First thing I want to clear is that I dont have a Nexus 5, My gf has one and this is for her phone..
Recently I saw one N5 which had a screen protector(SP).. It had the words "Nexus 5" written on it which could only been seen when the screen was off (glowing wud be a similar term but it was more sort of the small freebies we used to get in cheetos/lays in the early 00's I hope you guys get me)
Also i'm 100% positive that it wasnt some kind of screensaver coz I cud make out the remaining part of the screen was off as opposed to be being black(like on voip calls)
Can you guys find me the SP? I am confused what exactly to search for and generic collection of N5 SP is huge, so posted it here..
thanks a lot in advance

What you saw was someone who had not yet removed the plastic layer that covers the screen when you first pull it out of its box. It's not a screen protector per say, and I don't think they sell any of them like that.
As someone who kept mine on for a bit I can let you know that you certainly do see it even when the screen is on, it's just less noticeable.
did it look like this?

Hey, I am running CM7 with the MUIU Camera app.
Owned the device for some time now so not as anal about it, took the lens protector cover off the back of the camera (on the removable part) and my lord. What a difference. Very sharp and clear. That plastic bit I took out just couldn't be cleaned after about a year, it was always mucky no matter what. I was getting peev'd at iPhone users saying how better their images were but that's not the case anymore.
Would recommend if you like your images.
Sorry I cant do like for like but hopefully you'll get the idea;

What do you think?
It has been discussed in the past. The problem is that cheap plastic lens cover that easily gets scratched and dirty. Some people simply remove it and others replace it with a sapphire glass. There is also an old thread around... Search!

Some boards are unusable these days, because when you do search you just get posts from wanna be mods bashing at people to search, making search results all but useless. I wasn't asking a retarded question, I was sharing my findings.
Thanks for your time.

where did you get a new back cover from?
I like this thread. I do get sick of the lack of clarity in photos sometimes, and yeah I've noticed that my plastic cover has been getting progressively worse over time, so I just did what you suggested, to take the back cover off, and I got a nice comparison (of your photos, actually!) and the differences are absolutely phenomenal. Might have to get a replacement back now .
Dan.
I think they are better but I have stock 2.1 camera app and it is good for me.

Hi folks,
I am searching for a hard suit case for my Xoom. Similar to this, but with correct measurements (the linked is too small). Perhaps somebody has got right hints?
It shall be slim, but with hard protection in front for the display (and a small handle like from the one on the linked picture).
get an otterbox
Uäääh. No, go away with this really ugly thing. I do not want a box, I want a case or shell or sleeve for transporting my Xoom. If I want an tablet with really ugly haptics I would have buy an Acer or an Asus...
believe me if you want to really protect your xoom and functionality as a stand you need otterbox, i had it since day one i bought the xoom and since then i didn't remove it, it keeps my xoom safe all the time and i am not afraid to leave it anywhere i want, i agree it doesn't look good but i was thinking of printing off some nice big sticker like the ones used with laptops and use it on the cover
Some points for egypt: .....
Believe me, I do not need such an ugly thing. I do not need protection against my hands, I need transport-protection. And: I do not want such an ugly thing.
I recommend you give a look to this thread

Ok, thank you for answering. I see, wrong title caused by my bad english:
I do not want a case.
I want a bag.
Just thought that I made this visible with the example-link in my first post.

I have 3 Otterbox cases; EVO 4G, EVO 3D, and Zoom. they have great customer service.

If you look at the site there is a bag too, but not a hard bag, a soft one with handles. I hear your frustration, but when people try to help you, you should not sound so peeved.
Wasn't sure exactly where to put this, so mods feel free to move this thread if necessary.
I recently saw this thread with custom laser engraved battery covers:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474014
I also was aware of the limited edition google employee battery cover. I figured since they are either ridiculously priced/nowhere to be found, that I would just remake the template so that people could get it done if they wanted too. A few of the icons had to be custom made because I could not find them, but everything is very close. Revisions can always be made later (or by you) if you choose.
I'm sure this template could be used for a number of things, so I figured themes & apps was the most appropriate place to post it. I left the edges to the side icons on also, so if you plan on using this for the engraving, make sure you take care of them.

Awesome.
Any ideas where to get it etched?
I'm not sure I'd want this particular battery cover, but does anyone know of a way of getting other battery covers for the LTE Galaxy Nexus? Custom etching would be nice, but mainly I'd be happy with anything that doesn't have the damn Verizon logo.

Hey guys,
So we all know that the Galaxy Wonder here is a low range model with other flagship smartphone looking down at this device in terms of hardware.
We also know that finding accessories for this is almost impossible now with shops flooding cases etc for the Galaxy S5 and 5/5S :banghead:
So what I did was take a marker and just "draw" (or design for a better word) on the backcover of my Galaxy Wonder. I got it in white colour so I'm lucky enough. You can pretty much design anything you want if you are confident enough to "vandalise" your phome but its gonna turn out gorgeous in many ways. Here's mine!

If you did drew or design something, take picture and post it here. I recommend you having a brief idea on what you are gonna draw. Like maybe its batman, so google search it and kindof, trace the picture or smth like that I wanna see it

Hi everybody,
There seems to be a protective film on the display of my brand new Tab S 10.5. It is hard to see, just a bit around the home button and you can feel it in the corners. It doesn't come off easily. Should I keep trying to remove it or is it supposed to stay on?
Thanks for your help!

If its hard to remove I wouldn't touch it.
A picture would help
Yes please post a picture, I want to know. Because Santa bought my one and it's seems to have screen protection?
New Tab S LTE here,NO screenprotector on it
Here is a picture. As I wrote before, it is hard to see. The flash from the camera makes it more obvious though.
I assume reubenskelly1992 is probably right... I will leave it alone for now. Maybe I'll ask Samsung about it.
ludoke, you can't see or feel anything around the button?

Nope, nothing to see or feel around the home button, deffinetly no screenprotector on my device.
On my Galaxy S5 just the same
Odd I dont have that. I cant remeber if there was plastic when I first got it. There was only plastic around the edges and camera. I dont remeber any on tthe screen though.
That is odd. Never seen that. I know mine didn't come like that. I do have the titanium bronze one though so maybe it's different? I don't get why it would be however.. Does definitely look like there's something there.
no screen protection on tab s.. only tab 4, pro etc, on protection there are pictures it is not transparent..
