manually install the apk floating around here. Otherwise try to do a complete wipe and flash another rom.
I have done all of that. I even did the formatall.zip and then flashed MIUI and went back
Did you find a solution? I am having the same issue. It was saying that my number was disconnected. Now the person calling my phone hears my phone ringing, but my actual phone does not ring. I am having issues with my Sprint number as well as the one designated by Google.
Go to google voice. Like the website and call the number to deactivate your google voice accoujt
I had this same problem. Not sure how I fixed it, but after a bunch of trying stuff I'm now using google voice on cm7 nightlys.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
strange issue for a sense rom? but try this..
2 questions: what recovery are you using? and did you nanroid backup the rom that the voicemail was working on? if so do a nanroid restore back to it and use titanium backup and back up the voicemail service apk, then do your wipes reflash mik4.5 redownload titanium backup from market go into manage all applications delete data and info for voicemail services then do a restore from titanium backup should work i use this method when i flash nonsense roms. hope this helps
As stated above, can anyone point me to a modified phone.apk for the Evo 4G that will give native voicemail notifications on a deodexed 4.54.651.1 ROM?
Please don't turn this into a "just use Google Voice" debate. I do not want to use Google Voice. I am on Boost Mobile so visual voicemail doesn't work anyway and always gets deleted by me. Also I am tired of running the Voicemail Notifier app when I know there can be a native solution.
If no one has an already modified APK can someone tell me what to modify in a phone.apk that I extract from a ROM? This would be ideal so I can "fix" any ROM I choose to run.
So does anybody know which current ROM's based off of 4.54.651.1 have native voicemail notifications?
If you haven't found it yet here's a solution, try fresh rom 4.1 or 4.3.3 the native notification works on both roms, then use root explorer, to copy and paste the system phone apk to your add card, then go ahead and flash your ROM of choice, then once you get that ROM up and running reinstall root explorer mount as rw and paste the working phone apk into system apps
Hello All,
I recently attempted to flash JediMindTrickJB6 ( and got stuck on the "Jedi" load page with about 98% blue bar)....anyway
I then just wiped and restored my "working Jedi Jelly V6 and now when someone calls I dont see Contact Pics or Numbers or anything...
PLEASE HELP!!!!
If it means anything, I was also playing with Xsposed Framework Add Ons and tried the full screen Contact thing but have since deleted it. Do I need to do any further deleting or complete removal of Framework to get this back?
Thank you all!!!!!!
