Hey gang, just picked up my 8.4 tab S and noticed it has NF9 firmware base installed. Is there a place I can download this? I'm asking because I want to root it but also want to be able to restore back to factory if need be through Odin.
I see NF7, can I just restore to that and do a system update?
Thanks all!!

I'm trying to install a sprint rom on my vzw nexus phone (to setup page plus).
I've tried perfect rom, it complains about the build.prop. When I change the build.prop references to toroplus to toro, it fails to install (no explanation).
I've also tried installing the stock from Odin, and Nandroid, with no progress. Can someone point me to a sprint rom I can install on my phone( any rom with the diag tools would be ok)?
The phone is in a rooted vzw rom with the bootloader unlocked.
You can't do that. The rom needs to match the phone verison
Vzw phones need Vzw roms

Generally looking for ways to bypass safety mechanisms is a bad idea.
Is there a way to change the splash screen on the S4?
Because some people confuse splash screen with bootanimation, I am talking about the screen that comes at boot like

It's on my computer. But I've already taken a look inside the ramdisk for the kernel and it's not there. Ktoonsez thinks it's inside the bootloader. So we may never be able to change it.

Which type of root do you use?? Maybe Kingo??
I think there's a limitation of 4.4.2 for apps to access the ext sd card...
