[Q] Back Button Broken

Hi, i would like to reflash my xperia arc but my back button does not work ,is there another way to get in flashmode?
You have no choice but to flash a stock kernel via fastboot then install stock ROM as a update.zip

Or unpack the whole FTF file and install every .sin file via fastboot, I believe it should work that way, though haven't tested myself.

Bricked Xperia M

Hi!
After installing xposed and Wifi Hack for the google play to work on reverse tethering. I used the update/install function on framework pannel. After it the phone simply rebooted itself and now it stops on the boot animation. On the middle of the screen there these color blury lines. PC doesn't recognize the phone. It will charge up the battery but system doesn't even see the phone. (I am using Win7 and a stock rom 4.1.2 JB)
Just reinstall stock firware via flashtool or via sony update service

Your phone is not breaked i think it's just a problem with the rom, you can reflash the current rom (wipe data & everything). If it's important to you to keep the current rom and if you have unlocked Bootloader and have Recovery, then go to the Recovery and flash Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip located in Internal SD root.

If you already unlocked Bootloader, you can flash a CWM integrated stock kernel from here and flash it via Flashtool or fastboot, then turn on the phon and when LED turns on press Vol+ side buttons to turn the LED blue, then select "Install from Zip" and select Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip . then reboot and thats it!

Flashtool doesn't have Xperia M in “Flashtool-drivers”
Bro in the flashtool driver installer just select the flashmode drivers and xperia p,xperia u drivers because you won't find xperia m drivers in that.

Hello Abrakader225,
the easiest way to fix this is to reflash the phone using Sony Update Service or you can use Flashtool to flash a firmware file.
You can find flashtool at this url:
http://www.flashtool.net/index.php
Simply install it and after that go to the drivers folder of Flashtool and install the Fastboot, Flashmode and device specific drivers. After you've done that, download this FTF file and put it in Flashtools firmware folder:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701246
Then open Flashtool and press the bolt, and then pick Flashmode and select the firmware file, then press flash and put your phone in Flashmode.
I hope that my answer helped you and I hope that you'll get your phone up and running soon, have a great day!

processing loader.sin error! Urgent help needed!

I got into a bootloop recently due to unlocking my bootloader. I was really worried, so I installed CWM using fastboot on my phone. Then the bootloop also stopped, only the sony logo appears for a small time and then the phone goes black out.I can still boot into recovery.
I came to know that flashing using stock ftf will solve my problem, but now on flashing it gives the error that processing loader.sin completed with errors and then the flashing aborts. Please anybody help me!:crying: I have the latest version of flashtool and have downloaded C1905 15.1.A.1.9 global ftf.
You can try using Emma (a Sony restoration tool) to restore the latest firmware.
Alternatively you can boot to recovery, mount sd card(make sure all pc drivers are installed), download a custom rom like cm/aosp or stock rom (not the ftf but zip), load it to the sd card and then install that via recovery.
Will emma work on unlocked bootloader phones(like mine)? Where can I get stock rom in zip format?

There is no zip of stock rom. What he says is download a custom rom like cm11 and flash it then flash the ftf file again.

I tried it, still the same error. BTW I have flashed CM11 now and I don't think that there is any need for the stock rom now............

Custom Rom

Hi guys,
I need help on how to choose and flash the best custom rom that will be best for my Xperia z 4.4.4 kitkat without encountering any future problems. I'm rooted but my bootloader is locked..
Unlock Bootloader First
Hey ,
I suggest you to unlock your bootloader first by using sony Flashtool . This is a great Software , it automates everything , all you have to do is download the flashtool and connect your phone in flashmode and unlock your bootloader in just 1 click.
Then, Install CWM recovery , Search XDA for CWM for your phone i am sure you"ll find it and then flash that .img file
Then , copy your desired custom ROM into yuor internal/sdcard and flash using CWM
Flashtool: http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/
search for your phone in the supported devices if it is one of the supported device then flash using this software or else download this
Flashtool by Androxyde : http://www.xperiafirmware.com/compo...2-uncategorised/30-androxyde-xperia-flashtool
Custom Roms (STABLE) : https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=yuga&type=stable
Other Custom ROms : http://www.idroidspace.com/best-custom-roms-for-sony-xperia-z/
That's it!!! good day

help with stock firmware

Sooo, my backup is gone :crying:
I've tried restoring the stock firmware with flashtool, but i just cant seem to get it working :/
I go into the flashtool and select the firmware but nothing happends (i am in fastboot)
- Is there a stock firmware that is flashable in TWRP?
1. you need to see proper flashing tutorial,
2. once you download stockrom via XPERIFIRM (last button (right) on FLASHTOOL )
3. create ftf file (automatically)
4. now select firmware and when flashtool prompt, connect device in FLASHMODE (not fastboot mode)
it will flash
make sure you have the LATEST version of flashtool and all the drivers are installed

1. usually autodownloads via Xperifirm goes at C:\Users\<user>\.flashTool\firmwares, however if this is not the problem and you have
2. two firmware (android 6 & 7) both are at C:\Users\<user>\.flashTool\firmwares and you are able to see only 6 this could mean
(a) the firmware of 7 is not complied properly
(b) downloading firmware again from zero, may help
3. reinstalling flashtool also helps
4. make sure you are on latest flashtool and xjar files are replaced

I have done all of the above. I can see all the firmwares in the older versions of flashtool but none in the new version (the firmwares are located in the correct folder)
- the only thing i can see when i point the flashtool at the firmwares folder is "Sony Xperia z5 premium" and none of the firmwares it's supposed to show me
i cant seem to be able to attach an image so i hope this dropbox link to the image will do
- this is the only thing i see with the new version
