[Q] Developer options. - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I am having a nightmare finding the developer options on my tab S 8.4 (SM-T705). I have enabled it by pressing build number 7 times and had the pop up stating that it is enabled, yet I cannot for the life of me find the menu. Does anybody have any idea where I am going wrong?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply
It's really weird because it is not there. That is where it is found on my phone and my old tab 3 but it's nowhere to be seen on the Tab S.
I have rebooted and it's still not there. I have also tried to enable again by pressing build number 7 times but I get a pop up saying "no need, developer mode has already been enabled." I even factory reset to see if that would sort it but still the same thing.
hmmm.. back to the drawing board i reckon..

Were you able to solve this? im having the same problems

It's a firmware base issue.
Update manually using Odin T705XXUX1ANJ3 (Russian CSC) and "hey presto".
Download from sammobile or samsung-updates

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab Kids SM-T2105 Problem

Hi there.
I am new in the forum. Thanks ind advance for any help you can provide me.
Here's the issue:
We just bought the new "Kids" Version. It came with 2 accounts, the normal mode and the kids mode. The kids mode was accessible through a "Kids mode" icon in the normal mode.
I really don't know what my wife did, but she erased the "kids mode" icon and that account is not accessible anymore. Still, I can search for the kids apps and they still show up.
I got two different error messages. An "error 210" and the "Unfortunately the Setup launcher has stopped" (or similar. I don't have the tab here with me)
I thought my only choice here was to download the firmware it came with it, which is T2105UEAMK3-XAR, and re-install it. But KIES won't let me install it, since it displays the "Your firmware is up to date" message. And Samsung doesn't have an official firmware download anywhere. I also talked to an online Samsung representative, who directed me to perform a hard reset. Still, back to factory settings, the "kids mode" icon didn't appear. So he told me to schedule a service. But my daughter won't get any happier if I send out her beloved toy for a week or two.
This is my first venture (or issue) with an Android device. I have found a seemingly endless numbers of video tutorials and the likes, but still, I don't want to mess up with it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated -specially by my daughter
Thank you.

[Q] really need help with rooting

first off, I am sorry for the many posts ans questions about this but i cant get any solid answers or help. I have tried every thing suggested and still no results. when I go into about phone at the bottom (i forget what it says) but the answer says "custom" I have ran every version of odin and have tried, CF-Auto-Root-hltetmo-hltetmo-smn900t.tar.md5 , also N900TUVUBMI7_VEGA.tar.md5, also N900TTMBBMI7_CSC.tar.md5, and have tried different cords , ports, turned off all security's,. I got into developer mode and checked the usb debugging box but I don't have the option in security to change write privileges.. when I run odin sometimes it will say reset, sometimes it says pass but only once did it reboot the phone, but I have no super user app in the drawer and in odin mode it says write protection: Enable (in grey) it also says current binary :custom, system status :custom, know kernel lock 0*0, and knox warranty void: 0*1
I think I have gotten down all the info I can think of that may help someone figure out what the problem is. I would really appreciate any help or ideas you may have and appreciate your time helping me. I will be sure to hit the thanks button.
also I should when I do reboot my phone it will still go to my launcher but constantly a message ( unfortunately direct pen input has stopped) I have to to hit ok then I can press on something one time then it locks up for a few seconds until the message pops up again and I hit ok then I can press another button, and I have to keep doing this until I get where I'm going. ( a text message would take 20 minutes to write) the phone locks up until that message pops up. I went into settings and turned off everything that has to do with the pen but no help.
also if anyone still has one of the first CF TAR files if youi could get that to me I could give that a try. i got my phone when it first came out and am still on all the older versions of everything so that might work thanks

[Q] I cannot find USB Debugging.

I just rooted my Find 7 using from this thread
Although instead of following the small section at the bottom to root I just did it within the TWRP recovery section bit, it seems to have worked I have root access, (I'm a complete noob at rooting/flashing let me know if that was stupid!)
My question arises from when I loaded up Titanium backup it asked me to turn on usb debugging but try as I might I canno find it anywhere within the settings is this normal for the find 7?
Thanks!
It's a little tricky, you have to go into settings, about the phone and there you'll have to tap multiple on build number till the count down finishes now go a step back and choose more there you'll find the developer settings! You'll finally find the usb debugging inside the developer options.
Cheers

Wow thanks!
Hopefully anyone else searching will now see this!
Please note that this is the way to go about getting developer settings for all the Samsung phones too... As I don't own any other brands I'm not going to say its how you do all android devices.....
It's the same.

Smt900 12.2 store demo mode

A friend on mines recently purchased a second hand smt900 tab pro.
it's got a live store demo firmware on it. Any ideas how I can get ride of this? Will it be a simple root and flash custom roms or will it be a little more tricky?
Obviously i don't wanna try and be the helpful friend and try to stick in the software and root that I know I can do if this software is gonna cause problems. It works fine now but won't update.
Cheers
Ian
I'd try Odin with a stock ROM
Apparently the demo modes locked on and it keeps reverting back no matter what. That's just what I am reading. I was wondering of anybody has flashed before I start messing about
Anybody? Help please Hello.
Pretty helpful information cheers people [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]
Pretty sure this is what I used on mine. It's been a while but I used it recently on a tab 4 10"
-Find and open Samsung Retail Mode app.
-Tap on Configuration Settings.
-A new window will appear. Enter the password 5444 and click OK.
-The Admin Menu will be unlocked.
-Now turn off “disable the factory data reset”.
-Enter the password M729Q16K8546 and then click OK.
-You will be prompted to Factory Reset the phone/tablet.

SM-T320 - can't find OEM Unlock switch in Developer Options

I feel like this should be obvious, but I'm unable to find the OEM Unlock switch under Developer Options on a Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, SM-T320.
I must have found it once before because I rooted and installed Android 7.1 on the same model (different tablet) last fall. But for whatever reason, it's eluding me on this one. Apparently, on Samsung devices, that switch is hidden; to reveal it, you need to turn off automatic downloads and auto date and time, restart, open Developer Options, and so on, but there is no switch for automatic date and time anywhere on this menu, which is unlike any other I've seen on an Android device.
I have USB Debugging checked, but the tablet won't root, and it seems that unlocking the bootloader is the sticking point. And it's driving me nuts. As noted, I must have done this with the other tablet, but I can't find that switch on that tablet either -- and it would look different anyway, since it's not the tablet's stock Android.
Please help? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I found another web page on which it simply says to check USB Debugging. I had done this before, but unchecked and rechecked it to be sure. Then I tried to root once more, using the file:
CF-Auto-Root-mondrianwifi-mondrianwifixx-smt320.tar
...which worked on my other tablet last fall and again tonight. Still, the tablet isn't rooted. I cannot figure out what I'm missing.
Well, a few more hours and attempts later, the tablet still wasn't rooting, so I started the tablet in recovery mode and reset it to factory before trying it again. This time, it worked! Clearly, there was something (an app, perhaps?) that was getting in the way. I still don't know where that OEM Unlock switch is, but I no longer care.
From feeble memory, I recall having one tablet (only one, an SM-T520) that would only do what I wanted by first flashing it back to stock. From there, everything was fine. I have another SM-T520 and a couple of SM-T320's, any of which couldn't care less what I do to them.
I guess that's the fail-safe position. Since I was installing a newer build anyway, it didn't matter. It just seemed odd since the other SM-T320 rooted just fine without that extra step. I wish I'd thought of it sooner, but that's water under the bridge.
BTW, if those other tablets work and you're interested in selling one of them, drop me a PM. And if not, no worries; I just thought I'd ask.
Do you have a link as to where I can download twrp flash recovery for tab pro 8.4? It seems like it needs a tar.md5 file.
Thank you!
