[Q] Unreadable white-on-white notifications - do you have this problem? - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

I actually have the Ascend G6 but wanted to ask Ascend P6 owners about this:
Do you have this problem, where buttons (and sometimes text) in notifications is white on a near-white background making it nearly unreadable?

If so, is there a way to fix it? P6 owners, did a recent firmware update fix it?
As far as I know, Google recommends developers use white foreground on transparent background for any buttons in their notification pane. So has Huawei dropped the ball here? Why can't I find anybody else complaining of this issue?

I have the same problem with Spotify, buttons are barely visible.

What kind of theme do you mean? How would I do that?
If you mean Emotion UI themes, none of them seem to change the notification panel color.

Yes I mean Emotion UI Themes .. it was possible under Jb so Kitkat I must be possible too ..

Wow that looks very promising, thank you.
Using xposed framework to modify system apks seems like overkill for me though. The author of that mod implies that he would have been able to style it black without root,but that the xposed mod was only necessary for the AOSP style toggle buttons. I wouldn't need that, I'd be happy with just a black styled notification shade even if it still had huawei's layout.
Do you know if there are any emui themes that just do that? Or would it be very hard for me to create one?

True it does work. But not all of it works correctly. The post listed has it transparent in the app too but its not. The blue tint on the buttons also isnt there. I assume its due to the player being made for a different model. Im just about done with my current project so im gonna play with this an a few other apps an see if I can color them too

[Q] Change navigation bar icons in the Theme app?

Hi guys, I've been trying to figure out how to change the icon of the navbar for a few days now, still have no clue. It would be nice to have the Stock Android look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I see some theme on the market which have the navbar icons changed, so I assume that it is possible to some options (which I don't know about) in the Theme app to do that without rooting my M9, right?
Thanks in advance
Create a Theme here under Maker Pro
That allows you to change all icons and navbar stuff. I think it does anyway.

You have to use the pro -themer on the page.
Then nav icons and the clock widget have their own steps in the process.
Now... if someone can tell me how to hack the google icons inn instead of the choices htc give me... (they have one that is similar to stock but square is home and two circles indicate the task switcher. (and there is an ugly line on the back key))
i still can't find it

Notification tab

Ok so I'm just wondering if there's a way to change this. When I pull down the notification tab the whole screen goes black. Is there a way to change that? Also when I use Pandora or Spotify the music controls don't work, in the notification tab or the lock screen, but the built in music plays works. Is there a setting I'm missing or something else going on?

One solution for the black screen is to wait for EMUI 8.0 as it's currently in beta.

No I'm ok with the notification tab being black when it's pull down. It's the rest of the screen that goes black too. Or is that just what emui 5.1 does anyway.

It's not the notification tab I'm talking about its rest of screen . In EMUI 8 it's semi transparent while on EMUI 5 it's completely black you can check the screenshot

And for Unresponsive Notification Actions try to Uninstall and Reinstall the App ( Pandora and Spotify ) It worked for me but with Advanced Download Manager App .So it might work with that apps too .

Question Change lockscreen clock!!!

So I am sure this has been asked many times, I just cant seem to find it, lol.
I hate the digital square clock thing on the lock screen and from what I can tell and read there is not an easy way to change this. Nice!!
I am rooted, any suggestions on how to change this to a normal digital or analog clock? I am not sure why would there not be an option for something as SIMPLE as this?
I hear this changed in Android 12, but in 13, its a new "feature"?
The only way to change it currently is to leg l leave some kind of notification as unminimized. I know in another thread in this section someone mentioned a particular app for creating a dummy notification you can leave displaying all the time. Having a notification that displays on the lockscreen makes the lockscreen small as in screenshot below.
Now if you don't let notifications display on your lockscreen, then there's nothing you can do about it for now (until / if someone finds a way).

Thanks, will look into that. Any idea WHY this would be restricted this way, lol?
I just use the built in screen saver and have it set to the digital clock. Down side is that the screen saver only works when the phone is charging/docked.
You can try AODNotify or
Tasker can help you change the size of Android 12's AOD clock
A new Tasker project allows you to choose between the small and large clock designs on Android 12's Always-On Display.

With A12 Google removed a lot of the customization options we once had, such as setting a specific icon layout in the status bar and choosing a font style. Samsung still retains these features.
In A12 the lock screen clock is new, while in A13 there is supposedly new options being developed that will allow you to change the display format. It may also arrive in A12L.
Your best bet is to install a 3rd party AOD app to customize your lock screen or wait for a custom ROM.
