the root for lollipop is not yet released so you need to downgrade to kk and then install the rooted lollipop rom through your recovery.
you can find the rooted lollipop rom in xda and google is your friend mate.

it work for me at First method on my LG G3 Cat6 F460s Lolipop 5.0.1 20m last update u can try it hop work for u too i just rooted my LG

Hi guys. I have LG G3 D855 the 32GB model,with android version 5.0 lolipop- V20h-425-02. I cant find any way to root this version and im asking for help because i came from Galaxy devices and making root in galaxy is simple but in LG it's harder.There is any way to root this device?

Guys please help me..i was flashing marshmallow v30B stock rom on my LG g3 d855 32gb variant but it seems that it cannot receive any network..any solution?

Are you sure using stock kdz ? or stock zip

Yes my device is d855 version and i flashed a kdz file name with model d855

Try flashing once again , usually there is no problem on network , even on 4G.

many users have this problem on LG G3 D855, and I am one of them

Find LG Baseband 855 from Cloudyfa , flash it if now you are on TWRP.
