Google Keep and numbers - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Any one know how to prevent Google Keep from underlining numbers and making difficult to edit them?
Thanks

That is a pain isn't it? How long the numbers are will determine how convenient these ideas might or might not be. Use an * asterisk or a / forward slash instead of a - hyphen. A space between numbers works and combinations of letters and numbers also works without being underlined.

Thanks for the reply. Even 2014 in "12 Sep 2014" gets underlined? Why? - it isn't a phone number! Same with 99-100 or 158 85 or 121/56.
I just don't understand why someone thought this was a great idea.

I just tried 12 Sep 2014 and 2014 is not underlined for me. I'm using the google keyboard if that makes any difference. Theoretically if something is underlined you should be able to tap on it and it will open the phone dialer, calendar, maps or possibly some other app I'm not thinking of.

Try the date with a colon after it 13 09 2014:
Odd isn't it?
I realise there is the potential to use numbers as links but I just wish there was a way to turn it off.

how can we remove this Battery icon for the clock

Hi All
Does anyone know how to change the Battery Icon on the new ROM. This is the same screen when I was back using the Hima05.
Hey, Buzz sir, could you give us a flash on this? I have searched for the Reg but without luck.
Thank
Julius
I don't know how to do this, but check this post, it's a small plugin that replaces the standard date/time plugin with configurable format and internet (swatch) time support!!
http://www.pocketpt.net/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=6&t=8229
Here's a screenshot of it!
neat Though not seeing a download link (might have to be logged in, I suppose). But getting rid of the battery icon altogether would be nicest for the matter at hand

The download file is found near the bottom of the page file name: TodayTimeCab.zip (16.2k)
Hope you like it!!
I'm still improving it, so any bugs detected or sugestions are very much welcome and apreciated!
Looks nice,
an option to add the week number shuold be nice.
I can't really give suggestions as I've poured a bunch of cash into a project much like it - figures, two projects that are very much like it pop up right after I do so, and a long time after I openly requested it. That's life eh ?
But here's two bugs
- even though you seem to imply that seconds are accepted, it doesn't seem to update per-second
- when installing, add Selectability=1 to make sure users can navigate to the item with the d-pad/arrows and use the OK/enter button to 'tap' it so they can enter the date/time/alarm/etc. controls

I knew that, I did that on purpose because refreshing the screen that many times didn't seem to be a good option...
I'll test this one better and give it some thought

Yep, check the attachment, it should read "TodayTimeCab_0.1.0.1.zip"
(é bom ver tugas por aqui também!)
Good work! New Battery at TitleBar is really annoying...
A few suggestions, if it is not asking too much
- Internet Time should be inserted with proper syntax configuration (for instance 'i, HH:MM' or '@, HH:MM'). This way user could choose to have it or not.
- Font size configuration would be also very welcomed. I use Today font size at the minimum, but for TodayTime I'd like to see it larger.
- When Today screen displays a lot of items and the left scrollbar gets displayed, it overlaps left part of time string
I was able to overcome this inserting a few sapces at end of time format string. However it would be nice to have it always right justified.
(Há Tugas por todo o lado )
In order to speed-up confgurations after Hard Resets... I'm installing 'TodayTime' among several other apps, from ExtROM and customize settings via a cab file at ExtROM also.
It happens that 'date' and 'time' format strings are stored into registry, at keys with very unusual names (see bellow).
In fact they include special characters like horizontal TAB (HT) and Vertical TAB (VT), where spaces seem to be.
...it must be something automatically generated...
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\TodayTime]
"RightFormat TodayTime(Software\\Microsoft\\Today\\Items\\TodayTime"="HH:mm "
"LeftFormatRightFormat TodayTime(Software\\Microsoft\\Today\\Items\\TodayTime"="yyyy MMM dd, ddd"
This causes a lot of problems to loaders (specially the VT), and in fact didn't find a solution yet.
Can't you use more "regular" registry key names!?
e.g.
"RightFormat"
"LeftFormat"
might be good to move the topic of the TodayTime today item to a new thread, and get this thread back on topic: removing the battery icon from the taskbar in AKU2 roms.

How increase the number of Favorites in people tab?

If you need that many why not just click on 'All Contacts'? The Contacts list is much easier to use than the Favourites.
(Note the search icon at the top)
should be possible with a register tweak, I think. I will have a look into that and, if found, report back
OK, after a thorough search in the registry, I only found one key that might have something to do with your question, altough I'm not absolutely sure about that:
HKLM\Software|HTC\ResProxy\APP\ContactCard.
The value in this key is set at 15. You might give it a try to change that to 20 and see if it works.
Oh, BTW, changing the key is at your own risk.
regards, Kuzibri

i need this registery key please provide ASAP plz

Since these are the calibration settings that are particular to each person's screens, the values will of course be different from user to user...mine are below.

thanks, for some stupid reason my touch seems to be out of sync with the actual touch, meaning if i click at the bottom of the screen the click happens in the middle, after hard reset this done seem to fix the problem at all, so am trying to figure a way to manually compensate for the alignment to bring the touch and the cursor together , seems my digitizer is faulty

even better am just trying to establish the logic here, my cursor is is higher than my actual touch, am trying to figure which amount of this whole string is responsible for that, i know there is X and Y to each corner including the middle so 5 points for 5 numbers i hope

Yes, I'm under the impression that each comma-separated pair of numbers represents a specific mapped coordinate on the screen, used to adjust for offset at each point.
The values listed look (at first glance) like they'd pretty much match 4 corners and a center-ish point if mapped out on a standard grid...a little trial and error should be able to generate a rectangle-shaped map. The trick is just knowing which corner is top-left...or wherever the numbers start from lol.
im sure im a little late but if you hold the volume up and down then tap the screen the screen alignment will pop up just for future reference this is also y that damn screen pops up when i take my phone out of my pocket to answer calls sometimes

[Q] Adding a value to the current hour

Is there ANY way to add a number (1) to the current hour? I've been trying to figure it out for hours but I'm not getting anywhere.
I've tried variations of this:
$#Dmm#>50&&#Dmm#<60?hour plus one is (#Dh#+1)$
Anyone?

Hi;
Here I've insert a code to add Day to Date:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2607763
Probably same syntax could work also for time ... but there is a BIG problem:
Zooper consider Date as a number then if I add 10 to 25th January I obtain 35th January!!! Then I can't use this for my purpose
I don't know if you will have the same problem also with Time.

Try it like this
Code:
$#Dmm#>50&&#Dmm#<60?(#Dh#+1)$
and it should work. Zooper seems to have a problem if you try to mix characters/text and math. If you want to have text AND math in one text module, split them up so you have something like this
Code:
hour plus one is $#Dmm#>50&&#Dmm#<60?(#Dh#+1)$
If you need the text also to be dependent on the conditional, you'll have to use it twice:
Code:
$#Dmm#>50&&#Dmm#<60?hour plus one is $$#Dmm#>50&&#Dmm#<60?(#Dh#+1)$

Need Date Calculation Help

I'm trying to make a 'days since' text display to show the number of days since my kid was born. His birth date was 04/10/2014. Today he is 511 days old but my widget says 220.
The string I'm using is: #D04102014Td#
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for any help you can offer.

I came across this thread with your reply...would it be possible to explain WHY this works? What is the reason for the additional characters you've added? I assume they are to represent hours and minutes which would mean the formula requires full qualification but I'd rather hear it from you than make the assumption and be wrong.
Thanks!!
I think zooper needs the time if the date is in another year.
