[Q]RegionLock on S4 Mini

Did anyone of u update to the new firmware > MK*+ from november or new KitKat and got his phone locked by RegionLock ?
This mostly happened when u got a phone from a different region and u use it in other region. For example u buy phone in India and u use it in europe
Thanks
I appreciate the information. I was about to launch KK Russia in my gt-i9192.
Thank you:
Nope....
I am from India and my I9195 is not officially sold here. My schoolmate bought this device 5 months back from UK or Dubai.(Not sure where) It had UK unbranded JellyBean firmware and then I immediately updated it to brazil jb and I never had network issues.
Even with kitkat firmwares I did not face network issues. Do you mean RegionLock results in unidentified networks in other regions? If so then my s4 mini is not locked.
Well RegionLock is official on Note 3 and S5 . Thought our phone will get it too with an update. I am glad it did not

[Q] Downgrade LG G3

Hi everyone,
First of all, I'm a new member to XDA and English is not my native language but i think it is save to say that I am an advanced Android user and that I control my English quite well.
Now this is my problem:
I upgraded my LG G3 to Android 5.0, but I want to downgrade again because i want to root my device first and install TWRP recovery.
As far as i know there is no other way of rooting Android 5.0 than already having custom recovery, but correct me if im wrong.
I have been searching for a way to downgrade but without success.
So here comes my question: How do i downgrade my LG G3 D855 (European) from 5.0 to 4.4.2?
If there is someone that can make me a tutorial on rooting Android 5.0, please do.
I would like to know the same.
first , read this list : http://www.mylgphones.com/lg-g3-firmware-checking-the-software-version-and-update-history
then go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2791761 and choose the kdz file for your phone,
here : how to use the LG flash tool 2014 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
take into consideration that the suffix " A6 " is for 16 gigas phones.
Alright thx man, I'll be trying it soon!

I downloaded the european 10A one but after installing it, my g3 went in a bootloop. I cant download the Dutch ones because those are 20e which is Android 5.0
Which one should i download?
I'm from the Netherlands by the way and i bought my phone at Vodafone (might be some usefull info)

can you access to recovery or download mode now?
Well, I flashed 20a again, which is android 5.0
I think I have to use the other flash methode that resets my phone to downgrade but I don't have the time on my hands to go through backing everything up and setup my phone again.

so you didnt click on CSE Flash on the LG Flash tool. I'm still dealing with lollipop 20f, battery drains a lot.
Nope, I used normal flash which put my g3 in a bootloop. But apparently I have to use the other option when downgrading.

likely because you are going back to dalvik without clearing the cache.
Yeah probably, but I don't have a lot of time on my hands right now. I'll try this again in a week or so because when it doesn't work I won't have a stable phone anymore

LG-H815L or LG-H815 ?

I am planing to buy LG G4 and here in Israel there are 2 models. LG-H815L and LG-H815, the LG-H815 model is cheaper and doesnt come with second battery and charger for the battery. I dont know whats the diference between the 2 models. The sell person told me that the LG-H815 is unnoficial and doesnt have FOTA and will not receive updates from LG. I asm new to this and I even dont know what is FOTA. Can someone please explain me the diference between these 2 models.
Thank you.
Hi,
The L model comes with a 2 years warranty from Ronlight (which is the official distributor of LG smartphones in Israel) plus all the accessories you mentioned , it also comes with Hebrew language enabled and FOTA updates which won't remove Hebrew. There is no difference in the hardware of the 2 models.
With this in mind the European model has the advantage of an official boot unlock available which the L model currently does not offer. If you are not interested in unlocking the bootloader right now I think the L model is a better choice.
Thank you very much for explaining. I will do as you suggested. For now I dont need to unlock the bootloader. In the future probably will have official boot unlock.

LG G8 Sprint unlocked stuck at april 2019 update

HI,
I bought a Sprint Unlocked LG G8 , love the phone, but it stuck at g820u10i 2019 firmware , ota doesnt work , it just tells me Im already up to date , I reside overseas but I can buy a sprint sim from eBay if that works (maybe it is similar to the att ones?) .
Also sprint doesnt releases their kdz´s so thats another problem , I would like to know if theres a way to get the official otas directly from the phone .
I have already tried setting it up without the sim card , and then turning on wifi and it didnt work.
Any help would be appreciated , cheers.
Tried with LG Bridge and LG Support , powered on and in download mode.
Still nothing
LG Bridge says that couldnt find the device
LG Support Tool says that the device is up to date
I have the same problem
i try to cross flash the latest US OP KDZ (G820UM20j_00_USC_US_OP_0607) or CA OP KDZ(G820UM20j_00_OPEN_CA_OP_0120) on the phone but the LG UP will mention not allow to change a US sprint to US OP(CA OP) and could not proceed the flashing.

I'd suggest you both look at this thread.
@ThatLatinGuy if you're out of the country, no reason to want to keep Sprint firmware so might as well crossflash it to a rom that might work where u are.
cheers
Thanks Bro, let me try it.
