Welcome to WeegeeNumbuh1's theming thread!
(this is my first thread on XDA, so be gentle :cyclops: )
Anyway, I'm here to present a few things I've been using on my phone that I haven't shared up until now.
The following items I've been using since my time with the Sensation, but were updated for the One.
PLEASE NOTE THAT I ORIGNIALLY MADE THESE FOR MYSELF BUT I DECIDED TO SHARE THEM.
WITH THAT BEING SAID, I WILL NOT ACCEPT REQUESTS OR CHANGES YOU MAY SUGGEST IN THIS THREAD.
If you don't like what you see, but want to make edits, you're free to do so for your own personal use. Heck, you may even share your edited version of my stuff here in this thread for other people to see.
Since I made this thread only to share what I have, I will likely not respond to replies in this thread, so don't be concerned if I don't post often here.
Without further adieu, here's the stuff:
BOOTANIMATION + DOWNANIMATION
I made these because I thought the stock HTC One boot/down animations were too boring and too bright for my eyes. I used a dark bootanimation as a base (thanks to whoever made it first) and added a bit of flair, even going insofar as to make it loop! Similarly, I did the same thing to the downanimation in terms of flair.
NOTE: All pngs in the animations were optimized with OPTIPNG, PNGOUT, and DeflOpt to minimize the zip size to the fullest extent, however, due to the bootanimation's looping nature and length of animation, using this bootanimation will drastically increase your boot times. Unless you reboot your phone like a mad man, this really shouldn't be a problem.
NOTE #2: The beginning of the bootanimation WILL be laggy. All Android devices I've noticed do this, so I am not aware of any way around it. But once the animation hits the loop, it'll be much smoother.
NOTE #3: The below zips are NOT FLASHABLE, they're just the animations themselves. That means you'll have to move them manually to the /system/customize/resource folder. I won't tell you how to move it or set the correct permissions, however.
Links: bootanimation.zip, downanimation.zip.

SPLASH
WARNING: THIS HAS ONLY BEEN TESTED ON GSM VERSIONS OF THE HTC ONE
I am not liable for bricking your phone or starting some kind of thermonuclear war if you flash this. You have been warned.
With that aside, this splash image is simply a run-of-the-mill dark version of the stock splash. I just added the little unlocked padlock at the bottom just to remind me that I have an S-OFF phone. What's also nice is the fact that the padlock doesn't interfere with the red warning text that pops up at boot. (I personally don't trust those modified bootloaders floating around here).
I referred to iElvis's Thread in making this splash, so any warnings listed in that thread also apply to this splash image.
I hope you know what you're doing before you flash the splash.

SOUNDS
Sorry I don't have a preview of the UI sounds I use, but I can tell you what changes I've made.
Normalized the loudness of "Effect_Tick" (the general touch sound) so that it's as loud (and obnoxious) as can be. Taken from Jellybean.
Changed the "Lock" soundeffect to that of a CRT tube de-energizing I recorded myself (fully complements a CRT screen-off animation!)
Use the unlock sound from crApple products because it actually does sound nice
Used keyboard sound effects from Jellybean (I think?) and normalized them
The zip is NOT FLASHIBLE, but as a hint, all these sound effects go into /system/media/audio/ui.

ALL-IN-ONE ZIP FILE
Too lazy to download what you want, put them on your phone, extract the files to the right location, and setting permissions? Me too! That's why I made a convenient zip that flashes the bootanimation, the downanimation, and the sound effects all in one go!
NOTE: I've only tested this on ViperOne, so I'm not exactly sure how everything will hold up on other ROMs, so like always, make a nandroid backup before you flash this.

VIPERONE SPECIFIC THEMING
Since ViperOne is my primary (read: the only) ROM that I use, it was natural that I would make some stuff for it.
4x2 Weather Clock Themes
Ever since ViperOne included the ability to theme the 4x2 weather clock, I was quick to make a theme or two. I was inspired by the Virtuous Team's theme Holo Light back when Sense 4 was around for the Sensation and I have always tried to use their clock design throughout more recent Sense releases. I've now brought the tasteful clock to Sense 6 (specifically ViperOne) and even made a dark version that I personally use.
These will probably be in the Venom Hub in the near future, but if not, can my fellow ViperOne users spread the word?

This theme is called minimalDroid or mDroid for short.
It's very minimal but there is A LOT of customization.
I only changed a few icons, the ones I use most frequently, and they match the rest of the icons as well.
In the preview the notification text is black, I fixed that and its now white.
There are two wallpapers included with the theme, the one in the preview and a orangey vector thing. They can both be found in the wallpaper gallery.
I'd really like feedback because this is a new style of work for me.

I forgot to revert the hands of my clock to the ones I used originally so there's no preview of it and ill have to update it later, for now I need sleep. (4am here in NYC)
Wow! I love anime. Great job.
Looks really good bro i like this themes look.
This is looking good, I'd like to see the clock in your previews as well.
Fixed the clock and the corrupted update.zip problem, what do you guys think?
This theme is awesome would be great to develop it a little bit more just the basic icons but yea i love it
Theres a lot more then what you see in the previews. Almost the entire framework is re-themed.
Looks really good but when I update my phone with the theme It only goes as far as The G1 Logo and then freezes. Please fix as I would love to use your theme

this makes me want to ask my question even more...hehe..
so for the BUUF theme I had to put jf rc33 LITE on my phone to use it, because this same error happened (hanging on the g1 logo)
so this needs to be asked! Is this made for jf rc33, or the LITE version...? which would be a likely reason as to why it hangs on G1 boot screen for some..
same here, RC33, JF1.42 Light Version, apps on SD.
After installing i get stuck at the Bootscreen
*please fix this, i like your theme*

that clears things up, this is for regular (non-lite) jf rc33..
I could always revert to the regular...it is only a small hassle to revert then install this theme..but a hassle none the less...!
^-^' (I know, whine whine...)
No, it's not for any specific version of RC33. The only difference between lite and normal is that the sounds have been removed. I highly reccomend you have at least 15mb of onboard storage before installing. Because of the heavy customization the file is 12.3mb. I will make a fix when I get home. Thanks for your patience and I apologize for any inconvenience.

gotcha, I know that the buuf I installed had to be for lite or it crashed your phone..but I tried this on lite and reg now..and still hangs on g1 boot... hmmm..I have 23 onboard...
luckily, I have 3 friends at work here with g1's, and can hassle them to let me use theirs to mount quickly..^^
If you look in my more vintage less war thread I posted a list of commands to move your ringtones, notifications and alarms to your S.D if you using RC33 Reg this should work.
@crys |s
The theme is running to large p.m and ill show you how to bring the size of your update.zip down even with the heavy mods.
I've fixed it, I think..., download from the link in the OP or from here;

Also, what do you think of my clock?

cant get it to work with regular jf33...attempting with lite now..
Some advice on getting it to work on rc33 regular version... compress your .png files to decrease the zip size.
If it's still giving you problems it might be on your end, I just had a friend test it and worked fine. I'll try compressing in a bit.

good job on this... but just as a heads up, you should probably add a screen shot of the clock it does come with or mention in the op that the "hero" style clock seen can be downloaded from the market. a lot of people are going to wonder why its not in the theme by default...
There you go clock and music widget it was already in the theme i just didnt think to take a screenshot of it
cool beans... itll saves you the headache of people asking, where can i get that clock widget? and trust me it will come in a flurry like on other threads... have you notice any loss in functionality with this theme on this rom? im going to flash it anyways but i wanted to know if you noticed any yet....
Very cool about to download and check it out. Are the button highlights green or orange? (I guess I'll find out, but other's might want to know.)
no i rebuilt it specifically for this rom because its the one i use
button highlights are actually grey and dark grey
Do you know what is the name of "hero" style clock on the market?

I started this the other night, and decided to do a more complete system overhaul with it. I finally got past all of the problems I was having with it booting after much trial and error, but that is how we learn. If there are any suggestions you have, either post in here or drop me a pm, and I will see what I can do. Enjoy!
Disclaimer:Well I am sure that you have read something similar to this many, many, many times now, so let me sum it all up into one convenient bundle, I am not responsible for any damage caused by this, you are choosing to use it. I am not holding a gun to anyone's head making them flash to their phone, or am I... oh wait, never mind that was at a liquor store last night... Make a nandroid in case something does go wrong.
Make sure that you have cleared any previous themes off of your phone before flashing this theme. In other words, flash either the rom or template before flashing this theme. Thank you.

have edited the .apk's and put up some screenshots and upped a new version
This ROM basically combines the engine power of Darky's work and the flawless looks of the Serendipity ROM.
Plus a few more additions and touch-ups:
- Device-wide Ad-blocking
Doesn't even show the 'Image not found' icon.
- Menus rolled back to Froyo-white.
This was done because Google probably forgot to invert the Menu icons to white when changing the Menus to black. The transparency of the black menus doesn't help. The grey icons against transparent black looks like a bunch of disabled items.
- Fixed size of the Browser's bookmarks icon.
A larger Stop button and smaller bookmarks button is weird.
- Activity bar turned to black.
The blue/grey activity bar looked like an abrupt speed-breaker when coming down from the Status bar.
Features from Serendipity that adds to the well-known awesomeness of Darky's ROM:
- All 9patch images are accurately done resulting in no APKTool errors.
- Accurate GingerBread battery indicator without the percentage.
- More GingerBread-like Phone dialer and Contacts.
- More GingerBread-like Notifications.
- Clutter-free extended Power Menu.
ROM Notes:
- Credits for look-and-feel of the ROM goes wholly to MikeyMike01.
- Credits for inner performance tweaks goes wholly to Darky.
- When Mike decides to release an I9000 version of Serendipity, I will step aside.
- Except for Video Calls, everything you've used in Darky's ROM should be here.
Installation:
- Flash stock XWJM8/XXJPY/XWJS3
- Copy 'Serenade_v1.0.zip' (http://www.multiupload.com/B3CFZ6TB45) into device's SDCARD
- Flash ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.2 (http://www.multiupload.com/KW0ZUIPA9I)
- Boot to Recovery and 'wipe data/factory reset'
- Then, 'install zip from sdcard' > 'choose zip from sdcard' > 'Serenade_v1.0.zip'
Installation Notes:
- For me, installing the ROM over anything other than XWJM8 resulted in Market not working
- The ROM uses Darky's 8.X non-wipe installation/cleanup scripts

Count me in for this, can't wait.
Thanks for putting this together, I've done something similar for personal use. You do realise that this breaks video calling support right? Serendipity has it removed because the captivate doesnt have a front facing camera. Probably worth noting.
Also, MikeyMike01 is considering porting Serendipity to the i9000 himself, and will bring video calling back in. So its probably worth waiting for that, no offence.
please port only theme for others rom.

Doctor Who bootanimation with sound!!
WARNING
This is a disclaimer: While this has been tested I am not responsible for ANY damage done to your device. I take no responsibility for bootloops, soft bricks, hard bricks, living brick monsters, your phone proving an omnipotent being fallible(thus negating all existence), your great aunt smoking bath salts, flying monkeys, hot pockets, obamacare, dingleberries, carnivorous dingleberries or Sundays. Use at your own risk!!
Secondary disclaimer: If you have carnivorous dingleberries then you have bigger problems to worry about - but for any phone related questions feel free to message me on here either privately or in the thread.
This is the bootanimation I use for my sprint lg optimus g and figured I should share it for any other Doctor Who fans out there. Doctor Who and the TARDIS are registered trademarks of the BBC. This animation is not my original work, I simply turned it into a bootanimation. THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP! You have to manually put it into your system/media folder and change permissions(-rw-r--r-- aka 644). Also, you will want to delete your old boot animation and sound(make a backup!) and may need to rename this - if you are running stock ls970 it is already named appropriately(As is the sound, PowerOn_Sprint.ogg). Finally, even after optimizing the jpegs as much as possible, the zip is still a whopping 25mb! Both the bootanimation and sound had to be uploaded to dev host because the zip was too big and xda doesn't recognize .ogg files!? Feel free to use this(and any of my bootanimations) in any way you like. I never ask for donations but if you like/use it, you could always hit that thank button!
EDIT: For the sound you may have to copy it to both system/media and system/media/audio. ALSO - THIS ONLY WORKS ON STOCK OR STOCK BASED, AOSP HAS BOOT SOUNDS DISABLED.

GERONIMO!
Thanks to everyone on xda, the BBC, everyone in the #lg-optimus-g irc channel and anyone else I may have forgot!
Feel free to leave feedback and suggestions!
Sick boot ani. Note: I'm running official liquid smooth. I couldn't get sound to work at all. Tried putting it in both spots, changing permissions, even tried renaming the file by taking the sprint off the end. And any combination of the 3, no dice on sound.

From what I now understand, AOSP roms have boot sounds disabled by default or simply don't support them(like cyanogenmod who never plans to support boot sounds). This link I found here may prove helpful. It seems like quite a bit of things need to be modified on a custom rom to enable or allow boot sounds. I have not had the time to try this so as always, make a nandroid before altering anything. As soon as I get the time I will flash liquid and see if I can get this to work(unless you beat me to it). Certain roms like Mahdi have an option in settings to enable boot sounds, but each rom is slightly different. On AOSP it also has to be named "android_audio.mp3", it can't be an .ogg file. We've talked on hangouts so you know my current work schedule - as soon as I have time I will test and try to get this to work on as many roms as possible(I'll do liquid first) and then post detailed instructions per rom in a different guide that I will link to here.
Would I be able to use this on a verizon G3?

I wouldn't recommend it as is, but @KachowPow has it in his LG G3 bootanimation thread, although without sound(I think). But why dont you use my updated one? It's in LG G3 themes and apps and looks incredible on the g3. It's my daily driver boot animation because my phone is doctor who themed, lol.

If you haven't seen it, trust me, it will blow you away when your phone boots.

Thanks for the heads up! Is it an actual Doctor Who theme you created, or just different elements put together? I use Liquid Smooth on my g3 and am using a black and blue theme that almost the same color as the tardis. ,As with the Star Wars stuff I would be in nerd heaven for a complete Doctor Who theme!!!!

No I use my Doctor Who Navbar theme but the rest is patched together. I use galaxy live wallpaper and two different nova icon sets as well as a few made icons like the tardis app drawer.
