Has anyone had any issues while Charging with the cable that came with phone?(yes I've tried others) My issue is phone Will charge to 88% and stop but says still Charging. It Will Not increase unless I dissconnect and reconnect cable. Then it Will only go up 5% . I have to repeat this 5 times to achieve a full charge. I spoke with a tmobile tech and he told me it could be because I have certain apps like showbox and Google now launcher, really never had this issue before. This began even before i rooted phone. Any suggestions? Phone is stock with root and exposed but problem began before root remember so don't blame exposed, never dropped or touched liquid.

I would swap/warranty exchange that phone. I only charge my phone with it turned off, but it fully charges every time. We have 3 LG G3s in the household and none have ever done this. It sounds like the battery may be bad though.
No problem here

You stated it was doing this before root. Was it also before these apps? Have you tried a factory reset to see if it corrects the issue?
I got it out of the box with the issue. When I put in my Gmail it automatically loaded them apps. I talked to tech, removed the apps in question and it worked. Rooted about a week and still worked, removed tmobile bloat still worked. All of a sudden with nothing new added in weeks my problem has returned. Also have done factory reset with no luck

Pretty much sounds like a hardware malfunction

I don't got problems with listening to music, maybe some app is messing your phone. if you can't find the problem do a "Factory data reset", if this doesn't help you can bring the phone back and get a new one. It can always be a faulty phone.
My Arc sometimes reboots on me too but not randomly. It's always when it's doing something that maxes the CPU and I switch between apps simultaneously. It's quite annoying, no doubt. My old Desire never did this.
Hoping for a future fw update!

It's being reported in the SE forum as well. You don't notice the reboot unless u put your phone within your view the whole day. Thats when you will notice the random reboots.

I'm pretty confident its caused by buggy software and not broken hardware.
Looking forward to flashing some custom roms and kernels to get around this and up the perfomance
15 times
my arc have randomly rebooted at least 15 times in the past 3 days. it's so annoying. what's that thing with stuffing tissue paper on the back does it work?
i've reflashed mines twice now, and done reset to factory default on top of that after the second flash for good measure, and it's still rebooting when it feels like it. i uninstalled a weather widget, and i got almost 5 hours of constant uptime. i'm about to reflash it again and not install anything, maybe just battery monitor so i can tell how many hours/minutes i can get before it reboots again.
i read about the battery fit, and i have tried various things to try and see if that was the issue, but nothing physical seems to make it reboot, and like some others, i have seen it reboot when the lcd is off and the phone isn't doing anything.
i'd really like to be able to use this arc!
mine just had the first random reboot...first I thought that the battery was all drained out but then realised after switching it back on that it was at 20%...
the phone was on idle, locked...weird!!!
Just had my first random reboot after a months use, was using google nav while charging from the cigarette lighter. Quite annoying as i was trying to find my way somewhere and suddenly realised i hadnt had any instructions for a while. The phone had gotten quite hot - i think google nav must work it pretty hard.

If you use the home button to switch between recent apps a lot (i do) then it's pretty obvious if your phone's been rebooted as the recently used apps list is empty, so i'm fairly sure this is the first time my phone's rebooted on its own.
Random reboot here, too. ^^
I was typing an email with Google Mail app (with wifi and mobile data connection turned off, actually), when the screen became all coarse and broken (does anyone remember old DOS games crashes? ^^) and then it rebootet. Everything fine afterwards except for my email, which was gone.

Hi all,
I have a fairly frequent issue with my Glide Captivate. Unfortunately too frequently, when I turn it on, the network is disabled (O with slash through it), most widgets say "Loading Widget..." the slide down status menu shows nothing (well except the Wifi / BT / GPS toggles.) and "USB Connected" if it is. Nothing else. The phone gets incredibly hot, and near as I can tell sucks the battery. The screen often won't unlock - it will just light up the 4 soft buttons on the bottom (menu, home, etc). When I CAN get on it, I get frequent "Sorry! Process system is not respoding"
Attempting to go through System / Manage Applications - usually about a minute in the screen will blank for a minute then go back to the lock screen.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Try re flashing the rom, if you're using one. If you're not using a rom, and it's not rooted, try restoring it?

Stock rom, it is rooted. Unfortunately, restoring it is the fix - like every week
Could be a hardware issue if you have a warrenty i would complain and try and get a new one which means you need to flash a non rooted stock rom i dont know if you can do this ive never had to remove root

Hey i had the same issue for months with my glide. I bought it outright from rogers and was just running it stock. Drove me nuts exchanged the phone 3 times. Finally narrowed it down to the media scanner/sd card issue. The scanner would run a few times and then reboot the phone. I tried booting it without the sd card in and booted up fine. Tried a dew diff sd cards and seem to have found one that works, but it would happen once every few weeks for me. Ive looked it up on the forums its that common problem with samsung phones. Pain in the butt. Cant remember if you said you were rooted id recommend trying that im too chicken myself. Happens on my sgs2 also.

I have also this issue once in a while, its very annoying, I think that if we could have a AOSP rom that would fix it since samsung polluted their rom so much. Maybe if we get lucky, with the ICS/JB update that issue will be gone. I have also another issue, the phone randomly turns "off" and becomes really hot, it depends on how long it takes for me to realize, but most of the time, it has drained my battery to near death. I don't think those are hardware related issues, but more on the software side since its not AOSP.
Does the temperature rise when it's charging? Because that happens to my phone too. If you have the voltage control, try lowering the max cpu use to lower the temperature a little bit.

1.Okay so I was holding my phone while it was charging and it dropped from my hand around 5 and a half feet. Now keep In mind I have an otter box and a screen protector so dont freak out lol. I nervously picked up my phone thinking I had cracked the screen on tile but it was fine of course. (Otter box) anyways, I noticed my Samsung charger is not working after that. Other chargers work on my phone, but for some reason mine doesn't work with my phone!
The weird thing is, the charger, (my original Samsung charger) works on every other phone except mine! And other chargers work on my phone... So idk what to do about this. Now, I started getting weird issues with my phone like apps started force closing, the phone was like super slow and was like rebooted like factory reset style but then it shows all my apps and exits me out of the startup screen. This is just like freaky weird.
2. I made a twrp backup successfully and then installed whomp with no issues at all thinking it would solve my charger issue to no avail. (Standard troubleshooting)
3. When I tried troubleshooting meaning going back to my original whomp it like showed no backups at all...so I was like ??????! I installed whomp again and when to my files it showed up in my twrp folder but not under backups in recovery.... So Idk what to do.
4. I've noticed that titanium backup doesn't show under backups anymore either and problems 3 and 4 started after I started seeing this "0" in the following pic.
If anyone can answer any of my troubleshoot questions I'd be greatly appreciative. Please put the number of the problem you're addressing as well.
Thanks.

I am getting random reboots on my HTC m8 for Verizon, and I'm not quite sure why. The last one happened while I was browsing in Chrome, and a previous one happened when I was doing some other random task like browsing twitter. I am rooted via WeakSauce with s-on using exposed modules through soft reboots (not sure of this has anything to do with it) . Another thing, when I reboot, it sticks at the Verizon splash screen and I have to manual reboot via vol up and power button.
Also, my phone is getting pretty hot sometimes and I'm not sure why, any tips or possible explanations?

Well I'm inclined to think it's one of the Xposed modules causing your issue. Best way to check is with a Logcat if you can recreate the issue.
I doubt I could recreate the issue because it happens super randomly... I guess if it gets too bad, I'll just quit using my xposed and see if that fixes it

I have the same problem and so does 2 of my colleagues who are completely stock (not even unlocked/rooted). For me it usually happens while not doing anything with the phone though. It can just be sitting on my desk and suddenly reboot. It's insanely annoying and I can't seem to find any good information on the subject.
Well I also just started having some random reboot for whatever reason... Phone was also just on desk and rebooted itself for whatever reason. Funny enough though, my battery life was 96% when I last checked the phone could have drained a little bit more, but after the reboot it shows my battery as being 100% fully charged =o/
If you're stock, this isn't normal. Contact HTC about possible replacement.

Yeah it's semi-stock perhaps. I did put on TWRP again, it's rooted, unlocked bootloader(of course, else no root right?). It was fine the whole time until I installed the xposed framework and some modules, even then I've had it on for about a week and nothing happened until this morning. I took the framework off and of course also the modules, will see if it happens again in the next week or so... :fingers-crossed: that it doesn't.

Hi guys,
So I was having the same problem with random reboots. I got frustrated and thought to just root and change to a GPE ROM. In the process of doing that I rooted and installed SetCPU. I discovered that the clock speed was 2265 and the minimum spped was set to 1958 by default. I felt like this was weird because that means the processor is running near full speed at all times (thus why the phone would get warm). To test I set the phone at max 2265 and min 2265. Almost immediately after reboot the phone started to get very warm. So, I changed the min to 1574 and then rebooted. It has been two weeks with:
no reboots
slightly better battery life than before
phone does not get warm
I have the T-Mobile HTC One M8. I wonder if the constant high speed was intentional. I had to exchange my phone twice before trying this. I even tried using the phone before installing third party apps and it would still reboot. I am rooted with s-on and stock recovery and now I don't feel the need to install another ROM.
Hope this helps for some of you!!
good looking out there. However I most likely won't be changing my ROM due to it working fairly nicely with my JVC KW-NSX700 car stereo. Mirrorlink seems to be functional with a quirk here or there.
Oh, I'm still running the stock sense rom

Well, this is good news. I'm going to be getting rid of my Nexus 5 for one of the... Ones... here shortly. Poor speaker and microphone quality are just two things I can't deal with anymore with the Nexus 5.
Seems like HTC tried to just have the CPU running too hot, figuratively and literally. Underclock down to like....1958 max, and it should be fine then. I know my Nexus doesn't like being run at a max of 2258 for very long, if at all. I'll get random reboots on stock vanilla android, and ParanoidAndroid.
Hi not been on here for a while as I had a great phone and not needed to alter anything (g2) but I've had a g3 for the last few months and it's been nothing but trouble. 5.0 finally fixed the lag . But now my battery life seems to be going twice as fast as before and it's not worth using yet again. Android system is draining roughly 30% of my battery more if I don't have the screen on. Any suggestions on anything to try? I'm currently backing up what I can to do a reset. As I haven't done a reset since back when I had my o3d can anyone recommend an app to use for backing stuff up without root? And anything in particular that I may loose and need to keep an eye out for? Thanks from a very frustrated g3 owner

I upgraded to 5.0 and had the same battery problem, so i reset the phone TWICE. Now battery is lasting more. since I use a sd card I never make backups of my internal memory.
Ok thanks I have reset mine and have got most of it restored now was mostly worried about apps and settings. Haven't really had chance to see how it goes on battery life yet fingers crossed. Thanks

Try @spiderio script. Flash it on recovery. It only works with stock kernel.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/tweaks-lollipop-interactive-battery-t2951327
Just an update a factory reset appears to have cured it could still do with a couple of normal days use to confirm that it's not just placebo effect though. I'm assuming the above script is for root which I have promised myself I won't do until warranty is out but that does remind me that my g2 is now 14 months old may have to root that

I am having a few issues since upgraded to 5.0 yes battery drains in no time, but also having a lot of problems with my wifi, it always disconnects sometimes disconnects and then doesn't see wifi networks for a while, also becomes laggy - LG says there are not issues with the G3 and told me to factory reset(which I've already done!) so now they offered a repair?
I think it is an issue with the rom rather than something to repair!
I've heard the only way to roll back is flashing a rooted 4.4 but how do I do that if I am stuck with an unrooted 5.0 which doesnt have root yet? ?
To be honest my lag seems fixed by 5.0 but battery life was useless. Lag from New was awful though and I'm not sure what to make of WiFi I think it still does that but I'm not sure
