Android device manager is a very cool and useful tool that has been created for android phones.
However, my problem is:
When I try using the "lock" option on android device manager, my phone does not lock unless i have it in the correct profile.
I am using CyanogenMod 10.1.3, and I also use profiles.
I have two main profiles: 1)Lock and 2)unlock. Obviously, the lock one is the default locking, and the unlock profile, is insecure.
My question is: will google find a way to override the profile system and lock your phone no matter what profile it is in, whether or not you have your phone in an insecure or secure profile?
Let me know your thoughts!

I have installed this Dashclock extension and it is asking me to enable notification access for it to work. Where is this setting? This extension works on my phone which is running CM10.2, on my phone I had to manually enable the app via notification access, so I assume I have to do the same here, but I don't know where this setting is?
Hi,
did you find a solution? I've tried quick shortcut maker and found the menu, but it opens just for a second and then changes to wlan settings panel.
I need to make changes here, but how?

I'm working on disabling the lock screen and I'm running out of ideas.
I can find it using ES File Explorer and I can kill tasks - can anyone figure out what I need to do to get rid of the annoying lock screen?!
Could I sideload an update that would essentially make Lock Screen.apk an empty app?
Does it work on FireTV for changing settings?
I can navigate to view everything except the entropy menu which causes a close.
I can even see a hidden menu with phone and wifi settings appear.
I need to test some unique stuff and I want to avoid any possible boot loops.
It says Hardware Acceleration and forced GPU rendering are disabled despite me modding these with other root apps.
I'd figure enabling these through Pimp My Rom could make them work and enhance performance greatly on such an old firmware version.
Would anyone know if the Galaxy S9 natively supports user profiles so that multiple users can login and use the same phone with their unique settings and apps? If not would anyone be able to recommend an application that could accomplish this?
The functionality has been disabled for stock Samsung ROMs long time ago (if it was ever enabled). There were some discusions in the past regarding this and what I remember is that you need root for this to work. You have to edit build.prop and include the lines:
fw.show_multiuserui=1
fw.max_users=n (where "n" is a number indicating the max users on device - should be at least 2)
Alternative is to flash an AOSP based ROM that has the function enabled.

I unfortunately cannot root the device as it will be provisioned for company use :/ is there a launcher that could help to accomplish this?
Sorry, none I know. The functionality is deep embeded in the OS, a launcher would not be enough to accomplish that
You could however use dual accounts for certain apps or mail and also use Secure Folder to lock out personal/private data. This way you will have some sort of multi user since the secure folder keeps data in separate encrypted form
