[Q] My Xplay reboot only in recovery mode by itself - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, I got a problem I can't understand, suddenly my Xplay touchscreen (unlocked bl, Lupus kernel, don't remember which version, and custom rom) stopped works, so I've decided to reboot, it rebooted in recovery mode by itself, I've tried to wipe cache and dalvik, wipe system and flash another rom, flash a newer version of Lupus kernel and a rom, no hopes, it only reboot in recovery mode.
Any help? Thanks.
EDIT: I've just flashed the latest official firmware, but it don't boot, I see the sony ericsson splash screen and nothing happens. I'm a bit worried
EDIT: after a few minutes I've pulled out the battery and restarted, it booted correctly, but touchscreen don't works anymore like before. So I think it's near to be dead...

Kernel reset problem

Hello,
i've got a problem with my sony arc.
I was on jjhybrid 3.2 and doomkernel, and i had some problem with battery. So i tried to change the kernel with arcknight 3.3. After flashing the kernel with the fastboot command (fastboot boot boot.img) the kernel did not load. It appeared the new "logo" of arcknight kernel (batman) but after trying to boot, the phone did a reboot and then automatically appeared again the doomkernel, and the phone was bricked on the kernel logo. (android wouldn't load).
So i flashed via "flashtool" the original kernel, now the phone works and it does load the stock kernel and android too.
But i still can't change my kernel.
Every time i try, it flash the kernel, the new kernel tries to load, the new logo appeares, the phone reboot automatically, the stock kernel logo appeares again.
Does anybody know which problem it could be?
Thank you and sorry for my english.
Did you check if the kernel was compatible with the rom? if it is do a full re-flash of the ROM and re-flash the kernel
Thank you for reply.
By now, i don't know why, i tried again and it worked.
Now the phone works with new kernel.
Before that, i tried a full refresh of rom and kernel, but it didn't worked. Still the same problem appeared. The kernel was correct.
In practice, now the phone works and i don't know why. I can't comprehend what the problem was. Hope it doesn't happen again!

[SOLVED] Phone bootlooping (R800a, 3.01 Turbo Kernel)

I was running PACrom perfectly fine, I made a TWRP backup. I was trying to install AOKP 4.2.2 (which appeared to be successfully installed) and now my phone is bootlooping at the "Sony Turbo" logo, or it hangs there. I can't seem to reboot in to TWRP recovery either (power + VOL up at blue led). I tried reflashing the kernel in using fastboot tool but still the same result. Can't figure out what's wrong :/
Have unlocked BL w/o fastboot menu.
EDIT1: I also tried flashing the stock FTF for the R800a (4.0.2.A.0.42), and it's still stuck at the exact same screen (Sony Turbo logo). Which leads me to believe that it did not even flash the stock kernel.
EDIT2: Alright, nothing was working. So I decided to use the Sony PC Companion to "repair" my device. It's working now booting in to the OS (2.3.4), so I'm gonna try reflashing Turbo Kernel 3.1 and see if I still can't boot in to recovery.
EDIT3: Reflashed Turbo Kernel 3.1 successfully using FTF and Flashtool and am back on PACrom

Confused and need help

Hello xda members,
I own a Xperia Arc, was running android 2.3.4 and decided it was time for a new rom for the phone, i carried out a couple of steps but in the end i got stuck, and i can't get into cwm recovery to restore or install a new rom, and i cant even root the phone, here are the steps that i carried out in order to try and install a new rom( Sorry they are long):
1: rooted my Arc using a program called "Eroot v1.2", I enabled usb debug mode and connected, pressed the button and it rooted it, I managed to see the superuser app installed and i also downloaded an app called "root checker" which verified that my Arc was rooted successfully.
2: I downloaded a program called "recoverx" to install cwm recovery on my Arc and once again it was done successfully, i switched the phone off and back on while holding the volume up button and i got into cwm recovery.
3: I went into cwm and made a rom backup
4: I downloaded the new rom (Xperia Ultimate HD Rom) onto my sd card and went into cwm recovery and deleted everything such as wiping the
data, and a factory reset, and i deleted the delvik cache and the bettery stats
5: I went to the install from sd card, and installed the new rom, and at the end i unchecked the "Reboot" button, and it took me back to cwm recovery and pressed on reboot into cwm
So after this point everything seems fine and to me im sure iv carried out all the correct steps, but....
6: after this point the phone rebooted, and after the sony logo, it gave a black screen and was stuck at that screen no matter what, at that point, i could not get into cwm recovery anymore.
7: After reading and searching the internet I managed to educate myself that i was supposed to flash something called a kernel, so i downloaded a tool called sonyericssson xperia flash tool, and downloaded a kernel called lt15i_4.1.b.587_kernel.ftf and flashed it, turned the phone on only to find that my Arc was stuck in a boot loop, it was restarting after the sony logo immediatly.
8: I then downloaded another kernel called lt15i_4.1.b.431_kernel only.ftf and flashed it which cured my boot loop and the phone booted successfully, however my main problem now is that I can no longer root my Arc, and I can no longer get into cwm recovery no matter what.
Iv also read about using the fastboot method to install kernels but when i do it, it says failed as the phone is not rooted, so now i have no way at all of rooting or installing the cwm recovery.
I currently have a locked boot loader as well.
So if anyone can please tell me how i can sort this problem out it would be amazing, or if you could just tell me what i did wrong or where i went wrong and how i can sort it out, I really want to install cwm recovery and just restore my old rom back, or even install a totally new rom.
You can't flash kernels
Try SEUS or PC Companion to repair your phone
Then root it, install CWM and restore your backup
For UHD you need ICS kernel so update your arc to official ICS, then root it, install CWM and flash UHD

[Q][HELP!] Arc S won't boot into recovery

Hey.
Just rooted an Arc S via Eroot, installed Rom manager and CWM and booted into recovery via Rom manager.
I then wiped everything (data/cache/dalvik) and installed SuperJellyBean Rom + Arc S Update + Gapps. I then wanted to reboot the phone, but I'm stuck at the bootscreen.
I googled and searched the forums, but I have no luck. No Key combination would work (Menu + Power gets that little light flashig blue briefly, but that's all) I'm always stuck with the "Sony Ericsson" boot logo.
Can anyone help? :crying:
Did you flash the correct kernel for SJB?
僕のLT18iから送られてきた
Bootloader was obviously still locked :angel:I unlocked it via Fastboot, and also flashed a new kernel (Fusion 5.4) that has CWM included.
Now I'm stuck with the Fusion boot logo :victory: Any more ideas what to do?
Is there anyway of flashing a *.zip rom via USB (Flash mode = Back button + Cable)?
EDIT: Finally solved it, though i admittedly don't really know how. Just wanted to plug the phone back into the USB in fastboot mode (menu button + cable) and suddenly i was in the CWM. I re-flashed the Rom, Patch, and gapps and everything works perfectly now.

twrp causes bootloop

Hey everyone, i got a neat little problem with my one X.
I wanted to install Resurrection Remix LP v5.5.0 according to this Thread.
So first of all I flashed twrp 2.6.3.0 to my phone and tried to install RR 5.5.0., which threw me an error (because of layout differences).
I moved on by flashing another recovery twrp2811.BiG to my phone and booted into it, np. So i wiped everything, I think it was the advanced wipe option, I ticked every checkbox and swiped to wipe.
After a short time my phone blackscreened back into the bootloader and when I tried to enter recovery again, it displays the twrp logo for a short time, then crashes and reboots.
Since theres no Android to boot, it repeats it's bootloop. I tried flashing twrp2853-BiG, twrp-2.6.3.0-endeavoru,twrp-2.6.1.0-endeavoru. Fastboot flashes the recoveries and right before my phone restarts it even shows the correct "recovery splash screen" according to the current recovery image flashed.
When I flash recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.8-endeavoru and boot into recovery everythin works, but I can't manage to mount my USB storage anymore.
But that almost doesn't matter since I need twrpXXXXBiG to flash the latest Resurrection Rom, but I cant get any twrp recovery back to work (erase cache didn't help at all).

Just had an similar issue,
Try flashing first boot.img from the rom you will flash
then flash the recovery twrp big
then do the wipes ..
then flash boot.img and then rom
I thought this worked for me. (i flashed with the unboxed rom)
Just tried it, didn't work for me.
