[Q] coming from samsung note one question

hi guys im planning on swapping my samsung galaxy not with someone for the htc one x my main question is are they any problems like bricking /memory block currupt that i mat not notic before swap
As you might know they is problems with the galaxy note with bricking ect

i think they aren't... it's possible to brick, but as i know, everything is possible to repair without problems...maybe apx mode stuck for someone, but it's more unique that rare case, so i think you'll not have any problem, just pay attention when you do something with fastboot

Hi thanks for reply I defo swapping tomorrow just wondering is they any internal corrupt with memory or anything like that that I will be blind to see only ask cause they was problems like that with the galaxy note and I don't want to swap and latter find any problems like that

[Q] Changing region and language of HTC one x

Hello Guys,
I am a newbie here & would appreciate your help in following matter.
I bought a HTC One X from Bangkok and i m using it in India now.I am facing following issues.
1. I suspect that the phone that i bought was AT &T locked phone earlier and i might have been cheated by the seller in this regard. My question is how do i confirm whether this is an AT&T unlocked Phone?
2. The language of applications installed on the Phone is chinese and i cant seem to get rid of the language even after changing the language from settings page. How do i get it to be in English completely?
3. Indian carrier SIM apart from CELLONE does not detect or register on any network here. and the SIM slot is a normal one not a micro SIM Slot. Does this Phone require any special kind of SIM card?
4. Even Google Play is not there. whenever i try to download anything a page in chinese opens up. And i do not know chinese.
4. Will rooting of my phone help in any of these regard? I even dont know whether this Phone was a rooted one.
Please Help somebody....

Well i am sure that its not a chinese knock off atleast.. but this may be AT&T unlocked, that i am confused about...

Looks like it could be a really old build of HK firmware, but the kernel date doesn't make sense.
Try flashing the latest HK RUU (1.29.708.15) http://www.filefactory.com/f/7cc7b2fbdd03c031/
I'll leave it to you to find a username and password that works, but it's been posted in this forum more than once.

Strange, Also you mentioned that the phone takes a full sized sim not micro sim. Check the HOX's spec sheet and you will find that they were manufactured with micro sim slot only.

Maybe it IS a knock off OR someone modded the build.prop and sold you a Desire X?

The number of speaker holes are less that the genuine one x. I think you have been fooled. The Hboot that you have is different. Check the attached pic.

Well this just gets stranger and stranger.

yeah, it definitely seems that i have been fooled now. Any ways, is there any way to know the device hardware configuration, so that i may be able to flash it to atleast use it here in India.
Is there any ROM compatible to any handset?? If so, Then how do i go with it?

I was trying to be sensitive in my previous posts, and felt for you. Best you leave the rom as is, chances are if you try flashing you could end up with a brick.

sorry to bring this post back to life.. but need help.
my cousin from europe gave me his old HTC One X for my parents to use. but they need that to be in traditional Chinese language system.
can someone help me? I have posted up the SW and kernal version for your reference.

12 pin molex to connect jtag to phone

Hey guys sorry to ask this here as well (already asked in the t999 forum) but I know the internals for the i747 and t999 are almost identical.
I know that you can buy a 12 pin molex but im curious if anyone has any experience or any idea what part number for the molex. I know I can get them from mouser / digikey (keep in mind I have not opened the phone yet) but I thought I might ask anyone who has more experience at this than me.

[Q] How to flash empty logic board?

Hi to everyone!
Well first at all sorry for my lame english, I don't usually use this language for posting, and also I'm new posting things, generally I read all post but in this case I don't find anyone that could help me this time, and teres my case's explanation:
Well, a few weeks ago (a month or so...) I was repairing a SGNote II N7100, the main problem is that it was submerged on a pool by her owner for 30 min. and then (when the owner was aware that he weared it, but anyway) he hung out to dry, after a couple of days he tested it again and detected two main problems:
The SIM Card readere wasn't working out properly, won't detect any SIM Card putted on it,
When the Note goes through deep sleep it dies, doesn't wake up anymore, so you need to remove the battery and turn it on again.
So for the repairing I buy a brand new logic board hoping for it came with a working OS but It doesn't have one, after a wait of 3 weeks (and yes form asia, it's a pain their delivery services), came totally empty, and when I say empty it's that totally EMPTY, I just turn on the phone but nothing goes beyond of the boot screen, I can't go though the factory recovery, but actually I can go to Download mode, a little ray of hope keeps me fighting on, and using ODIN for keep on, the things tha I'm trying now are:
First: Find a working LATAM stock ROM, (Telcel, Movistar, Claro, or any company on LATAM)
Second: IDK if I must find phone, csc, and bootloader for flashing.
Third: I need to find a working PIT for the rom that could help me, the logic board have 16gb and also IDK if it's a defective sudden death chip.
So please, please!! could you community of XDA help me for repair this phone from zero?
I have the new logic board, and the dried out logic board, I think that the dried out could help me for EFS backup and load that backup on the new empty board.... so I'm yours and thanks for help me

Well this is the tmobile t889 forum of the note 2 so we probably won't be much help, but there is a n7100 forum as well. However here is a link to all the stock ROMs for the N7100. It should have what you need, but if not I'm sure they could help you in the thread there.

my simcard and memory card tray looks brocken and i need to replace it ,
i can't found it anywhere , here in my town there is not , and on the net also i can't find it
please can somebody help me to find it ,
by the way the phone is i9500 s4 clone , sim card holder looks like originale except the connector it's different.
