plug it in to charge for a few hours, then use adb to reboot into bootlaoder or recovery. Flash away from there.
Code:
adb reboot recovery

Hi sorry I can't remember when adb kicks in, maybe the fastboot commands become available earlier.

I just flashed a arhd rom a kernel and InfinitySound mod and then my phone was stuck in the htc quietly brilliant screen...
The main thing is i can't even enter the bootloader with "vol+power down" help please...
Keep pressing the power button for more then 5 second and you will see the 3 buttons blinking. After that phone will restart and then press volume down to enter in hboot.
Then look on xda a tool with witch you will flash a stock kernel.
Perhaps this is the solution for you

i tried it, but no luck... it still boots into the htc quietly brilliant screen.
Hold the power button to force a reboot. As soon as your HOX powers off press and hold vol down, keep holding until you enter hboot. It might take a few attempts
First boot can take awial I don't think your stuck its just loading

It's stuck not loading because I have waited 10 hours already. Also, I keep trying to get it into boot loader , but to no avail... tried 30 times already...
Without getting into the bootloader, there's nothing I can do...

Does your phone keeps rebooting?
If so, it sounds like you haven't flashed the correct boot.IMG
You need to flash the correct boot.IMG that is for the kernel you flashed.
-----
As for boot loader, why don't you just use the adb command?
adb reboot bootloader
As for the button combination not working, you need to hold both power & volume down at the 'exact same time', and don't release them until your boot loader screen shows - even if it does an extra reboot, keep them held!

I am having the same problem, and i forgot to backup my previous rom. I rooted, and unlocked my phone, then i tried to install the rom, it installed. however now it just stays in the spinning loading sign for CM10. Is there anyway of putting another rom on the >fake, ie internal> sd card, which cant get removed from the acctual phone? so then i can install that rom? i have tried reinstalling the rom but that didnt work

If you have cwm 5.8.4.0 you can mount the sd card as usb drive.
Don't forget to flash the boot.img that goes with the ROM.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
You are probably forgetting to flash boot.img using fastboot from your pc, from your description. After flashing boot.img, issue a
Fastboot erase cache
Or you will most likely get bootloops.
I've recently got the JB update so I installed it, or atleast tried. Because when I try to turn on my phone again it gets stuck on the HTC logo (White screen).
I think somehow my battery went down during the installation and now I can't access my phone anymore.
It's a clean phone, no costum ROM and I haven't rooted it in any way.
Is there a way to fix my problem? (Preferably withour rooting it.)
I tried holding the power and volume down buttons and then selecting recovery but that doesn't work as I just end up getting stuck on the black screen with the Red triangle.

Try going into HBOOT
Hold down Power button & volume down buttons together when the phone is switched off. This will take you into HBOOT.
Select Recovery using the volume down button and press power to select it.
Hopefully it is able to recover and re-flash the firmware.

Doh missed that bit Sorry to be of little help. Hopefully someone else can proffer a solution.
if it's an unrooted phone, HTC have been very good at fixing phones bricked during OTA in my experience (2 day turnaround)
When you see the phone with the red triangle before you want to enter the recovery press vol - and the power button.....or at least the vol - button. Can't recreate it as i am on a custom recovery. You will bypass the red triangle and will enter the recovery. Maybe a cache wipe wil do, or a factory reset !

I've tried the factory reset be just like the normal boot it gets stuck on the HTC logo.
Clearing the cache might work but doesn't your phone needs to be rooted for that?

I cant recall if wiping cache is an option in the stock recovery !?
One can erase cache using 'fastboot erase cache' after getting the phone to restart in fastboot mode. See here and go to the 'Try this first' section. Hope this helps.

Sounds like hboot version problem with JB upgrade, what version of HOX you have? what version of hboot? , maybe we can unlock your phone and recover the system with custom rom and then rollback to stock rom.

I just installed flashify and TWRP. When I let flashify reboot the phone, it stuck at the main boot logo. I can get it to briefly reboot with vol down + power, but it just hangs back at the same screen. I tried holding vol up + power + home during that brief period of time but nothing happened.
Any ideas?

I'm experiencing this too, I installed stock firmware and it is still doing this. I need to access recovery so I can clear cache and partition but this damn phone refuses to get to recovery mode. It'll go to download mode no problem, but trying to get to recovery mode is just impossible this way. Anybody???
I have a rooted One M8 here with a custom ROM and recovery that I have been trying to boot into recovery however every time I try the phone seems to crash, turn of and then won't boot. After about 15, 20 minutes the phone boots up again by itself. Anyone else ran into this problem before or any advice on a solution? Thanks.
You can get to bootloader okay?
If so, go into fastbootmode (connected to computer) and fastboot erase cache, and try installing TWRP again.

So what exactly worked, and what didn't? The way you've typed it, I can't tell:
You can boot into bootloader?
You were able to flash recovery?
You are able to get into recovery?
The ROM flashed successfully?
But then it failed to boot?
Also, what ROM?
What version TWRP (version number)?
Try another ROM. Be sure to do the default TWRP wipe (data, cache, Dalvik) before flashing ROM.
I can boot into the bootloader and into the system it's self but it takes maybe 15 to 20 minutes everytime the phone is turned of to start back up again and begin booting.
I'm not sure what version TWRP is as it been months since I flashed it and I can't check because I'm waiting on the phone to boot again.

So do I have this right: The phone turns itself off, will stay off 15-20 min; during which time you can't do anything until it starts to reboot itself?
What happens if you hold power button, or power + vol up for a minute or more? Do either of these force it to start booting, or no response until it boot on its own (15-20 min).

Yep that's right.

So I was trying to install TWRP on my phone. I have a Mac and was looking at some online guide. I had a pin set-up, and this is what I did:
1. Installed ADB and fast boot
2. Unlocked the boot loader on the phone
3. Check the terminal commands that the device is connected correctly
4. Had the ABD and TWRP img files on the phone.
5. Tried to fast boot TWRP.
What is happening now is that I'm stuck on a boot loop of a TWRP screen, the screen if flashing and won't load. I'm guessing to let the battery die out over night
I was looking at a few threads and some say that I should flash the factory image. Everyone is saying flash the stock file... However, I can't even get the phone to turn off or go back into bootload mode for my computer to recognize the phone.
Any tips?
Hold volume down and the power button down. Keep it held down might take sometime but you should get to the loader. boot twrpRC1 flash rc2 after getting in twrp. You could also start fresh by fishing factory once you get back to bootloader
Long press power button to shut it off
or press power button and vol down together and will take you to fatsboot mode and from there you can use volume button to seltect bootloader or recovery
I don't do pin's so I'm not familiar with the hangups involved with those and TWRP.
But I guess the first thing I'd do is remove the pin lock.
Then power down phone.
Wait 30 seconds!!!!!
Press power + volume down until phone powers on, then let go.
Should boot right into bootloader.
Fastboot boot twrp.
Install TWRP from the fastbooted TWRP.
I'm not familiar with the Mac process but on a PC we need to fastboot into TWRP from an image file on our computer first, and then flash the file on the phone.
I recommend keeping a copy of the boot signer on your device, flashing this fixes most of these types of issues I have found, especially with new rom upgrades etc.
Did you let the phone fully boot into the system after unlocking the bootloader, or did you immediately try and boot twrp?
I've had this problem twice before, both after a fastboot unlock, and I had to let it fully boot into the system before proceeding

Hey I think that was it. I immediately tried to boot twrp without letting the system fully boot.
Thanks you all for the support. Go XDA!
The first question everyone should be asking is if OP was on the O Beta previously.. If that is the case Op needs to flash the factory image in both slots.
Put phone into the bootloader
Flash all bat
Put phone into the bootloader
fastboot --set-active=other
fastboot reboot bootloader
flash all bat
fastboot boot twrp
Even if OP wasnt on the O beta, this should fix the issue.
After successfully flashing Oreo, I am seeing the same flashing/looping TWRP (twrp-3.0.2-0-RC1).
Long press of Pwr restarted the phone.
Rinsed & repeat a few times.
Any thoughts to flash TWRP (temporarily)?
