Network Mode missing in the Mobile Network option - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am trying to find Network Mode on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to switch to 3G but I can't see the "Network Mode" option in there.
Is there any other way to switch to 3G from 2G on Note 2?
It's an unlocked ATT Note 2.
Thanks

Think you have to be rooted. Install the app Advanced Signal Status and under "additional info", then "device info" you can choose for different options.

when I am using my galaxy note 3, I input *#2263# to go to a menu where I can force LTE/WCMA my device and mostly it connects to only LTE.
in the Galaxy tab S , the code works but the option for LTE only is missing. so now I continuously connect to a slow 3g network.. bummer...
*UPDATE:
apparently you have to deselect all GSM bands and just select all LTE and WCMA bands.. you wont be able to use GSM bands but your device will lock on to LTE connections if avaialbe, 3g will apply if LTE is unavailable. hope this helps

[Q] [SGH-M919v] Galaxy S4 no LTE

Hello,
I have an open-line Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919v) and the problem is that I can't use the LTE feature of this device even though there is a sticker of LTE on the phone. The network mode option doesn't show LTE option as it only says WCDMA/GSM, WCDMA Only and GSM Only. I also tried to change the settings in *#2263# but selecting LTE changes the Signal bars to " Ø " I upgraded from Kitkat (4.4.2) to Lollipop(OTA) and still the LTE option on Network mode is missing.
I am using an LTE sim and also am very sure that I am in an LTE spot. The phone was from Canada but I don't know which network specifically it was subscribed to as it was only given to me.
Hoping to fix this problem as soon as possible, Thank you.
You should ask here:

But probably there isn't anything you can do. You phone doesn't really support LTE. It support some bands, but your provider is probably using a different band for LTE. So your phone will never get LTE with that provider.
Choose "automatic" after dialing *#2263*
Worked for me.

I had a vzw s4 and was able to get lte in a hybrid att area. I had to use lte specific locked band in the options and would change to gsm or automatic when i left the hybrid area to be able to place calls etc. In the hybrid area everything worked fine.

*#0011# question.

On my Note 4 I was able to use this code to boost the power of my Wi-Fi and change my LTE / GSM or CDMA settings. Anybody know how to access this menu with the Note 7 it doesn't seem to be working through the dialer with Verizon.

Note 4 N910A No 3G?

Hello! I got my ATT Note 4 yesterday and 4g LTE works fine but for some reason I can't get 3g to work on it. I tried going to "mobile networks" but i couldn't find the "network mode" so i can't choose which I want so i used the code "*#*#4636#*#*" and tried setting it to "WCDMA Preferred" then "WDCMA Only" and "GSM/CDMA Auto" but i still don't get 3g.

Just a guess, you might not have 3G APN setting in your phone. Try different sim and test 3g on it. If it works then u need settings or new sim. If dont then take your phone to carrier customer center and they will help you.
