The wear mini launcher works, but doesn't wrap to the circular screen and has some stuff on the bottom open. Is there any better apps out there? Thanks.

Considering that the 360 is the only wear device with a round screen and has only been on the market for less than 2 days, give the devs a week or 2 to update their apps.
Other wise wear mini launcher functions great.
I'm using swipifiy, which is supposed to work for the moto 360 specifically, but it doesn't work correctly.

Have you tried the latest version?
I am in the developers community, people say it works.
The developer is really open to comments and feedback.
All good, wear mini launcher is updated to fix the issue. works fine on the moto 360 now.
Bubble Cloud Launcher
I recommend Bubble Cloud Launcher for several reasons:
best use of space, least amount of swiping needed to find an app
watch-face mode: works much like a real launcher on the mobile phone. Press the button to go back to the launcher.
Screen touch guard (in watch-face mode)
Contact cloud: call / text / email your favorite contacts
Full control over the contents and the layout of the bubble clouds with on-phone editor/cloud layout designer
Runs smoothly and elegantly on the Moto360
Very battery friendly, doesn't even appear in the Battery chart
Same bubble clouds can be used on the phone as widgets

This is my first idea for anything smartphone related so please do not flame me or call me names! Okay. So my my idea is for a launcher design, and maybe an OS later, where the idea of Windows OS and IOS come together under Android software with a custom GUI never before seen. This is going to be very hard to explain since I just got this off the top of my head; Basically the UI is 'Circular' and fluid while requiring less clicks and menus through the entire phone compared to all the other operating systems. Here's an example, The dock is scrollable to the left/right and when scrolled you see these options:
1. (Home Screen) Menu-Home-Return, 2. (Notifications) Instead of reach up to the top of the phone the bar slides up, 3. (Phone) Phone-Contacts-Message-Internet, 4. (Camera) Camera-Editor-Video
To make the UI more fluid and smooth the 'Open" action for these apps isn't to click them, like a button, but to slide them up from their position on the dock. Like so, 1App / 2App / 3App Grab the number 2 app and slide up which it then opens like a vertical page(imagine windows 7 mobile unlock screen) except that it directly opens the app like it was waiting there the whole time to be opened.
The second part is the "app drawer" which is non-existent in this launcher, like in IOS, because the home screen serves as a widgets / app drawer where the apps are accessed by sliding down the dock, which leaves a button to return the dock, and then sliding left and right.
The neat part is that the "Real" home screens are seemingly connected to the app drawer. To put it basically, if the dock is up and you swipe the screen you are swiping through the home screens. If you lower down the dock nothing on the screen changes, except the dock, and then if you swipe you're suddenly in the apps/widgets.
To place a widget on the screen you swipe it up to the screen selection, you select a home screen by scrolling horizontally through a bar above the widgets and the apps, in which it "loads up" your selections into something I call a "Case" where it stores the apps and widgets for that specific home screen until you're down selecting and tap the home screen. After you enter the screen the "Case" slides up from the bottom, with the dock on top to keep the dock usable, and then you can place the items one by one specifically.
To adjust the size of the widgets or X items touch and hold the item and then pinch outwards to expand.
I have more of this design in my head but I want to know what you guys, and gals, think of this launcher and/or OS.
Sounds cool, but I like my app drawer. Lol. That's the main reason I don't use MIUI.

Thanks for reading my post! =] Everyone on here thinks they're too good to post on such an insignificant thread. lol
I agree with you about the app drawer actually that's why I mentioned the "seamless" integration of the app drawer with the home screens.
In my honest opinion I'd prefer a full renovation of the android layout to give it some new life.
No problem. I'm always interested in what ideas people have, and yours sounds really nice, but also very deep in the android framework.

oastval bellum,
Even I was thinking of something similar and tried to find on net but there isnt anything like it. I like the idea of just sliding the homescreens into app drawer and then coming out to quick settings like the ones motorola has, and then back to homescreen completing a circle. In MIUI it gives an iOS feel but a transition to black background for App drawer like windows UI with the sliding effect would look awesome. kinda like meego effect...
Do tell if you find anything like this or lets just cook up one of our own...
I would try it!

SSLauncher
Hey,
Did you find/make anything as per your idea?
I found this launcher SSLauncher which is really cool
lets you do a lot of stuff. Give it a try maybe. You might be able to fill a lot of your requirements. There are like wild home screens that people have created with it.
Hi... May be I'm a little bit foolish to have this feature. I wanna make any android keyboard to be transparent or semi-transparent. I can't find it out Google. Is it possible to make like that? Can anyone help me out? I just love customization of Android
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Problem with doing this is that when the keyboard is on-screen, the app that's taking up the rest of the screen is re-sized to make way for the keyboard. The keyboard isn't overlapping the app, the app is shrinking out of the way to make room for the keyboard. This is so that the keyboard doesn't cover up vital parts of the app.
If you somehow allowed the keyboard to overlap the app, part of the app would be hidden - including any bottom controls or status bars in the app, and sometimes even the text you are typing. Instead of the text scrolling normally your text would continue underneath the keyboard.
That make sense I just found out this feature in ios 7 and just want it, but it's really not essential though. Just eye candy
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Then, what do you think? Why ios 7 can have that feature?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Not all apps re-size for the keyboard, check out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchscapesoftware.klearkeys.phone&hl=en or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboard&hl=en (pictures don't show it but it has a transparency option in settings)
Floating transparent Keyboard
Okay so what about the floating keyboard android has? If that's possible, surely there's a way to make a keyboard app like that, that is at least semi transparent? I'm not an experienced android developer but it seems like it should be possible right? I love using the multi-window app on my note 3 but when I go to type something, the keyboard extends whichever window, and covers up the other one. And when I use the floating keyboard, it blocks out a good chunk of the screen. If there's a developer out there that can make a floating keyboard with adjustable transparency... you could make a lot of people happy.
How about Bumper?
Here is the project of keyboard which lays on top of apps, don't touching their windows sizes at all. It's kinda soft version of side-slider, so it's a bit "unusual"
As for now it's only alpha, and have one "issue" by design - it forces phone to landscape. But you can try it.

Kia ora all.
Fantastic phone! Received it from clove in uk too hear in NZ and it works well.
Couple of things if anyone can advise..
1. Rotate landscape home ui.
I've set rotate on for display and accessibility and our still won't rotate hone screen just the apps.
2.Photo gallery widget appears too be missing. Like the one for the LG G2.

The home screen is not designed to rotate, this is why it doesn't.
As for the widget, I guess LG decided not to use it on the G3 (it is not a G2 so you should stop comparing it to it).

Thanks Lenny. When i googled for Home UI Landscape pictures existed of the home screen in that orientation, hence my question. Someone has possibly done it. Perhaps through a 3rd party app and as a mislead. all good.
Regarding comparing it to an LG G2; considering i have them both on me and one is a predecessor to the other including design element uplifts, I and many will likely compare them. But thanks for noting it.
cheers
I use this app when I want to view the home screen in landscape mode...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate&hl=en
in the playstore there are photo widgets if you really want them try there

Hmm I know I saw pics of LG's new UI somewhere and it did rotate the home screen to landscape like skinless android does. I was happy that it did - I've always mostly used my phones in landscape. I'll try to dig up the site I found that one, maybe it was a mod and i didn't notice.
Edit: http://www.gsmarena.com/landscape_ux_on_the_lg_g3_leaks_in_a_screenshot-news-8541.php
Anyone have any idea?
I isn't possible stock or so I read. This is a bump for you though because I would like to reclaim that real estate myself. Ideally I would like to delete the text below the icons as well to get another 1/4 inch back along with losing the unused s finder and quick connect boxes.
Somehow those options disappeared from my phone and I really didn't noticed until recently, only things I can tell you is that i'm using Nova Launcher.
Hmm. I'm using nova launcher too, still have those buttons.
I really dislike touchwiz, with cyanogenmod I could save probably about 1 1/2 inches of space in the notifications window.
If my buttons go away I'll let you know.

Wonderful app that uses the edge very well for edge swipes. I bought the paid app a long time ago so I don't know what the free version offers (if there even is one lol)
Once you get it set up with the icon packs and folders it's great. I've completely removed all apps and folders from my home screen.
here are a few screen shots.

Nice find, lots of customization even in the free version, Cheers
Very nice!! I bought the full version!! We MUST support good developers (IMHO)
I bought the full version as well!!
supporting development is a must!
One thing that I am VERY excited about is coupling this with Zooper Widgets, and PopUp Widget!!
I'll post pics of what I come up with.

Definitely loads of potential with those 2 apps involved.

It doesn't really use the Edge though. Looks like the icons are much bigger than the edge size, aren't they?
Super app but does not use the edge

Love this app, thanks for sharing.
Amazing app. Bought it after using it for 2 minutes. Thanks for sharing
The Best Edge App I've ever had. Makes other apps gimmicks.
And I really like the floating widget.
This + Action Launcher == Widget Master.

try Apps Bar same thing smaller icons
when you search spell out Apps with the S for some reason with out the S it didnt show up in the first searches i did:good:

Another +1 for Glovebox! I tried Apps Bar too -- it was nice but Glovebox has more customization. FluffyR's comment about XS density is exactly what i needed/wanted. Also the fact that it supports icon packs is excellent, i'm using the one i have with Nova Launcher.
Always buy full version. We have a good amount of good devs and the more we support the more good devs we'll have in the future. Great app dn good find OP
This app is amazing and smoother than any other side bar app.

I like it a lot, but sometimes it takes a while to open apps from it, anybody else experience the same?
If I open the app from the drawer it opens straight away, so I expect it to be caused by Glovebox...

I loved the app but looks like there's some issue with my phone or I'm missing out some settings. I have the clock widget on my phone and whenever I use it, it starts from the bottom of it and doesn't covers the whole soon rather just the part below the clock widget. The same happens in the app drawer as well, would love a solution for that.

I am facing the same issue, it takes longer to open a app from glovebox than opening the same app from homescreen even when the app is in the recent app list.
It takes even longer if you have cleared all running apps and then you open a app from glovebox. Another than this lag issue rest all great.
I already bought the app and used it but went back to the old homescreen setup since it took so long to switch between and open new apps
