xposed installed is really good for these types of tweaks... install that then get the gravity box module.

Are there any app that allows us to swipe the bottom to show/hide the navbar like Smart Statusbar?

I use Nova Launcher and it gives you an option to show/hide the status bar and dock. You can then assign a gesture to show/hide them if you like.
I think he's talking about the actual navigation bar, not about statusbar or dock. I'd be very interested too, but I doubt it unless it is cooked into a ROM.
flash paranoidandroid and be fully happy

Oh sorry, my bad. I though the OP was talking about the status bar since the app he referred to has screenshots of the status bar being hidden.
But ya not sure if there is an app to hide the nav bar (back, home button...) unless on a custom ROM.
What can it do?
Thanks guys for the replies.

I think he means swipe up on the screen to open the launcher menu.
Here's what I'm doing at the moment:
1) ROM: ParanoidAndroid 2.14 (about to flash 2.16 which is reported to have transparent navbar)
2) Alt. Nav: LMT 1.5
3) Launcher: Apex
Using PA 2.14, I went to settings to hide the navbar completely (it never comes back up unless I turn it back on). I then use LMT 1.5 to navigate (typically through "pie" buttons at the edge of the screen, but gestures are also supported). I also hid my status bar via Apex Launcher and toggle it on and off.
Note: Apex Launcher only hides my status bar at the home screen. When I am on any other page aside from home, the status bar comes back automatically. You can completely disable navbar and status bar in PA using the "expanded desktop" feature.
Took me a few days to come up with this set up, but it works great :good:
edit: as far as swiping up to access navbar, try apex's gesture settings

Thanks. Tried LMT and it work great. Will stick to this for now.
Can someone post a screenshot of the transparent nav bar on PA? Thanks! :good:
Navbar removal is now an option in CNA ROM as well.

Hi bro's,
Is there a way to get softkeys on out device? I mean I can do the "qemu" command in buildprop but that will only give me the buttons in landscape mode. I'd like to have them in portrait too. There seem to be made room for them underneath the samsung recents app menu. but the space is empty-see through. I disllike hardware buttons and it would be so cool to just undbind them in the keyboard files and then navigate trhu softkeys. Any sugestions?

Thanks man. They work. But it can't do transparent navbar and Nova Launcher doesn't scale after it and leaves my icons underneath it.
But good find if you just want the buttons. ^^
Can I hide my nav keys on my LG G3 using KK Locker as the lock screen? I dont want the nav keys to show while im in the lock screen using KK Locker. I have xposed. I tired immersive mode app and it doesnt work on the lock screen just in the app it self.
BUMP
Have you tried Settings > Display > Home Touch Buttons > Hide Home Touch Buttons?

Yes I need a way to disable them on the lockscreen only.
You might have to email the app dev

You could try using App Settings module for xposed that can set to hide navbar and notification bar. Or you could use Widgetlocker instead wich works fine for me.

Widget Locker doesnt work like the android L lockscreens out there. Thats why Im not using it. I will try that and see if I can hide the nav bar using KK Locker. The issue I run into is it will hide the nav bar but only in the app. Not on the lock screen when running the app. Since the app is a lock screen.

That app does not allow you to hide the Nav bar at all. So no go. If it allowed to hide the nav bar it would work 100%. Need a nav bar option.

What do you mean by "it doesn't work like android L lockscreens out there"?
Weird about App Settings, Inmersive mode does not help?. Then you might need to ask the developer to add that option, if other lockscreens hide them, it can be done.
You could also try "Force Immersive Mode on certain apps" xposed module. I don't tried it, but who knows.
So, has anyone figured this out? Toggling "Expanded" (CM11) does the job, but then I only want the actual lockscreen of KK Locker to be expanded. I'd really really like to have my softkeys always visible elsewhere.
KK Locker now has a setting for this. Swipe left, adjust settings and change to KK nav bar and you won't have a problem with Androids nav bar.
Ca somebody point me in the right direction...probably substratum plugin, i just want the navbar to always behave like its on the home screen transparent with the buttons only.
Download Custom Navigation Bar. No root required. Just a simple adb command and then you can make the buttons transparent.

I think he want a totally inverted version of that. LoL
Transparent bar with Button.
Am using custom navbar app as well. And i believe there's no option for that, yet.
I think its because, if the bar is transparent all the time, we wont be able to see the button when we open an app or web page with bright/white background.
So yeah, I want to change the colour of my status bar and navigation bar on my OnePlus 5T. I have already ROOTED and installed the Xposed Framework, so I'm pretty much good to go.
So, how do I do it?

Install Gravity Box from Xposed's Download Section and color away.

Thank you for commenting! Gravity Box seems very handy, but it doesn't get the job done. Gravity Box only colours the icons, and not the navbar/statusbar itself. I want a 100% black navbar and statusbar at all times, with pure white icons, so that they stand out.
