Why make a new thread asking the same thing you asked in the unbrick service thread?

Hello, I'm new to the forum. So I'll try to explain my story as detailed as possible So,
This morning I decided to root my evo running 2.3 with REVOLUTIONARY s-off.
Then I flashed superuser on the evo. it worked perfectly. And I was rooted. But that wasn't the problem. The problem started when I tried to flash a custom rom on my evo. The rom was The kingdom rom, by virus. I put it on my ad card and went into recovery, recovery seemed a little different. It had a REVOLUTIONARY logo in recovery. I flashed the rom, it was succesful, I rebooted the device and I noticed it would just stay on the first white boot screen, the one that states htc evo 4g. I left it there for 10 minutes but it still didn't leave the boot. I took out the battery and went back into recovery, I reflashed the rom and rebooted the device but no luck, the same thing persisted. So I went BACK into recovery and mounted the USB hboot with my sd card, I then put a PC36IMG.zip and flashed that because I thought that would put everything back to stock. I rebooted the phone, put to my surprise, the pc36img file was loaded before I did anything on my boot loader screen.... It was flashed and it was rebooted, but no luck. I went back to my boot loader and tried to go back into recovery but it doesn't work!!! all I see now when I choose recovery is a picture of a phone with an exclamation point. This is weird but I think I'm partially rooted because in my boot loader it is s-off and has a REVOLUTIONARY boot logo.... Please help, I booted my device and all I see is the first boot screen, and I've seen that for 2 hours and 24 minutes.... Help me please!!!
Running an RUU replaces the recovery with the stock recovery, which is pretty much not a recovery. I believe if while on that screen (the red triangle recovery screen) if you hold both volume buttons at the same time you'll be given some options. Anyway, you just need to flash a recovery.
Here is Amon Ra: http://db.tt/WP0beNa
It's a PC36IMG file. Remove the other one and flash that. Then boot into recovery, wipe boot, data, cache, dalvik, sd-ext, and .android_secure. Then flash the rom or try a different one.

Ok, so I have a question that either does not exist on Google or that I just don't know how to explain.
My Kindle Fire 2 was flashed a while back with a stock version of Android Jellybean 4.2.2, until today. I made a complete backup of everything inside TWRP and transferred all of those backup files to my laptop. I then flashed a newer version of TWRP, version 2.6.3.1. After that, i flashed the newest version of Cyanogenmod 11, Android 4.4.4.
Anyways, I got to adjusting the settings and told it to allow me to pick between rebooting into recovery or normal mode when i pressed the reboot button on the power menu.
Here is my problem though. At one point, I told Cyanogenmod to reboot me into recovery, and ever since, my Kindle will only let me boot into the TWRP recovery area, regardless of what I tell it to load in the bootloader.
How can I just get it to boot to the normal OS? I've tried reflashing the recovery and reflashing Cyanogenmod onto it. I just don't know what to do because I don't know exactly why this is happening.
I've tried wiping the /data partition too, but to no use. I still am able to wipe internal data partition, however I don't know how it will respond to that. I mean... Isn't that where TWRP is stored? I don't want to lose my recovery partition where I have no way to get back.
If it comes to it, could I replace my recovery partition with Cyanogenmod?
I am still able to use ADB and I'm able to push files. (So far)
Possible solution

I assuming you have a TWRP bootloop problem? Like everytime you reboot it, it shows you the kindel fire logo (organge/white), then to the blue/white logo, and then instead of the normal android ui, it boots into TWRP? If this is the case, have you tried selecting the 'bootmode' option during the kindle fire blue/white logo screen? That was my solution when I had the recovery bootloop problem recently.

I tried telling it to boot normal during that screen. Still goes to TWRP.

Hello there, I'm a bit new to this, but I wanted to try flashing a custom rom. I was using So I chose Carbonn 4.4.4 rom. Prior to that I installed doomslord CMW recovery 6.0.30 and did a backup of my Rom. Then I booted into recovery, wiped the data and flashed the carbonn Rom. Everything went fine, then I realized I hadn't flashed the gapps. So I rebooted my phone into recovery (Pressing the volume up button at the 'sony' logo). However it doesn't boot into recovery. The led light turns blue and it's stuck on the Sony logo. The only way to get out of it is the power down the device manually by pressing the power button and volume up button.
Rebooting into recovery only causes this problem. Otherwise it boots normally into the carbon Rom. How do I restore my backup? Since I can't boot into recovery?

The latest Carbon ROM has recovery which doesn't work on Our phone. Follow the procedure here to flash a working recovery.
Tried that but cant seem to work. Besides it requires busy box to be installed which I cant seem to install. Any apk for that matter cant be installed. It shows "Cant open file"

if You are on latest version of carbon, You wouldn't need to root as the ROM is pre rooted. Are You sure Your apk file are good? Because in any case, You must be able to install at least an apk file. Did You try messing with the ROM before?
Hello guys,
Just got my m9 a few hours ago, decided to root,s-off etc
Anyway, I did something stupid and Im stuck on the android logo.
Here is what I did.
-I updated the device through the stock recovery, there was another update but I didnt install i.
- unlocked the bootloader, phone rebooted and was working fine
-installed costume recovery(TWRP), I didnt boot into it because there wasnt and option like in the m8 to boot in recovery from bootloader.
-I reset the device and installed the update(stupid move I knew the stock recovery is not there)
- I got into TWRP and the updated failed so I had the SUbinary.zip so I plashed it and decided to reboot
-Here I got a note that theres no OS installed so I installed android Revolution, I placed it in the sdcard prior
- after flashing it I pressed on reboot yet I get no OS installed and now im stuck on the HTC logo.
BTW I can boot into boot loader but it says sd card not mounted (64GB)
Edit:
I entered into recovery, flashed AR again, its installs everything normally but I realized on the installation log last line : set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
still I get no OS installed
I got it working now. Anyone whos having this problem just use the beta recovery because the official one is broken
here's a like https://basketbuild.com/devs/Captain_Throwback/One (M9)/Recovery
just flash it normally and install the rom again.
now i will have to go back to stock recovery and download the OTA the flash TWRP again -.-
will the OTA work on the ARHD and stock recovery or thats not possible?

I dont think the OTA will work.
either find the latest full RUU and flash it, or an older RUU, flash it, then do all the available OTAs.
Then redo TWRP and ARHD.

Thats good to hear, sometimes TWRP will say that there isn't any OS installed but actually there is just reboot the device.
After updating through the OTA I installed ARHD and I got the same error again with the latest recovery. I think its because when I did wipe the data there root directory is changing make the phone unable to boot or there is a problem with the rom although it flashed before the update.
Here is a fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...h-recovery-t3066720/post59934542#post59934542
If it didn't work try to format data in the recovery and reboot. Make sure you have a ROM or back up on an SD card.
Since your phone is running I would suggest you to S-off because from what I understand is RUU (for Europe) will only work with S-off
