Hello people, I hope you can help me on this.
Not new to android (had 4 androids) but i recently messed up with a gio. No matter what I do, i cant enter download mode. I tried everything (all key combos) but still no luck. When I used Odin, it does recognize my phone (ram dump mode) but i cant flash a rom. I can enter both ram dump and recovery (official android recovery) but even on recovery i can't choose anything. Can you please help me on this? I'm quite desperate since i dont have a phone at the moment...
Galaxy Gio GT-S5660 with latest offical firmware for Portugal.
FIXED.
Entered recovery mode and rebooted through adb.
adb reboot download.
Hopes this helps people that had or have the same problems as i did.

So far so good, ive made the firmware upgrade.
When the phone restarted it shows me the message : Firmware upgrade encountered an issue gt- i8150 , please select recovery mode in kies & try again?
So now when i inter in download mode it shows me the RamDump Mode so i cant install another rom by ODIN method and in cant enter recovery mode.

if you can't turn it on (meaning that u can't use the phone ) , the phone is bricked
BUT if u can do it , just do the update again
ALSO, are u sure u entered the download mode???( Volume up + main button + power button)
OR did u do something wrong during the update process?? (such as turning off the phone during the update)
If still can't solve the problem, take to Samsung and fix it.
try to flash stock ROM.. find a thread for flashing with ODIN in General Section..
I tried flashing recovery via auto rec.
and after that phone is stuck in fast boot , No download mode no recovery.
Searched for a bunch of threads which mainly suggest to push or delete and reflash files via fast boot but phone isn't getting recognized on my comp in fast boot mode under adb devices.
i even dual booted into ubunto on my comp just for this so i could try on linux same issues.
Please help or point me towards what i can do to recover it?
when i try download mode it shows downloadmode for like a sec and then goes into fast boot again any solutions please would help.
Service center here is no help because its an imported phone and model is different to what is sold here in india.
thanks a ton in advance.
Bump
anyone ?
any solutions.
Did you make sure when you downloaded the auto-rec program it was for the right version for the phone.
As for recovery, if Linux/ubunto isn't seeing it. Grab insurance and turn it in for repair.

Hello everyone! This is what i have with my Galaxy W.
I installed cyanogenmod 10.1 and after some days I got a bootloop from nowhere.
I wanted to flash stock rom, because that was the only solution.
I could enter recovery or download mode easily but my home button is broken.
I tried with adb to enter download to flash with odin, but it gives error:device not found, even after I installed adb and samsung drivers from charging mode, because this is the only mode I can enter with my phone.
So what can I do to enter download mode ?
(In my country we have few usb jig, so I can't buy one or to make one)
Please help me!
Hi all members,
I dont know anything much about develpoment, I have ZE551ML 32gb version. I rooted my phone and it was working fine until i installed layers manager from playstore and applied new layers and instantly after restarting the phone was struck on bootloop .. So after searching a bit i managed to open the phone in fastboot mode .
after then i did a factory reset and restarted the phone but the problem of bootloop was still there .. so after searching more i decided to install a custom rom, for that i first used adb tools to flash a twrp recovery in fastboot mode and when i try to enter in recovery mode the phone restarts and enters the fastboot screen itself not on recovery screen. So for me there is not way to enter in recovery mode . So someone please help me and repair my phone i will be very grateful.
Yea you can only install layers for roms that support them. stock doesn't support it. is your bootloader unlocked? if not first do then that try flashing a recovery again.
Hi, can someone help me ?
I'm user Letv 1 Pro (CN) and my phone cant enter the fastboot mode
I want to install twrp for root and change my rom
I have follow some tutorial, but it won't work to my phone, my phone is back turn on after penguin logo just for 5 secs, and it back again to turn on and wont start fastboot mode (no brick)
or it because I'm not enter my Letv account ?
sorry for my english, thanks
I'm having the same problem.
My phone was not like that before. Previously I entered fastboot, installed twrp and did other things.
Maybe it's the new stable version of the stock rom. They must have tweaked it to prevent users from using the fastboot mode.
Can someone help me with this.
