Found a nice transparent dialog popup and black toast panel mod from g2 forum which is a nice change from the blue toast panel of g3
All credits to motomoto00 , You can thank him at the Actual Thread here.
I removed certain files from the original like the dialler and the systemui edit which gives the moto signal icon. I just kept the Framework and lge.res edits for the new dialog window and toast panel.
This is the modified zip , flash it using your recovery.
Just sharing this because i found this a nice change without installing any xposed modules to change the theming framework. Even if i use a lot of modules, Theme modules that change the these settings always messed my phone up.
I have tested this only on g3 ports like bountyman's rom and VUPMP.G-PRO.sG3 on my e988. Always make a nandroid backup before trying anything, i am not responsible for any bricks or such. Flash at your own risk.

aloright so im having some problems with editing my framework-res.apk file. I flashed the new notification power control widget and wanted to add my own batter icon and change the widget to be clear along with changing the icons. everything i did works perfectly right now but im getting the circle spinner when i try to change the volume, a white bar at the top of apps like k9 and tapatalk, and a force close when i try to open the preferences of launcher pro (not settings that opens fine). im not sure what the problem is but im guessing it has something to do with the xml files i edited to remove the color on the widget bar or the changes made to make my batter icon work. any ideas on what is going on would be very appreciated!
heres what it looks like now:

Amazing colored file explorer... Nice job !!
Hey, it does not seem to work for me.
After installation I just get the Anti-slash \ and that's it.
Also the search module doesn't work.
I have the last Mi7rom installed, is there any incompatibility? Thanks for your answer.
@seiferflo: I've heard that some custom ROMs don't automatically apply full-unlock to all apps, and instead have a control app (similar to WP7 Root Tools) where you can allow apps full access. This app will need full permissions, so if your ROM has anything like that, that's probably your problem.
EDIT: I am using Purity v4.2 [4.2.1] ROM with the AK Purity Kernel (toro)
I used to use the very nice circular battery mod on 4.1.2 (Verizon_JRO...zip attached). I recently upgraded to 4.2.1 and found the same flashable zip caused the UI to crash. Found a segmented battery indicator that isn't as pretty (baldwin....zip attached) but works with 4.2.1. So I decided to replace the res > drawable-xhdpi icons in baldwin's with the Verizon_JRO's as they used the same names and icon sizes. I replaced all of the "stat_sys_battery" icons in 7zip and saved the file. Flashed it to the phone and it seems to work great except for this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This same behavior happens in baldwin's zip as well. The locks appear under any elements in the expanded status bar and seem to "click" along with the correct icons.
Perhaps another good question is, does anyone just have a 100% working version of this battery mod?
looking for a stock dialer theme for the infamous v5 with more of a 3d effect or popout look to it. the default one has black background with dark digits for the numbers entered in the dialer. its hard to see....
I'm looking for the same. I even tried to modified the SecContacts.apk to change the number's color to white. Except for some reason when I push the apk back the phone app keep shutting down. I can open the Contacts app but phone app does not work. I've dabbled in theming before but not on JB so not sure if there's a different process.
I flashed the tmo revert version in this thread and my dialer is now white but it also changed a few things that I like. But along with things I didn't like. But for now I'm going to stick to it as I need a white dialer background.

Didn't like and issue. The check boxes are too small and hard to tell which I selected to delete.
Delete pop up looks weird

For certain tweaks, you need to get your phone rooted. (Check here: Root without warranty void)
NOTE:
1. Before proceeding, install Xposed Installer app (from Play Store) and install the framework.
2. Install GravityBox module from Xposed Installer.
1. To change Status Bar Icons:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Open GravityBox. Go to Statusbar tweaks->Signal cluster settings-> Check "Use Lollipop icons"
2. To change Soft Keys:
In GravityBox, Go to Navigation bar tweaks-> Switch ON "Master switch", then scroll down and select "Use Lollipop Icons" and choose "Original"
Now Reboot to apply all changes.
