hey guys i have the custom rom paranoid android for my device but there seems to b a bug and i want to fix it but idk how some apps cant pick up my exsdcard for example the camera app saves pictures to internal and apollo and google play doesn't search my music and its bugging me there was an update in which i tought it will fix the problem but no its still there how can i fix this help me plzzzzzz. i have use media rescaner and all those apps one that worked for me was ics binder but my phone ran out of batery and when i rebooted the problem started happening again please help me.
I'm having the same problem as can't save camera photos to the external SD card. There is a setting in the camera app that says "store" not sure what it means but it doesn't seem to change anything.
One other thing I would like to confirm is under system settings is the "storage" setting in the prior ICS version you could format the external SD Card. Here format SD Card formats the internal SD Card. Can you format the external SD Card from settings? Not what I was expecting, guess that's why I backed everything up.
I'm running Paranoid 4.1.2 and it is fantastic and fast. I was on ICS previously and had these settings before.
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but either way Paranoid is awesome!
Thanks for your advice.
Save camera pics to external Sd card
I guess tagging onto 2 week old thread with no responses was not the best idea
Looks like saving camera pics to external sd card is not an option. I even downloaded
Camera from ver. 4.2, same thing. Only solution I can make work is use a different camera app
than google's.
Still not sure why 4.1.2 does not have an option to format the external sd card just the internal.
Still like Paranoid, seems very stable.
Hello,
since Android 4.4 Kitkat is available for Z1C quite a long time I was asking myself wether it is still possible to load Music Files through my computer on my SD Card (wiht mass storage activated on my z1 compact).
If yes I am fine and would update to 4.4 KitKat if not, I would stay on 4.3 even though I would like to see KitKat on my device.
Could someone please check this out?

So it's working like it did on 4.3?
Also in mass storage mode, because that is the importatant thing for me
By the way with SD card I mean the external micro SD card (mine is 32 GB)
Hi to everyone,
this is my first thread on this forum. I hope to post in the right section.
I'm new to modding but with a lot of luck and patience I succeded in flashing ParanoidAndroid 4.4.4 on my Sony Xperia S.
All went right, but there is a problem, a big problem.
For some reasons I can't move apps to the external memory (I read something about new Google policy), so now I have only the 2GB internal memory available, and you can imagine that has been filled up only by contacts.
Do you know how can I fix this issue?
Thank you very much
That's a bug on PA RC2. Stable final version should be out soon so just wait a few days

I'm running the test build by deedwar, in which the sdcard is accesible. You can download it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53767718&postcount=1663
I'm running it as a daily driver and apart after a random fc of the launcher after a long time (or very heavy usage, cant pin it down) it works good. I'm not experiencing any problems with it, even with that fc of the launcher, since it almost never happens

Are you serious, you have your 2GB internal memory filled up by only your contacts? I highly doubt that. I have over 50 apps installed at the moment without having to move any of them to SD, although no games. And I'm using ART so storage usage is even more.
Are you using Dalvik, and how many apps/games are you trying to install? You might have to make do with a little less for now but a fix is under way.
Deedwar has some test builds that have fixed the move to SD bug, but they're test builds that have some other bugs so only flash that if you want to actively test and you can live with some bugs (the launcher fc's as others said). Otherwise you should stay with the official Legacy builds and wait for the fix to get implemented there, could be next week already.
I'm pretty happy Google is scrapping the partitioning of storage for only apps and moving to SD, my Nexus 7 can use all of the 32GB storage for apps, no need to manually move apps to SD. I remember what it was like on my ZTE Skate with only 512MB storage and no built-in storage. Was a constant struggle for app space and just moving to SD wasn't even enough because that still requires some part of the app on the data partition. So instead of moving to SD you had to manually format the SD card and symbollically link apps to a partition there. It was such a mess that I never want an SD card in my phone anymore, and I also try to limit the amount of apps I install.

Yes, but the problem is that all the contacts are linked to the Facebook profile picture. Now I have disabled the syncing app and I have a lot of free space now
Guys, In this post I am discussing certain important issues of our T2 Ultra and the ways to work around those issues.
After updating to Kitkat firmware, the ability for third party apps to write to our External SD cards was lost, like not able to download movies through torrents directly to our External SD card.
Secondly, the Move to SD card option made availaible by Sony is nothing similar to what we all think. It DOES NOT transfer major portion of the data to our External SD cards, rather a tiny fragment, which is safe to say, is not like moving it anywhere at all.
Thirdly, the RAM, as specified in numerous reviews and websites, our phone DOES NOT have 1GB RAM. It has 856MB to be exact. Thats an entire 140+ MB less. This has its effects on multi tasking, as u might have observed, while returning to the home screen after using some apps, it takes time for the screen to load apps onto it.
All these are serious problems, considering we paid a decent price for this phone and didnt get what we exactly needed.
Luckily, there is a work around.
First thing, u have to ROOT your phone. If u just search around the this forum, ul find plenty ways to do it.
To solve the problem of not being able to write to External SD cards in-app, u have to download 'Nextapp sdfix' from google playstore. Once downloaded, u can follow the instructions and the issue gets resolved. Its 100% working.
Now to solve the issue of moving apps to External SD card, u have to download 'Folder Mount' app from playstore. Once done, u can easily mount the folders of ur heavy apps like games onto ur External SD card, and it clears space on your Internal SD card. It works very well.
Lastly, to solve the RAM issue, ofcourse we cant increase the RAM by any way but we can smartly clear off the unwanted apps running in the background and gain most of the RAM.
'Fast Reboot' app does just that! Small app with big function, just download it from the playstore, it will put a green icon on ur homescreen, and all u have to do is to just click on it! Simple. It clears out all the RAM and u can directly notice the difference! It gives me 300+ RAM free everytime after using it.
Thats it guys, all your RAM and Internal memory storage problems should get resolved by this.
Hit thanks if helped.

thanks!!
All good to know.
Even though I installed an external micro sd card, I am unable to install the new apps you specify.
1 I guess I have to uninstall some apps, to make room
2 Install the apps you specify
3 Move some apps out to the sd card
4 reinstall the apps I deleted
I guess I will figure it out
but thanks again for the good information:good:

Very useful tips, thanks. Can we use swap(tools like ROEHSOFT RAM-EXPANDER ) to deal with the low RAM issue?

Does the app sdfix works in android 5.1.1, or having this i don't need the app or i need another similar one?
Hi!
I used whole 32GB of the memory. I know one can get SD card (which I own btw.).
But some apps like Marvel Future Fight etc. install only on internal memory for some reason.
So is there a card/device/rom whatever that can expand INTERNAL memory?
Find a way to make Marshmallow run on this device, and you'll have adaptive storage, which is exactly that - uses external SD as internal memory.

As You can see, my version is 5.0.2 and its the only working, improved version for this LG with all the audio/camera/addons extensions.
But thanks, tell me more about this adaptive storage, for a future ya know. How to turn it on?
I'm kind of a lazy guy, so please, don't follow my example and read this

@ShadySquirrel
I did find a topic of Yours discussing creation of andoir 6.0 but as far I know no one succeed so far right? I'm doomed with 5.0.2 and 32GB
Or are there any bumbers for back expanding the internal storage hmm IPHONE GOT ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mophie-Battery-Built-Storage-iPhone-Black/dp/B00IN2UYN0
THIS IS UNFAIR
You're doomed I got 6.0 booting, but couldn't make our jellybean aged RIL and modem to work (and it doesn't want to work with opensource RIL), so device got no phone signal, no gps and other stuff depending on RIL... Sometimes even 5.1.1 was a ***** to build - camera is still half-functional and people were having issues with bluetooth.
