Tray flashing 10H or 10J if that doesn't fix the problem i suggest you to look for possibility to replace your phone.

You don't need to ROOT your phone to flash a firmware, that's just an update. And for unlocking a bootloader, hmmm much much smarter people than we are not able to do that, not yet.
I have branding Plus operator... That is problem, because I don't have a update, not yet... Maybe I wait for update, and update... So if I have an update do next firmware, I will updated a G3... But it maybe problem with firmware, because a lot of people have the same problem with me... If the update isn't remove this bug, I will send my smarthphone to the service...
A lot of people have the same problem with me, so if they have a update to the newest firmware this bug with shutdown are removed...

You don't need to wait for OTA update you can update using a .kdz file.
Here is a guide how to do that:

But what is with my warranty ?

Updating your phone will not avoid your warranty.
And what is even better you can always go back to stock firmware.
Here you can see stock .kdz files.

v10h or v10j fixes the issue for some people, me being one of them. I had restarts on v10e, running v10h now having no problems for 2 weeks at least. Granted, there are people that still experienced shutdowns or restarts even after updating to v10h or v10j

Hello Everyone,
Hopefully this issue can be solved, as I'm using stock Android JB 4.1.2 (E97510h-EUR-XX) on my device and there is no LTE option in:
- System Settings> More...> Mobile Networks> Network Mode
Now, I believe it can be enabled by making a change to persist.radio.lteon as found here:
However, it requires root access and as far as I'm aware, there is no root exploit for E97510h-EUR-XX at this time:
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2163814&page=5
Here are my questions:
1. Is there any method to replace or edit persist.radio.lteon without rooting my device?
2. If 1 is not an option, is there any method to successfully root my device?
3. If 2 is possible, can I unroot and will this process be undetectable?
Any help is much appreciated :good:

He hasn't bought a Korean Optimus G, but an E975. But for some reason if you put a SIM card from one carrier in the phone you cannot choose LTE, but if you put in a SIM from a different carrier you get the option to choose LTE. That's because LG has had the brilliant idea to block LTE for some carriers on an LTE enabled phone.
You can try contacting LG so they release an update so that LTE will be enabled for your carrier, but it would be faster to root your phone and adjust the build.prop like you said in the first post.

Why bother putting Korean software on your European phone and risk having a bad experience (due to the fact that Korean software is guess what optimized for Korean carriers)? When you can just root your device and change the build .prop which is less trouble and less risky to perform than to put a Korean software on it.
But to answer the question of the TS. You can root the E975 10 H firmware. I used Framaroot, and it works fine. You can read all about in the thread FAQ (Freaking Annoying Questions) in the Q and A section.

risky ? how can be risky .. so people here happily flashing third party roms and that's alright and when try to use original official rom then is risky ????! man are you OK?
optimized for their carriers ? no .. only APPS are included .. and those apps can be easily ignored ..
i think that your buildprop editing is risky .. ordinary people wont be messing with customizing files
wait for carrier till end of march then
I dont need to read nothing for me all working am enjoying LTE(4G) u dont it is your problem what u do ..
do what u want ..
Chill out dude. I'm only trying to help the TS out. He didn't ask anything about flashing a ROM, only to solve his problem with or without root.
Flashing any custom ROM is more risky than rooting a device. As it involves more steps then just rooting. So why make it hard for yourself?
Flashing a Korean ROM would mean flashing a KDZ file (that's the way I changed the E975 10 H back to E975 10 D) and that process probably changes the baseband of your phone(which is not the right one for the E975), so it could definitely influence the experience and battery life, etc.
You say that ordinary people won't mess with the build.prop file but they won't have any problem with flashing a Korean ROM?
BTW: There is no need in quoting the very last post everytime you make a comment, as it is clear what you're replying on.

That quote button has reason to be there .. that is why am using it ... And people know which answer belongs to particular person ..
for me is easy flash kdz ... and then obviously u need to flash modem back .. that is not hard too ..
And u are right in only one thing .. yes when people changing roms flashing then phone drains battery .. yes when I converted to E975 my F180S battery was very very bad .. I flashed original korean back and battery is much much better .
Like I said you can try korean if no leave it and wait for carrier to sort it out .. but they have time tho
No one here recommends to flash korean kdz in international versions nd vice versa too... Try some othr rooting methods nd try to change the build.prop.... Have yu tried moto chopper root method...??
Edit: looks lyk moto chopper method doesn't help yu... Yu cant yu downgrade ur software nd root it....

I don't think that they have started really pushing out Marshmallow yet, but there are some leaked builds floating around. Check this thread out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3249803 Someone can probably help you in that thread. I have Verizon so I'm unable to flash any of those builds, so I don't know much about the process. I do believe you have to have root though (may be wrong).
It also depends on what version of the G4 that you have. What carrier are you on?

Download LG bridge and install it. Plug in the phone and click on software update. I'm in UK with h815 also and there was an update for marshmallow in there, although for various reasons I downgraded again to lollipop. When I checked again to see if the update was there, it wasn't. So do keep checking. Hope it helps
Im in UK as well. Is your G4 factory Unlocked or on a carrier. So far as I know, of the carriers only Vodaphone UK have started rolling MM out... but the likes of EE, 3, O2.. Virgin.. will probably come after xmas now. Im on EE myself and i dont hold any hope seeing MM till early January.
Goto "Settings" > "General" tab > "About Phone" > "Software Info."... if the software version is: v10J-EUR-XX, then its factory unlocked and you could get MM any time now.
Hope that helps
you will need to wait until it comes to your door step.

It'll tell you which is the latest firmware for your phone.

Hey guys,
when trying to unlock the bootloader the official way, I get the error message
"Unfortunately, your device(Taiwan , (TAIWAN) )does not support unlocking the bootloader."
LG support has not responded yet, but the message indicates what their answer will be.
Is there any way to get the bootloader unlocked other than having LG send the unlock code?
I found several threads all over the internet with people describing the same problem, but no solution was posted. Since all those threads are from mid-2015, I was wondering if anyone found a solution by now.
If you find a solution , please let me know .

I asked the LG developer support. All they replied so far was that by company policy, they do not allow models other than "European market" to be unlocked at the moment.
I answered that I am not satisfied with this "policy" and that I'd like a reason for them to block customers from their freedom of choice what to do with their devices. No answer yet - will post here when I get one.

LP yes. but i seen 2 different post claiming root on MM with locked bootloader.
It's easiest to just downgrade to Lollipop via LGUP. Though it still took me a while to find the right pre-rooted image to flash on my phone.
I just completed the process of using LGUP to rollback to Lollipop v10c, and then rooted it. Surprisingly I was even able to get Xposed framework installed with the bootloader locked. I guess the only thing I'm really missing is TWRP, but I can live without it.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

not so sure ... but LG has removed the team the worked on past phones and eithe has a new team or will be not making any more phones. .... g5 sales arent too good...
I've the H815 V20d-TWN-XX 6.0 MM with sec. patch level 2016-06-01, and as I've read, no way to unlock bootloader for this model, so frustrating.
I was hoping at least to find a way to have this particular G4 version rooted with the bootloader locked, does anyone know how can this be done?
Been looking for a solution but haven't found anything so far, I'd just flash a previous version but some people wrote in other threads that this 20d has noticeable battery improvements...
So any help with, as for now, the best way to go to get root access in this device, is very much appreciated. I've been trying to do this for weeks
Thanks!

There may be an unofficial way.

:good::highfive:
Waiting for crossflashing maybe this month we will have it. :highfive:
Do not try to crossflash! It will brick! First we must have working crossflashing between carriers, then crossflash to U carrier firmware , then flash this OTA.
Có ai thử chưa nhỉ?
Did anyone try?
I tried to fota flash this but i'm on v500n11o not v500n11n so it failed

I did the downgrade to august patch and flashed ota .
Its too laggy very slow witg many bugs
It seems that LG is pushing the 10 beta to all koreans vi aota update.
To be able to receive it you must sign in in Quick Help app.
Unfortunately we have 2 problems:
1. Korean menu
2. We need a Korean lg account. I've tried creating one, also Facebook login, but it signs out me. Unfortunately I don't have the time to test with VPN. Also after successfully login we still need to go through the menu in korean language and sign in for the beta.
Maybe someone from Korea would help us. Maybe he can directly saveand give us the OTA. It will be downloaded on the main storage in a hidden folder.
Please help us if you live in Korea either with an account and menu step by step to subscribe to beta, or with the OTA saved as zip. Thx.

I was able to sign up for an LG account using a Google account so I am able to navigate the Quick Help app. But since I don't know Korean, I have been taking screenshots and using Google Translate to try to navigate. It's painful and slow and I have yet to find anything. I wonder if the OTA simply gets pushed over time after you sign up in the Quick Help app. I've tried using a VPN to South Korea and checking for an update manually in the system settings but nothing has popped up. I may try to find some one locally that speaks Korean to help me out, unless some one already knows what to do in the Quick Help app?

Good news and bad news.

Bad news is that I didn't find the beta enrollment join program. It's not available yet. Daaaamn.
I've spent like 2 hours translating screenshots with Google Lens...
This is 19a for the 3 Korean variants
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v50-thinq/development/fota-v50-korean-android-10-beta-19a-t3995611
Definitely works for kt variant as that is what I have now upgraded.

Thx. I also have it. Does call recording work for you? For me it worked, but I somehow messed up debloating and it doesn't work now. Can you confirm is working for you?

Hello all - I own the V50 Korean version (V500N) -- which rom should I flash, KT, SKT, or LGU? Also, what version of the current software should I be at prior to flashing? Thanks

Hello. It depends on what carrier your V50 will be. You should flash the carrier's one. For KT and U carriers you must be on v11o - September patch
For SKT carrier it will be v11q. But Kan, who has SKT, is having problems in installing it. Just be sure you don't upgrade to October patch by mistake.
LG-UP 1.16 does not support crossflashing, even korean carrier.
