[Q] Got a new Huawei P6 but i need help

Hello everybody.
Just gotva new P6 as gift. The phone is awesome however it came with the chinese version. I dont even gave Google Play installed.
Are there any international firmware versions out there for this phone ?
I am really new to this, please help me out.

Btw, check first what version of P6 you have P6-U06 or U00 then install B125 what is on that link

Download 20130812 package for android 4.2.2 (gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip),
unpack the zip, cd to system/app/ , copy the GmsCore.apk and NetworkLocation.apk to your phone's /system/app/ ,
then reboot your phone.
You can copy other *.apk to /system/app/ if you like.

You can take this cellphone to a cellphone store, they have the system.

[Q] Huawei P6 from scratch

Greeting everyone!
After reading for 4h the forums I realice that I need and Step by Step for stupidity program. Im starting to go in a "make it by yourself" world and need some help.
First of all; my interest for changing my firmware is because the operator sorfware on my P6 (Movistar Venezuela) blocks the message for Unlock code, so I hope after de upgrade, with the code, migrate to another company. Second well who dont want new improvements in the phone??

So, I suppose that I just simply cant put an B708 on dload, what is the upgrade step by step to turn my flintstone firmware to the newest?
I already download the B132 and B510 in my laptop, is this the correct form to a succesfully update?

I just try in this orden.
B111 - B132 - B508SP02 - B708 and finally B708 repack with no issue. Stable and smooth!
Ah!! my friends, after all the mess, my phone ended UNLOCKED!

[Solution] Attention D855K Owners! (Australia)

Dear Denizens of XDA!
I've finally fixed my phone upon giving up hope a few months ago. In short points, here is my story:
Installed Freedom.apk (by-pass in-app purchases)
Updated to the latest firmware without removing apk
Could no longer connect to official Google servers (ie playstore, gmail) BUT internet worked
Went to LG for quote on fix, stated that I need to replace motherboard ($250)
Gave up for months until TODAY.
Disclaimers:
I did not develop any of these programs but merely stumbled upon them. I do hope that this solution works for you but I cannot guarantee anything.
Do these at your OWN risk. I cannot and will not be held liable for any further damages caused by following my steps.
My phone:
LG G3 D855K from Telstra August 2014.
(crappy) 2GB ram, 16GB storage model.

I'll give special thanks to these people; I did NOT receive any consult or speak to them but they have provided the tools in which I used to fix my LG G3 which would no longer connect to the Playstore and other important Google services. Many thanks to:

'How I did it':
1 - Download and install the LG USB drivers from [Link 1]
2 - Download and extract [Link 2]
3 - Download your relevant LG G3 Firmware from [Link 3]! Type in your IMEI code to find the exact software/firmware that you require.
4 - Copy the downloaded .kdz file (should be ~1GB) into the same folder as the [Link 2].

7.5 - Please note that the language settings are not necessary. I've simply set it to English so I could read the messages/notifications.
8 - LG Software will pop-up again and let it do its own thing.
9 - An error message of Server couldn't be connected or something of the like will appear. Do NOT press exit.
10 - Look at your phone and you'll see that the firmware updating logo/downloading.
11 - Once your phone reaches 100%, the program on the computer may freeze and be required to be shut down. (This is okay once it's complete).
12 - Allow your phone to reboot, this may take 5-10 minutes.
13 - You'll get the applications being optimized.
14 - Just before you press start the phone may reboot, that's fine as well.
15 - Enjoy!

Unfortunately, I did not expect this to work for me so I do not have any video footage of me actually attempting this procedure.
If you have any other questions or queries please do leave a comment below. I am not an avid user of XDA but will try and respond when I can do so.

The only thanks I would like to receive if this works is if you can download the firmware from [Link 3], keep a backup, and re-upload it somewhere to share with other users in need.
If you do decide to re-upload, please do keep the details of the firmware.

I know this is a couple of months old but wanted to say thanks for posting this - had a G3 stuck on the firmware update screen, couldn't boot into download mode etc... Took a while searching and installing about 26 different flash tools but finally this method worked. Cheers!

And I know I'm pretty late to reply but I'm glad it helped you as well.
I did the same thing as you and took me a while of researching to find a solution. Albeit I've now jumped ships and no longer own the LG G3.

I discovered that this site (LG Mobile) is, in fact, not responding properly to the browser file request ... but the files are there.
I used Xtreme Download Manager to download it. Just manually input the desired file link ... and it'll do its magic!

I'm a new here... On Polish Forum I didnt get any some answer so Im writing here. I Hope U will help me...

I had a p6 with ROM B108 (4.2.2 J Bean) and my updater didn't saw a new updates for my Phones... I had to install B125 , later 132 (downloaded from some webs sites) and now I'm user of B520 (4.4.2 KK). Ask: Why updater didnt saw a new updates ??

I'm user of Huawei Ascend P6 with ROM B520 and EmUI 2.3. Phone good work's, but I have question. What is the best firmware (ROM) for p6 ??

the b520 is the actual official rom/firmware for the p6 in europe and is one of the best working stable firmwares for this device..
if it works good for you then enjoy it as it is..
if you want to try some other firmwares (custom roms), then look inside the p6 section on this forum (you will find some good one)..

1) Why My updater didnt saw a new updates before installing a B520 ?

2)When installed B520 I got some Spanish Apps's and My logo was changed when I turn a phone.
Version of ROM: P6-U06V100R001C00B520 - its recommended for Spanis or what ? From where these spanish app come ?
3) Do my Updater will find in some time a new updates or I will have to install a new updates 'on my own' ?

1) I think only Huawei can answer this one
2) Where did you download the update file from - some third-party site right, not Huawei's website?
3) As long as Huawei release them & there is no problem checking (from your side), you should be able to still receive OTA updates (i.e. checking from within your phone: Settings > Update).
Try this: check for OTA updates using the Huawei HiCare app (if you need to download & install it, search for Hicare in the Play Store or click here) - once installed, check in both these places in the app:
HiCare app > Me tab > Check for updates
HiCare app > Service tab > OS Upgrade Early Adopters
Please return to let us know if any of the above worked, which will help other users with the same issue.

2) I tried to download from this site dl.huaweinews but this link dont work... dont know why, I checked this on few computers and problem is the same... The website is loading... loading and loading... and later... ?
"This site is unreachable"... Check Your internet connection, Firewall and etc...
I downloaded B512 from carbontesla.com- It works. I installed any updates and when My Phone is turn on... I see a logo Huawei and later... LightBlue with logo "Moviestar" (Dont know what is this), the same was when I downloaded file from site ( huaweiblog.de When I installed B512 later I INSTALLED B520 BY MY UPDATER IN MY PHONE AND THE SAME... By turn on a phone, light blue screen with Moviestar logo... I checked it and in updater was writing.. B520 for North-Eeastern Europe... the same, light blue and logo Moviestar...
3) At my site (Huawei.pl) the updates are older like B108 or B111 - no more...
Ok, but now... What if the problem will be the same like in before installing B512 ? I explain it... What if my phone wont search a new updates ?? When I was at B112 my phones didnt searcherd a new up and I had to install (by downloaded from forums file) ...

[Help requested] How to update

Hi all,
I had unlocked bootloader and rooted my Honor 7X Indian version a long time ago. Since then I could not check xda and neither remember the tools I used to do the same.
I had received a notification for OTA update to firmware BND-AL10C675B161CUSTC675D001 for size 482 Mb. when I try to download and install it through phone, it boots into recovery and gives an error message.
Current firmware is:BND-AL10C675B141
Can someone pls guide me how can upgrade to latest firmware?

That is still a nougat rom. I think there is slightly newer version still on nougat, but several more with update to oreo.
Either way you can use HWOTA to to do FULL-OTA updates. . Having root is blocking you from taking the ota in a regular way, as of now.

That is normal to have the strange file names.
Afaik , you can flash direct to that version, as long as it is always the fullota.
And for quickest response, join this telegram group. We have many, many knowledgeable members , all of them are helpful.
