Folder Locker PRO
A Windows utility to hide content.Simply open the program, insert all the content you wish to hide in the "Private" folder that was made in the same directory the program was run from, then select the "Hide folder" option.
It will then prompt you for a password you wish to use when you want to unhide the folder.
To unlock it, select the "Unhide folder" option, enter the password and the "Private" folder will become visible again
NOTE:The program must be in the same directory as the private folder was in before you hid it.

Protected Folder is also a good alternative...
Just tried it, while it does what it says it does. I must say it was a little unclear. The folder may be "hidden". But going to folder properties and hiding the folder manually does the exact same thing. The problem I can see is that most computer savy people have their computers set up to show "hidden files and folders". Which totally defeats the purpose of this app.

would you like me to make the program move the folder to a hidden directory and encrypt it?
the only reason someone would hide a folder on their computer would be to hide something from their wife or kids, wanna hide something from a virus? thats what virus protection is for
your statement defeats the purpose of what this is designed to do

hey guys
I'm kinda new to programming, done a bit at college and now and then i read up about it at home but i know the very basic skills. anyways i thought i would test myself and see i could come up with an idea for an app.
its not a windows mobile app but i suppose in a way its for developers (can save progress of development and tweet it to followers). the app is called twitodo and it basically saves a todo list to a txt file in the install directory. it can also open a text file from a custom directory. it can also tweet the todo list to your twitter account and you have the option to view twitter in a browser window.
the ui is ok i suppose but it could be alot nicer.. would apreciate it if someone could do a few graphics for me. also if anyone has a link to a good guide for making installers because im not sure that my program install correctly, i think you may have to run it from the program files directory.
anyways feedback will be apreciated very much, anything i can add or remove at all just leave below please i really wanna make this app better, but go easy its my first program unless you count "hello world" then its my second lol.
EDIT:
Changes:
permissions to write file at startup fixed (moved TodoList.txt default location)
fixed crash when user doesnt select a file in load todo list window
Attached Files Updates!
just thort id put a pic of the ui on so u can see what it looks like

It seems to use a lot of resources?
It scans storage for all media files pics music ringtones, etc and keeps there location for whatever needs them. So I would say that you do definitely need it. However it does seem like yours is going more than it should. I would recommend backing everything up and doing a full wipe and reinstall everything to see if it works better.

it's getting stuck on some dir trying to scan files. does the OP have some folder on /sdcard/ that has like, an abuse of files, jpegs, mp3? place '.nomedia' file under that dir or structure it into more folders.
Probably a corrupt picture or audio file on your /sdcard.

I don't think so. But maybe a rogue app created a ton of media files? I'd have to check.

maybe; a corrupt file could also be the cause, like previously posted. still, if we cant find the culprit, imo a fresh start would be best, reflashing from fastboot.
saw this elsewhere: there are also widgets that may cause this behaviour, especially ones that sync something.

So upon plugging in my phone (newest iteration of clean rom) windows takes me into and lets me access the sdcard/ extension. I am trying to install an app by copy/pasting into the system/app directory but am unable to navigate to it via my computer. I'm unable to access it via root explorer because it says the folder is read only. anyone able to shed some insight into this situation?

In root explorer when you nav to /system, at the top you'll see a button that changes it from read only to read/write(see pic). If you wanna access /system from your computer you have to do it with adb.

Airdroid will also allow you to access the system folder from pc. Good luck
In cleanrom you can choose your file manager, each one has a different way of allowing your pc to write to storage, mount, umount, etc. Go through the settings and you will find what you are looking for.

I have created a desktop folder with sub folders from the current version of ES3 file explorer as shown below.

The folder works but not as I wanted. I wanted it to work like I had setup on my first gen N7 where when I open a specific file such as a pic, vid, music, or data type.....it would then have the pop up window to select which app to use to open the file. I also was able to make an icon using the android icon of the main folder but now have no options of long pressing any desktop folder icons.
So now when I open up any of the files, they open up in the ES3 app showing the root tree. Did I not create the main "STUFF" folder in the correct spot of the root directory to act like I had it setup in my older N7? I had created that in my old setup from someones tip/help article that was passed around last year.
Or is this all from the newer 4.3 Android OS and just the way it works now?
Thanks for any help. I searched for some time trying to find that old setup guide on creating separate folders in specific locations of the root for saving downloaded files of various types for quick access and organization. I suck at understanding the android file system and how it all works, sorry.

It's grayed out......so no default was set.
Hi I am having problems in importing watchfaces on Facer. I have downloaded .zip files (by boostr29) from dropbox, unzipped them and then moved the 3 files (description.json, preview.png, watchface.json) to a new folder within the Facer directory. When I open 'My Watchfaces" in Facer I can see the correct watchface, but then when I try to synch, the skin/layers are missing and only the text is visible with a black background!
I am not sure what I am doing wrong? I have re-installed Facer, deleted the Facer folder, rebooted, but the problem still persists.
......any ideas what the problem could be???
Ps. the standard featured Facer watchfaces work fine
Because you're not even remotely doing it correctly. Layers are images, in the images folder that goes along with the rest of the watch face files. All you do is open Facer, click on the Import button and find the ZIP or FACE file. It'll take care of everything for you. No need to mess with the component files.

I have the same problem. I also extracted the zip file to a subdir in the facer directory. I don't have an import button. How do I find it??

I highlighted the button for you. That'll open your storage on your phone. Locate the ZIP or FACE file and that's it.
I like the Potato clock! That kinda made my day.
