Hi,
You may want to try updating with ODIN or Kies instead of OTA.
Honestly, I never update my device via OTA. It's slower and full of bugs.
ODIN is FASTER with least bugs.
Good luck.

Dear all,
i'm just new and noob in android im an iphone and blackberry user... yesterday i received a notification to update my nexus to 4.2.2 i tapped on it but after some a screen comes up saying install from untrusted zip file yes or no i tapped yes but after that it says this cannot be done... i tried to update it manually but couldnt find a use ful link ... if u guys can help me in this my phone is rooted btw.
I'll just leave this here.
I'm assuming you have a custom recovery, which is why it failed, you must be all stock for the OTA to work.
I'm trying to update my tab 3 8.0 but I'm rooted. Is there any way to to update without unrooting?
It keeps saying this device has been modified no updates available
you could unroot if you're using super su. not sure how to do that with superuser.
if you've modified /system/app in any way you're likely to have issues as well.
There's an update? I don't see one....but...after ONLY 5 months with no love......kinda disappointed I got this thing. My Nexus 10's been updated numerous times in the same period.
Do you have a custom recovery installed? If you could download the update then you could flash it through your recovery. You can usually find firmware here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ (I don't see anything new) You can also use Kies to return your tablet back to stock using the emergency recovery feature. You have to run Kies from a computer and connect via USB cable to do it.

Flash the original Stock FW... then do all your updates...
(Mine did 2 over the weekend..)
After your updates, then re-root.
good luck
Yeah I wouldn't say I'm disappointed but kinda wish I went with a note tab. I just figured there was a update because that message come up when I tap update.

It probably didn't download correctly or you don't have enough memory for the installation process maybe. Best way is to go with Odin to make sure everything gets installed right
hello
Try downloading it from sammobile and flashing through Odin also don't want to be rude but u should put this in the q & a so no one gets angry at u
alright

i formated everything thing so i could do this update but that did not work either so i google search the real update for my smt210r and found it and i downloaded this morning its almost done and i will try with odin that is the best way also another thing i try to do was i went to try to install the update on samsung kies and didn't do nothing so like you said go with odin and that is what i will do sometime today when i get back from town
For the hell of it I went and opened up Kies and was hit with a new Kies Update, not a lollipop update, well not yet. i am hoping that after I update Kies, Version 3.2.15013.17, I will be hit with the official update for Lollipop soon on it.
I recommend this update now if you have not done it though. It is a big update which is the reason I am excited it might lead me toan official Lollipop notice.
Fingers crossed!!!!!

Post an update if its officially the 5.0 version
No notice from Kies after the Kies update for 5.0. It is still saying my phone is up to date on firmware.
I would still go ahead and update Kies because it took like half an hour to download and uninstall the old version and install the new version.
It has some pretty neat new features too especially when it comes to doing a back up. it backs up everything including music.
Update your Kies now because when the Lollipop update hits Kies you do not want to have to wait another half an hour for Kies to update.
Hello everyone.
This morning after a restart of my Samsung Galaxy Note 7 I was met with the black screen and the dreaded red message CUSTOM BINARY BLOCKED BY FRP.
To be fair, to avoid Decembers battery limiting update, I installed TWRP and opted for the HydraRom install.
Things i have done so far:
Downloaded the full .tar pack for UK EE Note 7 latest firmware (N930FXXU2BPI7 - Changelist 9201627)
Tried applying them with Odin and it fails SW REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE 3 BINARY 2?
As this is a difficult find, I came to you guys because I think together we can work this out.
Lets do this! Thanks.
Chris
Also, am i right in stating that the firmware N930FXXU3BPL2 is the original update to reduce the battery charge limit to 30%?
