Looks real, but I would get a battery with more mah . UK has real stuff. if u r ordering from china/honkong than its fake.
been trying the zerolemon battery from amazon which is 2300 MaH compared to the 2100 Mah that the original samsung battery carries, and it is a big improvement.
Here is the link http://www.amazon.com/Warranty-Zero...&sr=8-2&keywords=zero+lemon+battery+galaxy+s3
Cant beat the price of $8.99 plus $0.69 shipping.

shipping to turkey cost about 10 $.
UK or not UK, almost all batteries sold on eBay are fake. I'd hazard a guess that even a claimed ZeroLemon on eBay is probably not a ZeroLemon, but some Chinese counterfeit - even if shipped from UK.
Then again, in Hungary, I got a fake from a Samsung authorized reseller/service center! They got the batteries from Samsung Hungary in a sealed box with Samsung logo, all genuine ones on top, a mixture of genuine and fake batteries lower down in the box. Someone at Samsung Hungary has been trying to make some additional $$$ (or more like FtFtFt).
I'd recommend you to buy a new battery from an aftermarket company, rather than a Samsung original, because the Samsung original is probably used (even though they might sell it as new).

To be honest mate, i really doubt the authenticity of those so called original/genuine batteries on ebay.
I have been chatting with many sellers on ebay that claimed OEM Original batteries and I found out that almost every seller calls their batteries Replacement batteries and claims that NFC is not working. So, instead of taking a fake 2100mah, I choose a fake 4300mah!!:good:
They all cheat .....

I bought a new battery like this and after a few days, that battery is worst than my original ... that is really bad .... (No more than 2hrs in use)

Here's two batteries from Mugen Powers, a 1800mAh and 3600 mAh. From my understanding, The 1800mAh will work with the original stock battery cover. And of course the 3600mAh, has the bulkier build. Here's some links for those interested.

Let us know how it works out. I'm curious if there are any heat issues associated with the larger-capacity battery.
I just bought the 1800mAh, but it will be shipped in 10 days and will take 10 more to arrive!
anybody got a 1800mah one yet? thinking of getting one but im not sure they are worth it, has anyone had a battery from these guys before?
Mugen is one of the best second party manufacturer for batteries! It's really quality, no Hongkong Crap.
Interesting, Ive always wondered about suposedly good aftermarket batteries. ....Mugen you say !
OEM batteries is the only option unless the battery is inbuilt. Why are people so gullible? The manufactures always uses the best cells for their phones as it is part of the features present, i.e. long talk/standby time.
I have a HD2 and bought two original batteries which were not from Ebay.

maybe its because the people who know they are no good are so patronising when they are saying such. Not everyone has knowledge of these things and not everyone has had experience of this before but thats no reason to talk down to them. Its logical that these batteries should be better, after all they are rated 400mah higher, if thats not the case then you cannot blame the person who buys it thinking it is.
After market batteries is not a new phenomena and people buying such batteries should have learned by others which have made those mistakes before. It does not matter if it says Mugen or whatever on the battery.
I bought a battery for SE P1 on Ebay for 3 GBP and the picture was showing the retail package. When I received the package it was a "Walkman" branded when P1 is a business phone. I filled a complaint and received my money back. I would never do it without PayPal covering the full amount. I knew it from the beginning, if it sounds to good to be true it is not.

no, but what about somebody doesnt know anything about battery tech, or somebody who simply bought their phone from and o2 shop and has never had experience of other people buying aftermarket batteries? how are they supposed to know?
i came into this thread asking questions because to me it seems a little too good too be true, i know very little about battery tech but i do know a fair bit about other areas. other people, even those on this site may not have the slightest clue other than 1800 is more than 1400 and to talk down to them because of this is very unfair.

£26+ for 400mAh more - seems a bit steep IMO.
Better to buy a second genuine BST-41 from SE - seen them for the same money all over the place:
For example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/EMARTBUY-GE...6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1274285908&sr=1-6
and

So long as it arrives with SE logo and hologram on it, it's probably fine.

Mugen 3600 mAh battery
I got my 3600mAh battery on Friday and it works great! 5% drain an hour even with heavy useage. I can go the whole day without charging and still have 30% before I go to bed, beats the OG battery which I had to charge 2 times a day which sucked...
I'm personally a bit skeptical to 3rd party batteries, but I would like to have a 3600mha battery, the added thickness is not a problem. But as far as I know there only available battery from Sony is the stock 1500mha battery?

Not for me.
My original 1500mAh battery was dead by 3.30-4pm after taking it off charge at 8.30am and that was with moderate use. Its been dead by 2pm before now.
Got my 1800mAh Mugen battery and i can take it off charge at 8.30am and have it still on 40% at 5pm after heavy use during my lunch hour.
It does work much better
Saw an eBay auction for the Mugen battery set up by "Mugen Battery".
Read the lower lines and they want to add 19% VAT after the sale is completed to all EU buyers by sending you a separate bill for the VAT (totally against eBay rules)!
What a bunch of shysters!

I don't have one of those.
But the things I readed on the internet aren't that great.
It looks like an good 1500 mAh last like 1.5x longer than an Andida 2000 mAh.
The 1500 mAh quality one is more expensive but yeah it's an expensive phone so why not buy an good quality battery
The Andida drops down more fast at lower percentages by the way.
Hope this helps for you

You are wrong. It's possible to get more power without increasing the size of, but traders from ebay can fakement it.
I ordered this from Mobilefun. They still don't have stock so have to wait.
What I read about Andida is that they are quite good. But lets see.
It is not a big investment. Something like 11 euros. Just hope it doesn't explode inside the phone
yep, I will buy and try it as soon as it will be in stock.

I'd seen them on mobliefun, did some searching last night, found them for £5.60 on obostore seems a bit to cheap!
Battery from mugen is good as well
I ordered mine from obostore and paid around 5€ (no shipping cost)
I must say, it sure is not lasting more than the samsung one (even if "2000mAh" suggest otherwise) but for such a cheap price, as long as they don't explode, you can keep it as an emergency spare battery.
So far it hasn't exploded D) and no signs of swelling.
I bought one from Mobilefun. Only on its 3rd charge but can't tell any difference from original. No better but no worse! Hope it improves with a few more charges.
Well I heard there's a bit of luck when you buy HK batteries.

Have this battery and the stock battery can last longer than the adinda battery. Just get yourself a 3500 mah battery. It work wonders

I have never heard of this, but it looks amazing! Thank you. I'm gonna ask the seller. Seeming that the description claims it to be a Lithium Polymer battery it is very likely that it is normal sized. In the past I searched around and never found a lithium polymer battery for the Galaxy phones. It would be really nice if all phones had high capacity lithium polymer batteries.
My question is that something for the 19000 battery wise is the same size as all other Galaxy 1 variants correct?

Yes, you are right. After some more research @Wikipedia, LiPoly Batteries can have high capacity and can be used safely provided that you use the original chargers and not the cheap Chinese crap. BLE is not needed for them . I might buy one soon, If i do, will update this thread. Wish me luck.

Hi !
Any feedback about this battery ?
Did you received it in time ?
Is it really better than the 1500 or 1800mAh ?
Thank you
To good to be true I think
I'd also love a battery which claims what this one does at this price, but It seems to good to be true. A bit of Googling shows a review for this battery with 2/2 "average" reviews which show it did not perform as promised (but it did work). There are also some other review sites which say pretty much the same thing. (I'd love to post the URL but can't because I'm a noob. A search for B005O8S4V0 on amazon.co.uk will find this.
Also, I think that if this technology was legit Samsung would have shipped it with the unit itself !!
Pity, I was really hoping it would work. I hate it that all the aftermarket batteries I have purchased sucked compared to the original.
DG
Yep i've finally bought a 1800mAh PolaCell battery. It seemed more secured to me.
Maybe i'm wrong (I hope for those who bought it) but as you said the 2430mha chinese one is too cheap to be true.
Lithium Ion is different to Lithium Polymer, the one on the link is a Lithium Polymer
More Details here
Code:
http://jartiuch.wordpress.com/2007/11/01/nimh-or-li-ion-or-li-polymer-what-to-consider%E2%80%A6/
Basically, Lithium Polymer batteries can have the same size but higher capacity, so there is a good chance that the battery is real.
But again I haven't still bought it cause I am running on a tight budget, but I am planning to buy one when I am selling my phone so that I can buy an Galaxy S3.
That doesn't look like it could be a Li-Ion Polymer cell due to the rounded edge. Only a square edge or foil pack would mean it's a true prismatic cell which is the casing for Li-Ion Poly cells.
The 3.7V vs 3.6V already shows that most of these are using a technology better than just standard Li-Ion, so it wouldn't really be much of an improvement.
Different manufacturer use different materials for anode, cathode, and electrolyte and these Chinese companies use the cheapest ones. So you're either getting what you pay for or getting ripped off depending on how you look at the false advertising.
I heard this battery(same label/producer on other handsets) is very bad.
I think I grabbed the wrong one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/28086765575...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_3124wt_1163
It does look the same, but 2450. Interestingly it is made in Japan, not China. Here's the weight, plus the OEMs that I have for comparison:
32.3g OEM Captivate 1500mAh
34.3g Japan "Gold" 2450mAh
36.65g OEM Epic 1800mAh
So I was expecting it to come out around 1650mAh, but it gave me 1910 the first time. I'll use it for a few weeks and run another test. Not really sure what to expect though.
Edit: This battery is crap. 2nd run at 200mAh it failed at 4 hours, about 850mAh drained. Now it's hovering just over 3.5v, right over where the phone would shut down. Trying to get the rest out so I can cycle it again, but I think it will be getting a funeral tomorrow.
Been running the "2430mAh battery" for about a week now with Battery Monitor Widget. Estimated rating is ~1300 mAh. Not great, but still gets me through the day with light-moderate usage.
For $10 it was worth a shot. At least the battery isn't COMPLETE garbage. :S
I already have an 1800mah anker and it is working fine for around $10....I am getting an oem epic battery tomorrow hopefully and I just ordered this

Don't buy from that seller, seller1on1 did not ship a real mugen battery instead he shipped a cheap ass 3500mah chinese battery and door you can get on ebay for $8.
This has been the strangest battery. After the second cycle I got 2300mAh out of it, but the phone was randomly shutting off. It started behaving after that though.
From what I understand some of these no name batteries come from good manufacturers' fail bins. They sell them off cheap instead of dumping them in landfill. So if that is the case, it's kind of a gamble.

It is more expensive than Anker battery but it gives more juice (20-25% more than stock) and many people say that the phone feels better in hand with some extra weight and thickness.
I also say go for the 2000mah by Samsung. There's a significant improvement in battery life. The larger battery also doesn't get as hot. and the phone's back is now flat.

Seriously, don't fall for that super mega over xxxmAh class A or whatever made from wherever. I'm having a great experience with the Samsung one, gives me additional 3 hours (at least) with heavy usage. I'm quoting one website that describes it "the S2 that should have been" which is true enough, at least from my experience.
I promise you, you won't regret adding some more off your pocket to get one... heck I even ordered it online and shipped it from abroad!

Was it from an online shop or real one, because here in Bulgaria its 35 euro at least?
Most Romanian online shops have it at less than 20 euros, with a back cover included.
I got a pack of 2 ankers and a charger for 12 quid. Amazing.
Spent 3 days getting drunk on a scottish beach and still had battery , you can charge a battery and the phone at the same time and the batteries are small so carrying a spare is no big deal in my opinion. That way you're looking at 2 additional days charge.
Here is a link to ebay to a extended battery for galaxy s2.
Its 3500mAh and also comes with the battery cover.

I've had good luck with Anker batteries. No, I don't work for Anker or anything like that at all, just a satisfied customer. They make good quality batteries. I don't have any experience with Samsung batteries, so I can't comment on them.

I also say go for the 2000mah by Samsung. There's a significant improvement in battery life. The larger battery also doesn't get as hot. and the phone's back is now flat.

How long does it take to charge this battery?
2000 mAh
Charge time for me is 1.5 - 2 hours.
I have a spare one and cover (PM me if your interested)
I found this thread where G1_enthusiast reviewed Anker and Seidio batteries for S3, but I also found the 4600mAh battery from Mugen Power earlier than these, and ordered it.
All I head is that cheap batteries are made out of almost expired materials and work for like 200 charge cycles, which explains their price. The expensive ones like Mugen or Seidio work for 400-500 charges, which is better, but would be awesome if some one could review the 4600mAh one. I will post my results later when I receive it, but I don't have experience in doing such tests.

reason why they are not popular is the price tag, i used to think their company is out of japan but in fact they are base out of hong kong (people tend to think china stufff are ****ty). so what make their battery better than anker or hyperion? having say that, i have own their battery before (G2 and SGS2) and they do make battery longer than stock. however i was not into crazy testing at the time. i will not pay 100 bucks for battery again, as long as anker is in bussiness.
seido is the only battery company that is base in texas...thats not to say their factory isnt in china either. they also make quality battery in the past

Well, as I head many times and experienced myself on older phones (I have a 3900mAh from Mugen for Nexus S that works for 1.5 years already) - industry standards cannot produce a good quality battery and sell it for 10$. Those batteries are usually made out of expired materials. The issue here is not just the capacity but the battery life cycle. Cheap batteries have confirmed to last for 100-200 charges, however batteries from Seidio or Mugen last for 400-600 charges, not to say about warranty and safety + NFC support.
Also, for me personally customer support and brand presence is more important than being cheap. If I can afford a phone that costs 800$, I surely can get a good quality battery for a 100$. I will get the battery soon, btw, and will let you know.

I wonder if the Mugen battery will work with the extended cases that are being offered. I got one from Hyperion that I like. Judging by pictures it looks like the Mugen extended door may be a little bigger or designed different.
If the Mugen would fit with the other extended doors and TPU cases I would buy it. I've had great luck with them,

If a cheap extended battery lasts for 200 charges and I charge it every 2 days, it's still going to last over a year. I expect to have a new phone by this time next year if not sooner. So what's the big deal?

Good point, I always try to get the best deal, but for some reason I stopped using ebay batteries long time ago after a couple of duds.

That is why you go for tested name brand but not super expensive. a mugen costs more than 5 times what a hyperion, qcell, etc. costs. but it is very unlikely they will last 5 times as many charges. there is nothing like a fresh battery!
Well, they're always out of stock...I guess they never back back-logs. Anyways, I've received my S3 battery and now I need to calibrate the phone according to their instruction. They say that it's necessary to charge 4-5 times for 8-12 hours before the phone recognizes the new capacity. Does anyone know why?

I possibly cannot be doing a better ones that I've added to the thread. Check these videos.
$100 for a battery! That's more than half what I payed for the phone itself

Why didn't you buy a stand with extra battery that recharges both at the same time and just carry the extra one with you? I did, 18 pounds in amazon.uk. That way there is no extra bulk, and it's much cheaper!

I tend to carry my phone around, that's why. I think that's the sole purpose of having an extended battery in the first place.

Who said anything about not carring it around? I also carry it around, along with the extra battery. At the end of the day i put them both charging.

Yup, when the other extended battery costs less than $30 bucks, why pay much more?

Thanks. Is this the official Samsung extended battery kit? Also, does the S3 fit in this dock when used with either an Incipio or SGP Neo Hybrid case?

This is not the official one, it's Chinese. But in a emergency the extra battery does the trick. The phone won't fit with the case, you have to take it off.
