If you're rooted I've heard that the wifi tether for root users app works if you put the phone down as a galaxy nexus cdma/lte.

[Q] Does CM10.1 have Free Tethering?

Does CM10.1 have free tethering built in? Or, do I have to edit APN's and such to get around T-Mobile's 500mb a month limit?
It should have free tethering. It did on my n4. I can only assume its the same for the S4

Simple answer, yes.
Is tethering like the wifi hotspot thing?

Yes
T-Mobile will check your user agent to see if you are tethering though. Normally you can use a VPN to encrypt all of your traffic, but I cant find a 3rd party tethering app that will work on CM10.1, 10.2, or any 4.3 ROM

How to bypass T-mobile tethering restriction?

Anyone figured out how to bypass T-mobile tethering restriction? I'm trying to use the native tethering app but bypass the 2.5gb restriction. I've tried everything like deleting the apn, using Wanam Xposed to disable provisioning, adding dun to the apn, etc. Nothing works. Any clues?

I've tried that and it doesn't work. It says that the hotspot is active but it doesn't show the ssid on my iPad or laptop.

Anyone find a wireless tethering workaround for the PS3?

Newest Version of Foxfi Bypasses Tethering

Can someone else please confirm these results? I used foxfi to tether my pc and to watch netflix on my ps3 and ive gone over the limit

it did this all the time dude
Can anyone confirm? Is this routing traffic through a proxy? T-Mobile scans headers and detects psn network so curious to see if anyone else has similar results.

You have to use a VPN if you want to use your ps3. I use hotspot shield for to achieve what you need. Along with wifi tether router. Trust me it works fine. I'm playing cod all day

Gonna try this, and the vpn also. Thanks!
I'm using Darthstalker rom version 6. I tether my PC without issues. I just have to switch the user agent to kindle on Google chrome.

With this you don't need to use a agent

Just download the kit kat version of wicked. No vpn or switcher agent needed. Works on ps3 and ps4 (unlimited).

What else do I have to do? Change settings, other apps, etc. I have the paid version of Foxfi & Wifi Tether. I have done everyrhing, but nobody post EXACTLY what they did, cause from every instruction I have followed, I keep getting up-sell & blocked. I am running Hyperdrive, and have Wicked on stand-by, please display EXACT STEPS.

(First let me say im on 4.3 bootloader using kitkat wicked 4.4) Get wicked rom change the apn protocols to ivp4/ivp6. Reset your phone and run the native (t-mobile) hotspot. Very simple.

Thanks for the help! I'm going to try it!

Tethering does work on Wicked or any rom... but T-Mobile blocks many ip addresses... PSN network, many XBMC addons like Icefilms using the FireTV. A work around would be great!

What if I want to keep stock. What would be the best option to keep an unlimited tethering?

I have a plain Stock Rom on my thread, on the 3rd post, and follow directions, its not Rooted, and the tether works fine, i'm using it as we speak,
if you want it rooted, just flash chainfires superuser..
but if you mean you want it on your plain stock rom, it won't work, you need to do some edits on a few files.
look on my signature, it will lead u there. :good:
