Here is everything you need to know. You can flash to stock using lg tools update and re-root or you can switch to zone rom which is released with the updated version or just ignore it until sky dragon releases the update.
Take it easy.
Go easy on the op guys. Some people ( unlike us ) dont visit XDA every day. OP, whatever you do, do not take the download with a custom recovery.

Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk
@antiguangenius Is this the first update you received? It's most likely the update that was pushed out last week.
XD
that isn´t 5.0 had the same update , im using the same ROM, I installed and got a recovery boot loop...........had to flash the whole thing again.......... tap on the notification go to info and uncheck show notifications, and done XD:silly:
I feel like the real update would be much, much larger than 150 mb..

Hi all, I am a new Android developer and am working on my first ROM. It is based off of the 2.3.6 OTA w/ wifi calling. I am focusing on providing a clean user experience with speed and functionality as the top priorities.
I am still in the early stages of developing it but need a couple users to report their experiences with it. I have the SGH-T989, but every Android user uses their phone in a different fashion, so I think it would be beneficial to get other people's thoughts. If you are interested in testing, please post here and I will PM you the link.
About this ROM
As a student I have lots of free time to work on this ROM and about an hour a day during classes dedicated towards ROM development. You can expect this to always be a work in progress as I am not going to stop working on it.
Here is a link to the Changelog
Check it now to see what to expect in the next release!
If you want Swype themes pulled from this ROM, see here Swype Themes

For anyone following my phone troubles, I found the answer. The entire problem was caused by an app called All Call Recorder Deluxe 2.0 by Andriod Labs. It worked awesome until we got WIFI calling. I uninstalled that app and now my phone is finally behaving like a phone again!

this is why if a new member of xda did get updated to ics he wouldnt post anything about it..cuz he would be scared about ppl flaming him smh

Just that folks I'm thinking about upgrading to the S4 and of course rooting it! But how long did you wait before rooting it? I waited about 3 months before rooting my e4gt because it was the first time doing it! I got a galaxy tab 2 and had that rooted within the first week. Just want to see if there is a norm. Thanks ladies and gents.

Bought it in January (Virgin Mobile), rooted it about a month after the March 4.1.2 upgrade, and got the nerve to muck around with ROM's and modem firmware at the beginning of July.

I actually had the phone for over a year.
Once I rooted and figured out how to flash roms, I have made up for lost time...
I actually waited about two weeks to root it. I had came from the Kyocera Rise on VM where mucking around with Pimp my ROM bricked it, and with no custom recovery or unlocked boot loader in sight its still that way.
I just wanted to be sure my bases were covered with custom recoveries and restoring methods before I dove in.

Two days... I waited for a day off to do it, and had to download first rom on a slow 80kbps connection.
So with the latest and greatest s4 I waited about a day a a half! I realized That there were some apps that I couldn't live without that needed to have root access!
Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk 2

(ICS days were even safe to root - flashing stuff? Different story at one point...)
got it for Christmas, rooted once I joined XDA (March)
I wasn't doing much today, now that the semester is over. So I felt like experimenting with our great phone. I think we all notice that the international models offer MUCH more currently active support. So I wanted to find out how much some of the mods and such were compatible. I flashed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2721839, and surprisingly, so far, everything is working out ok. I would highly advise to backup a current nandroid just in case. Obviously this isnt my work, nor am I publishing this mod as in a specific ROM other than the creators. Completely on my time and my risk.
So tell me what you guys think.
