How to Install

I chose option - Z1 C6903 LB
and it work fine on my locked bootloader but I manually flashed gapps, flashed stock kernel via flashtool by checking everything in "EXCLUDE" on flashtool except "KERNEL", use [NUT]'s recovery to fix the resolution of recovery then flashed SuperSU.zip
But I cant flash OTA updates via TWRP because it gives me error

Why are you flash custom gapps, if this rom already have it?
And OTA can be apply on clean version 4.8.15 NOT modified
Working fine in Xperia Z1 Compact Locked Bootloader.

oh no gapps needed. Ill reflash then. But is it ok to use LB instead of UB for locked??
and is it really needed to use [NUT]'s recovery again to fix large TWRP resolution?

No, use Security - Permission - Root permission - Enable
ok well done my friend I am using it now. And its perfect because it is using stock sony camera and stock equalizer(e.g. w/ clear bass, clear stereo)

No, it's based on the stock firmware, but MIUI, which contains all the charm of Stock firmware (effects sony, camera, etc)
Incidentally 4k mode installs and runs fine :highfive:

It's not in the settings security, it's an app pre-installed with miui called security in which you find what you are looking for.
Thanks to Russel for making this, I'm also running one of the first versions as a daily driver but I wonder if there is a way to enable 4g/lte permanently instead of changing on every reboot or running an app to control it.
Right now I'm using intelli3g to make it switch but would be nice to just have it working like stock rom.

In the last version you can choose network preferred type in options. See screenshot in first post

Hi , you have to edit a file with SQlite editor ( playstore ) , located inside
data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db/global
Look for : prefered network mode and edit the info inside, 2 is for wcdma only , i dont know the number for LTE but try 9 and reboot ,this will enable it permanently after reboots as a default setting

Top of the rom:
It took 3 to 4 minutes the first boot after installation
The first thing we give root permissions (the application is in a folder on the desktop called and center system) and reboot
Recomendation:
Lower time screen animations, for it will settings / options for development / animation scale, we changed from 1 to 0.5
No killing apps constantly
Note: backups of CM7, CM9, are inconsistent due to changes in the partitions.
Please be sure to be first in the correct version of Android before restoring

Why I can not download or apply themes?
Xiaomi need an account to download themes and to apply them correctly.
It fits the theme?
A problem with the dpi does not fit well the subject:
320 fits well no glitches, everything goes very big ....
240 does not fit well, but on other issues fits well and without errors

I install it on my GT P1000. It is good, but have few issues. It's slower and not smoother like MIUI v4, and I have many crashes of ***MIUI SYSTEM***. Is this a problem only on my tab or it is from the ROM itself ?

I have not had any problems with miuisystem.apk, however settings.apk fails with the sd-external, this bug is version 3.3.29
Governor and frequency can change, development options also change the animation speed from 1 to 0.5, you can limit the process to 3
Miui is a system that requires a lot of RAM and tab stops short at times.

fc, settings.apk by external sd, this duplicated apk permissions (but one works well)
I have not had fc Miuisystem.apk, please reinstall the rom with full wipe

I guess it is a framework issue.

Permissions manager and miuisystem.
Wifi tethering works but i can't connect internet with any other device via wifi tethering.

using french galaxy tab
was using miui 4 ics from here, everything worked fine except gps.
I installed miui 5, no real problem with installation. wiped everything.
first boot : system ui fc + can't detect sim card
setuped root permission : no changes
installed the patch : no changed, still fc at start and still no operators detected
rebooted on recovery, wiped everything again, reinstalled miui 5, immediatly installed patch, rebooted : result is many fc at start and can't even pass through first config (system ui, xiaomi system fc)
rebooted recovery again, reinstalled miui 5 : still system ui fc ans still no sim card detection
tried to setup root permissions : root management fc
still testing, but might go back miui ics

Flash latest Philz recovery.Ensure that you previously had any KITKAT ROM installed e.g Ozcan or Omega ROM. Now boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset and dalvik cache, goto install menu option then tick Signature Verification (it will tell you Signature Verification Enabled) install MIUI ROM. It is important that previous ROM is KITKAT BASED or else you will get installation error.

20140928 11:27PM : I found a error with OTA-Updater when you clean flash the Miui 4.9.28. I forgot to add OTA Updater Application. So I made a OTA-Fix patch for Clean Flashed Users.

If you are using 4.9.21 now, You can update your ROM via OTA-Update-Center (non Official Miui Updater)

If you don't have signal after flashing, go to setting - stock setting - Korea Hiddenmenu - Change CDMA registration type to USIM (Not NV)
I recommend Philz touch as recovery.
If you want to use cool kernels at Kitkat Based Miui, use jolla-kernel or Solid kernel.

well, not a bad idea but I wish someone could work on Color OS. It's really a nice ROM but left isolated. a vietnamese dev did some to it but no one after.

If you download OTA from phone's update center, then you CAN'T apply it
Download OTA from second post and install from custom recovery
Never try apply OTA from phone's update center

I have version 4.9.19 installed and the OTA is only from 4.9.26. How do I install 4.9.26 without reinstalling/resetting my MIUI installation?

Yes, you must install MIUI 4.9.26, but when you installing, choose update ROM in AROMA. You are NOT lose your apps and configs

Location service not working.. Tried all combinations - GPS, WLAN and mobile network.
Hlo HDHR the ROM is awesome...bt only there is two prblm that I face
1- Heating issue
2- speaker sound is too low..I can't able to hear when someone is calling me...even in music

1- Bro its not heating, its over heating and i ask my frnds in respect of this who are using mi smartphones and they also told me that they r facing heating issues in MIUI 8.1 so thats why mi provides them a 8.2 update......there r some minor prblms in rom other wise rom is good?✌

Yaa internal memory gets full only by installing some apps....Right know i don't get any thumbnail or any other file who is taking too much space..Hopefully HDHR will know what is the prblm ?

Yes. It is a very annoying and weird problem in MIUI ROMs for a7k reported by many users...
I've not seen any fix yet.
