I don't think they made the official from xiaomi it self. But if you can find something like this online http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Uniq...-Mi3-Case-0-7mm-Slim-Aluminum/2028909867.html . I ordered one of this, but not arrive yet.
Arent they look UGLY? Xiaomi's Original Flip cover is way much better than those, which are being sold in market.
Go for the original flip cover by Xiaomi. My personal suggestion.

I really like the official flip case, apart from..
1. No magnetic close on the flap
2. Gives little protection from drops
To address my second concern I am thinking of using the official vent/mesh case in conjunction with the official flip case.
Has anyone tried this combination yet? If so does it work/look ok?
Alternatively can anyone recommend an alternative book flip case. Ideally I would like a magnetic close, genuine leather, some drop protection & stylish looks. I know I'm asking a lot but I don't want to settle for anything less.

(EDIT) had a reply saying the official case combination don't work together. Alternative suggestions very welcome now. I forgot to say I have a white s3 and I'm looking for a matching white case that opens like a book (like the official one but with more protection).

(i recommend you zenus case or sgp cases or hoco cases as an alternative cover).

Nope, doesn't fit. Flip case is too thick and mesh won't clip on.

Look at picture 10 in the review link above, it does seem like you can fold it all the way back and hold it that way.

Price gouging or wat?
Yeah, that price is almost 1/4 of what I paid for the phone. Hopefully an unofficial Flip Cover with working magnet unlock mechanism will appear as an alternative.
Only in white though, still waiting for a black one.

Hope so as nearly 20 quid too dear I think.
In the meantime I'm just using a 2 quid flip case from ebay and installed an app to make the phone unlock automatically when I open the case as I hate having to press the power button all the time :good:
There is a nice case on ebay for £5 although it's in China. I'm not allowed to post a link as I'm new here but if you search for this 'Nillkin Fresh PU Leather Skin Cover Hard Back Case for Motorola MOTO G XT1032' you will find it.
It also lock/unlocks the screen which is what I'm looking for.

I've got the yellow/green one and love the way it looks, save for one thing: the felt on the inside of the cover is hard to clean. How do you guys get dirt off of it?

I have the same Flip Cover i bought locally, it was good enough to protect your phone. But i still recommend the original Moto G Flip cover, which i just received today from Amazon.
A friend has a big scratch in his Moto G because of Sand between the display and the shell. Thats the reason why i wont buy it.

Hi. I'm using the white motorola flip cover and i have to say I'm satisfied with its material quality and also fitting.
My problem right now, the fitting is too hard to open so i cannot change the back case and change sim kad.
Does anyone here know how to safely crack open the flip cover?
I had the same problem, the first time it was very hard to remove the back of the flipcover but a butter knife did the job without any damage

I have the white one, and while i like the case - DO NOT GET WHITE
the texture of the case picks up lint and dust easily and it's not so easy to clean. get a colored variant

I got mine from Amazon UK for £13.98, but I am going to sell this, white easily gets dirty. I bought 3, White, Black and Turquoise. Currently using the Turquoise, I will use Black later or sell it as well.

official flip cover is good but u will have the sides of phone exposed. and i like the auto wake up screen when we open the flip n locks instantly upon lid close.

I'm using the black flip case from OnePlus.
I think it's a really nice case. The material is nice and smooth to the touch, it feels very premium in my opinion. It's quite thin, so it doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone. The cover closes completely, and also folds back completely. All four sides are exposed, but I don't really see it as a drawback at all. I'm perfectly happy with this case.

No, they need to have a magnet in a certain spot for it to work.
