[Q] Multiple conditions notification - Zooper Widget General

Hi,
I'm having trouble setting up some pop up icons using [ox] to displace the icons.
What I'm trying to achieve are notifcation buttons which stack to one side of the screen. I want notifications for missed calls, SMS and whatsapp.
Calls will always be far right so I have a that set up with an x conditional when I have a missed call and it shifts off the screen when there are none.
The SMS notification is either off the screen, in the middle or on the far right (in place of the missed call icon). This works fine because I have it set up for either 1000:a resultant variable with b being the usual x coordinate if nothing is triggered.
My issue is the whatsapp icon which is always meant to be on the left side, relative to the SMS and missed call icons.
I have tried multiple line parameters but it ends up not using any of the conditionals at all.
So what I want is:
If I only have a whatsapp notifcation, it appears on the far right.
If I have a whatsapp notifcation and either a SMS OR a missed call then it appears in the middle.
If I have a whatsapp notifcation and BOTH SMS and missed calls, it will appear on the left.
How could I set this up?

Unread mail icon in topbar

I'm using Ricky's ROM with topbar, and I can't seem to get rid of the unread mail icon near the top left. When I look at the sliding panel that has missed calls, voicemails, unread emails, etc - they all say 0, but the icon won't go away. Something I'm doing wrong?

I get this sometimes as well. If you know what app created the icon (Outlook, TXT message, 3rd party email, etc), then you just need to click on it and then perhaps click on the message again (even if it is read). It *should* disappear after that.
You HAVE unread messages somewhere Double check....
Whenever you reboot your phone or turn it off and on, refresh the screen, whatever, it will not display any numbers or info next to your missed calls or messages. It is something stupid about the system. It doesn't keep track in a good way of missed calls or what not, but then again, I can't think of any phone that does this well. Most phones that have this type of setup where it displays your messages or missed calls in a panel, don't have the ability to save that info once the phone has been rebooted.
I know this happens to me, it's just the way things are. You just have to roll with the punches. Sorry.
If you are running CHomeWeather, when it updates the plugin, it reloads your homescreen, so this might be what's causing you this problem.
Sorry to jump into your thread with a question, but I've just bought my dash, and already enjoying v23.
my question is what is the 'E'? (is it email? how to get rid of it) and anyway to disable to up-down arrow in the top center?

Yes, you did. The "E" is for the Edge network ("G" is for GPRS.) The up/down arrow is for the JOGGR scrolling feature. You can disable it in the JOGGR settings.

it seems to be a threading glitch.
viewing the message sometimes doesnt reset the notification icon.
As stated above, quickly click on the text message feature in the panel and quickly followed by the end key. WOrks for me.

[Q] Missed Call and google voice //CM7

I've been using Google Voice for a while, and my one problem is that whenever I get a missed call, and only a missed call, I get notifications from GVoice and also from the phone itself.
Clarification: In the status bar, I get both the standard GVoice notification icon (the smaller GVoice icon, in black) and the Missed call notification (red phone with zig zag line)
I don't think I need both though... is there a way to turn off the Missed call (red phone) notification?
I'm running the latest CM7 build, 7.0.0.2.
Thanks!
You would have to turn off GVoice notifications, as I don't see anything in the Phone Settings that would let you turn notifications off there. However, turning off GVoice notifications if you're using it isn't going to work then either, so I think that's the way it is.
Boo, thats frustrating, but I guess I can live with it, I have been for a while now.
I've dealt with it, since I don't get a lot of phone calls in general, and if I do I also have my work land line set to ring, so I'll answer with that. It would be nice to have some sort of status bar notification disable for the missed call (phone and red arrow), but that may cause problems for people who don't use GV if they accidentally turn notifications off...

annoying notification and badges problem

4.1.1
when i receive sms or miss call - i see it in the notification panel, but when i swipe it- it does not clear as read and it still provide badges
is this "OS thing" or is there a way so that if i swipe left/right a sms or miss call, it does not put badges in my sms or phone icon
different topic - sms app
one time i saw an app that display all my text history merge with the caller's info
this way when i talk to someone, i can also see what we been texting about

No SMS notifications from inside conversation

I recently switched from an S4 to a Note 4, and have been missing lots of incoming SMS messages. I realize now that the S4 would beep any time a new message arrived, but the Note 4 suppresses notifications when you're inside the conversation for which a new message arrives. I can kind of see the logic for this - why would one need the phone to beep if you're already on the screen that's showing you the incoming message? In practice, though, I find that I leave the conversation screen open all the time when I'm not looking at the phone.
Most frequently, I keep the phone on a dock at my desk, hooked up to my KVM switch, so I can use my keyboard/mouse to write messages during the day. After sending a message, I switch back to my main computer/monitor and work over there until the phone beeps at me again. I rely on the SMS notifications to grab my attention, but need to explicitly exit the conversation after sending each message now if I want the beep to occur. The same thing happens when I put the phone in my pocket, holster, on the counter, etc. after sending an SMS. I'm sure I'll develop a habit after a while, but it seems foolish to me that I can't just stay in a conversation and have it beep whenever there's activity. This is the only email/IM/SMS app that I have that behaves this way.
I've tried to force the Messages app to beep at me whenever an SMS arrives, but there doesn't appear to be an option for this. Hopefully, I've just overlooked it, so:
QUESTION: Is there a way to configure the Messages app to beep whenever an SMS arrives, even if I'm already inside the conversation for the new message?
I'm using the stock ROM, no root, the default Messages app that comes on the phone, and a built-in notification sound (i.e. not something custom from the external SD card). Vanilla configuration. Thanks for your help.

In phone app go to settings - call - call alerts . There is option to alert you on notifications. Make sure you have this check.

Just to clarify, when I say "conversation", I mean that I'm reading an SMS thread inside the Messages app - not having a verbal conversation in the Phone app. Assuming that this is understood...
In the "Call alerts" page, I see several settings. Mine are configured as follows (where "+" is checked, and "-" is unchecked):
CALL VIBRATIONS
+ Vibrate when answered
+ Call-end vibration
CALL STATUS TONES
+ Call connect tone
- Minute Minder
+ Call end tone
ALERTS ON CALL
+ Notify during calls
Under the configuration above, would you expect the Messages app to beep when an SMS arrives on the thread that I'm currently reading?

Now i'm not sure. i need to see if in scenario you talking about i have notification, if i do i will explain my settings.
EDIT:
OK. I have notification. In settings in default messenger i have in notification Notification sound ( choose as you wish)
Vibrate +
Repeat message alert ( I got every 10 Min)
Pop-up display +
Lock Screen +
Status Bar +
What im reading messages i got pop-up with sound on top of message app.
But when im reading message and i get message from same person i don't have sound notification. It must be setup by software this way.
Did you find a fix? Mine does the same thing.

I'm still getting the same behavior. Missed several messages yesterday, in fact. This is the first thing I check after every OS update from AT&T, but I guess most people continue to prefer to not be notified when their text messages arrive.
If my screen is on while I'm in a conversation, you're correct, no notification will occur. But if my screen times out (locks) I will get a notification tone. I guess it just assumes you are looking at the screen if it's on and a message comes in.
Not aware of any way to change this.

I think that that's probably the intent. Maybe my habits are different than others', but I'm frequently not looking at the phone when the Messages app is up. Actually, before getting the Note 4 and training myself to switch off of Messages after reading each new text, I predominantly wasn't looking at the screen while Messages was up.
There's probably no one-size-fits-all setting here. It's just too bad that there's not an option to enable/disable audible notifications to fit individual preferences.
Did anyone ever find a way around this? You figure someone would have made an xposed module or something.
What a response.
Your response sounds like We should all be alike and conform.
Text notifications
Try '8sms' ... only text messaging app that I've found that will consistently notify me of incoming texts. Some apps will for a time but then stop doing so. This one has worked well for me.

Screen on vs screen off notifications

I generally have vibration off and sound on for my notifications. There's different alerts for sms, email1 and email2. All work relatively well with the screen off (usually received withing 5-60 seconds of sending, depending on time of day).
The issue is when the screen is on. In this state, I don't need to hear any sounds. Really all that's needed is headsup and/or status bar notifications.
How do I make this happen?
Apps in question: Google voice (for sms and vm) and aquamail.
