i am facing this strange issue for the last 3 days now. some of my facebook contacts are not showing their photos when i call them or see them in Contacts... Is this an issue with HTC Sense ??? please help

i am using auto sync... still problem persists... i hv reset my phone as well. some pics r there, some show blank

I like to link my phone contacts to my Facebook ones
Ive just had a friend accept my friend request on facebook, he appears on my friend list when i launch the facebook app and via pc
but when i go in via the people section on my phone, he's not on the list of facebook friends ???
Anybody else have this and/or a cure ??

Its done, synced and up to date (as it always is)
the problem is that the last guy i accepted on facebook (and is present when i launch the standalone app or on pc ) is not showing up under the contact list when going in through the link contact route!
ive linked all my other contacts without a fuss
while on people have you clicked on menu > view > and tick all the facebook contacts?

I might just have to let this problem go...its such a small thing but it's really pi**ing me off.
I've rebooted the phone on several occasions, ive logged out and in of facebook several times, nothing seems to want to budge the problem....ive even mailed htc about it !

have you tried updating your facebook contacts in the online directories, in the people application? ive just done it as i was having a problem with no facebook contacts showing up and its now working.

I am having this particular problem for a long time now.
I always link my contacts with facebook. But the new contacts I have created and linked can not update the "contact profile picture" from facebook. Also a few of old contacts people have changed their profile pic on facebook. I can't see the new profile pic as the contact pic.
But apart from this picture problem everything is working perfectly. I get regular updates. Just not changes in profile pic.
Finally I did a format of my HD Mini and put all contacts manually again. But still the problem exists. I can get the facebook updates but none of my contacts have a picture now. Can anyone please help me on this.

Hi! I had the same problem and reported it in the general section of this forum. Here is the solution which worked for me:

I flashed CM-7.1.0 to my wifes incredible and cant get facebook pics to sync to contacts. anyone know of a fix ?

go into facebook and tell it to sync contacts. if the contacts dont match letter for letter the phone wont sync the pics.
There is also an app in the market that will do that as well. I think it is called syncmypix or something like that.

if facebook doesn't sync correctly you can manually do it. go into contacts select the contact you want and edit it. once in the edit hit menu and there should be an option to join. click that and it should find it or you may need to manually find it. I havent ran CM in awhile so its ruff remembering that. but it should be around that.
syncmypix always works for me, never had any issues.

I'm on coredroid v9.2 now and previously i'm on Runnydroid.
I faces the same problem as well.
this is a bit annoying as i need to sync the contact again.
Anyone faces this problem?? or only me??

If i was you i'd go to the ROM devalopers website or fourm and see if you can find any answers there in regards to Facebook and it having problems with authentication.
Chances are you're not the only one with this ROM that uses facebook to sync your contacts. If its a ROM problem someone else would have questioned it.

Do U Open facebook from many places? if yes try to reduce to 2 or 3 maybe even 1 if you can and im assuming ur using sense roms try removing account then re add it still didnt work try reflshing or visiting the website and report for this problem

go back to settings click sync all
or goto drop down panel and turn on sync
i usaully dont worry about it
