The Canadian variant of the G3 (D852) is not qi compatible but only works with the PMA standard like the AT&T model. At the moment there is no workaround to enable qi charging (it is not known for certain if this is a hardware or software issue), and there is no retailer that offers the PMA-compatible quickcircle case in Canada.
Give it some time. I'm sure something will come up in the future.

I hope it's software related
I'm going to be following this thread going for an update for my Rogers G3
Any update on this? I just got a Fido G3 and I want to use my existing qi chargers.

So I am planning on getting the at&t version of the LG G3 and I was wondering whether it is compatible with qi or pma. I know that At&t is pushing for people to buy the Duracell powermat and I know that the international version is qi. So the question is, did at&t change their version of the phone to support pma because they have a major stakes in it?

Nope. It's Qi only. But the US models don't support it out of the box, you'll need to find a G3 back that is Qi compatible for the G3 (most likely from a European model)
I had a F400S until I broke it and I'm not a fan of losing qi charging with my D850.I want to get a F460 (G3 "Cat 6") which appears to work in ATT can anyone confirm this? Also has it been rooted yet like the standard G3? I figured if I'm getting another I might as well get the F460 with the SD805 because why not.
Members with the F460 do you think its worth it? Have you found a qi back for it? I know its different than the standard Korean model.
I located the bands for it and it will work on ATT LTE, now I need to see if anyone has found a qi case/cover/something. I've looked on eBay and various websites but I haven't seen anything for the F460. Has anyone found a qi compatible back of sorts yet?
I was wondering if I get a D855 replacement cover, will it work with the D850. In this way, I don't need to buy the extra AT&T stuff. Thanks.

If you just want a replacement cover it will fit and NFC should work. But for wireless charging the D855 will not work since At&t uses PMA (powermat) and the D855 and the rest of the LG G3 phones use Qi.
Hello Guys,
I went back to my Nexus 5 from an AT&T LG G3. I didn't know about about the PMA (I have QI chargers everywhere), and I wasn't sure about the Snapdragon 801 when there's a version with the 805.
So, I'm thinking about getting the latest korean version with 32GB, 3GB, 805 and QI-compatible hardware, but I'm confused with the models. What is the latest, and which one works with AT&T's LTE network? Tried searching, but everybody talks about a different model.
Also, what's the best place to order it? Do you guys recommend it? Or should I wait to see the Nexus 5/6 2014?
(G3 sub forum.. I believe you like it, but I expect honest opinions)
Thank you guys in advance!

I have the F460S (G3 with the SD805) and it works on Att. I believe that all of the Korean ones have the same bands if I recall correctly. I like my Korean one more than my Att D850. It doesn't work as hard or get as hot as the Att one which is good. There are some OPs discussing the F460 if you look in this forum. You have to get the quick circle case for the cat 6 model to get the qi (just remove the sticker and put it in your back cover). I'm glad that I got the F460 its a great phone.

Awesome! So F460S works on AT&T. F460 is the F460S or they're different models?
Also, does it come with much bloat? Where did you get?
Thanks
What about this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-G3-Cat6-...60764?pt=Cell_Phones&var=&hash=item33948add9c
It's the cheapest listing on eBay.. The seller says that LTE may not work in the US, but for AT&T it should, right?
Thanks

All Korean models have the same bands from what I remember. The S is SKT (South Korea Telecom) and it has a ton of bloat. Thankfully it's simple to remove 99% of it, only 1 or two things need root to remove. I like the S model because of the logo on the back and that's the only reason that I can think of... The F460 S/K/L should all work on ATT so I wouldn't worry. It was the same way with the F400 S/K/L. I also had a F400S and it was fine on Att.
The only real differences between all of the models are:
Logo on back cover
Pre-installed bloat
Unless I'm forgetting something that should be it. I would double check that of you like. Here is the link discussing the F400 S/K/L variants and bands(460 should be the same)

I'd you have any other questions that you need answered, I will be happy to help the best that I can.

It will definitely work on Att, as for the model I like the S but some people buy the K/L models because they tend to be cheaper.
Hey all,
Just a question I've got out of pure curiousity, would the LG G3 LTE-A (LG Prime, LG G3 Prime) work in countries apart from Korea?
This one for example: http://tinyurl.com/po27mqs
I know it's the version made just for Korea to work with their LTE-A bands, but it does say it's unlocked, so could you use it internationally in a country like the US or Australia? As I said I'm just curious, but if someone bought one and wanted to use it like the D855 International version, could they use it like the D855 in other countries, but with the slightly upgraded hardware?
And as for the software-side, they wouldn't be able to just flash updated D855 KDZs, right? They'd have to wait for the software to be released for that specific model of phone (Seeing as LG is based in Korea it wouldn't be that long of a wait)
Hi,
I've got F460K from Korea and it works fine in Poland. I have not any problems with this phone, besides of this, that there isn't many custom roms for that specific model. A few days ago my LG got even upgreade to L :]
