[Q] Possibly bricked phone and need any form of help - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have a Note 2 i317 and I was using Cyanogen mod, but that doesn't mater, because I am now stuck with default modem, recovery, and kernel. I need to find a way to get the stock ROM or any ROM for that matter on the phone with out USB debug.
This means
I can't use ODIN or KIES or ADB pretty much my only options are using a microSD card to some how push an update without using ADB, so does anyone have an idea on how I could do this? Or if it's even possible

If you put the phone into download mode you should be able to flash a stock rom that way and it should work

If the phone is in download mode you don't need ADB . So put your phone in download mode start odin or check device manager (windows) if it is showing connected then flash the firmware for your device i would recommend doing a factory reset through stock recovery after it is finished

[Q] A few rooting questions.

I am new to all this so just wanted to ask a few things.
I just installed TWRP and rooted with this tutorial - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2525630
Everything went well.
If i flash the stock firmware back on the device does that also remove the root and the TWRP recovery and replace it with the stock recovery?
Also, if i had to return it for service is there a way of making sure samsung don't detect it has been rooted?

Power down your device and put it into download mode. To do this, press and hold the Home + Volume Down + Power buttons simultaneously for 3 to 5 seconds until you see the warning screen. Check tha binary cound number. If it is 0 you are Ok. If its not 0 you lose your guarantee.

I'm not 100% sure, but on this device there have no flash counter.
The complete way to theck that all original is to go to settings and press software update , its all fine ( original ) than come info, there update avaible or your Tab is modified.
quick question
so does binary refer to recovery ? [custom/official]
if so can a custom recovery be hacked to mask itself as official
like adding a false checksum or the right magic in a hex editor ?
The first versions of the T210 do have a flash counter. Mine shows over 300 flashes (lots of recovery testing) when I'm in Download mode. They apparently changed the bootloader on the newer devices and it no longer shows flash count in Download mode, but they may have just hidden it.

[Q] SGH-I317 - Cannot Get To Recovery Mode

I cannot get my Note 2 into recovery mode. I am able to get to download mode and have tried installing a few different ROMS through Odin. The install results in a "Pass" but the phone does not make it past the Samsung boot screen. I have tried a few of the suggestions on different postings in the forums but haven't had success. I am somewhat new to the rooting community and am in need of assistance with this, I am getting nowhere on my own. Thanks in advance for any assistance you all can offer.
You didn't mention if you ever flashed a custom recovery.

Sorry for the lack of details. I am sure I made a rookie mistake but heres the process that got me to where I am now:
I was rooted on 4.3 (used CF Autoroot). I was attempting to upgrade to 4.4.2 using EZKat's zip file, installing it from an external sd card throuh recovery mode. I did get that to take, but was having issues with the Samsung keyboard crashing (I now know there is a second file that fixes this, but got that info too late). So thinking I had made a mistake at that point I attempted to revert to the stock 4.1.2 rom, which also took. However, I then got a notification for an OTA update, and I went for it (probably a bad choice?).
The OTA update completed but on the reboot it started hanging at the Samsung logo. And that is where I am stuck now. I can get to download mode and Odin still lets me flash roms and gives me a "Pass" but the phone never gets past the boot screen freeze and I cannot enter recovery mode to factory reset or clear cache.
Thanks for your replies, I appreciate any assistance you have to offer.

Just use cf auto root and make sure you get the right recovery and put it in the pda or ap slot in odin or you can flash a stock custom rom that's rooted already like the one I'm on

Note 2 I sent out of state is also stuck. I had downgraded to 4.1.1 to root it and left it there. It did work for a little bit, but not now. Will just flashing the bootloader file do the trick or do we have to flash the ROM too?
If it won't boot on 4.1.1 you might have to go up to 4.3 or 4.4.2 to make the phone work again I tried to go back to 4.1.1 and I couldn't get it to boot but I didn't try flashing the bootloader but it won't hurt anything if it don't work

Recovering my Galaxy Tab S

Hello developers and users,
I wanted to unroot my tablet but I accidentally deleted the OS but am still in the TWRP recovery mode. I wanted to try using a different root on the tablet but didn't know how. Is there a way that I can still flash the stock ROM into this device despite me deleting the OS?
I have a T-800.
Just flash the backup you made with twrp or boot to Download mode from twrp then flash the stock firmware.
Did you try to wipe in twrp and flash stock with Odin?

Help With Root and Going Back To Stock Firmware Problems N910p

Hey guys im kinda new here and english isnt my native language so mind the punctuation and bad english
so here goes
I have a Note 4 910p which was working fine until i decided to root it with the cf-root method for note 4 available on XDA . everything went fine but i needed root to install few ported stuff from other brands. I wanted to install a ported SONY XPERIA CAMERA , for that i needed a recovery i installed a CWM recovery , i installed the camera and after flashing it and finishing of the work , in the end it asked me if i wanted to root. i didnt know what to do i click okay. so it rooted after that my cell booted and the touch calibration was off . i fixed that by *#2663# code .
the main problem im facing is that after the whole process i cannot install any apks, like i can click the install button but as soon as it starts installing i get an error "App not installed . Package may be corrupted" i thought it was with just one apk file. i tried multiple apks on my cell and other cells. its working on other cells but not on mine. secondly i cannot seem to activate the Private Mode no matter how much i try. i have tried factory resetting it from the OS. ive tried factory reseting it from the CWM recovery. everytime i factory reset the calibration goes whack.
I downloaded 2 different STOCK FIRMWARD Tar files but every time i try installing them , its starts installing and ends with
AUTH Fail in Odin
Please help me.
PS : The Camera Apps From XPERIA package stay no matter how many times i factory reset please help
if it helps i cant post images but i can give u the spec and other details of my cell if it can help u people in understanding my problem

Are you pulling battery out and waiting 20 sec before you boot to download mode?

I see you have cwm try flashing twrp
---------- Post added at 11:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:36 PM ----------
You can find a zip for twrp so you don't have to use odin
---------- Post added at 11:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:37 PM ----------
If you just want 100%stock you will need odin so keep trying deferent version of odin, reboot pc and start fresh also boot into download after you pull the battery
Because if you want to use Kies you will need stock recovery even for ota's you need stock recovery so best bet is to get odin to work properly
thank u guys for ur quick response. i couldnt find the proper solution for the APK and Private Mode problem but i did manage to find the solution for going back to stock
What i was doing wrong was that i had the OTA update upto 6.01 and i was trying to flash a 5.0 firmware tar . i was researching where i came across that after the 5.01 update u cant downgrade to older one thats y i was facing the

Error while using ODIN thank u all for ur help and suggestions

Sigh.
Downgrade to 5.1.1 BPA using the full firmware using ODIN, then unlock your bootloader using any one of about six threads on this page.
There's only one way to unlock the bootloader and root. It's just been explained in a gadzillion different ways.

Galaxy Note 4 Recovery Mode
Power Down Your Galaxy Note 4.
Press and Hold the Power Button, Home Button and Volume Up Button at the Same Time.
Continue Holding These Buttons Until You See Some Blue Text at the Top.
When You See the “Recovery Booting….” ...
Wait Until it Boots into the Recovery Mode.
Use volume to scroll power to select. I clear cache first probably redundant, then restore

Yup got it to factory reset and works fine now. Thank you. In the process of unlocking the bootlock
Hardest part is keeping temp root long enough to type/paste the ADB commands needed to change CID and then to unlock Bootloader.
Be prepared for a frustrating night with kingoroot, PC version works best.

Can you get into download mode (volume down, power, home key three finger salute)? Flash this firmware (thanks @hsbadr!) using ODIN, make sure that auto reboot is unchecked, and when it's done three finger salute into recovery and do a factory reset before you boot.
Then start the process from scratch.
