[Q] Question about Odin Mode (download mode) - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I was wondering if I possibly have a custom bootloader and can downgrade to carrier unlock?
Odin mode reads as follows
Product Name: SGH-I747
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable
Warranty Bit: 1
Bootloader RP SWREV: 3
OP? Anyone?
Thanks! !!!!

No and no. There are no custom bootloaders for this device.
Once you've been updated to 4 3 or newer you cannot go back and you can't unlock without a code.

Thanks DocHoliday77. I was on family mobile using a Samsung Galaxy Light while my AT&T sat idle waiting for an unlock. I decided to switch to Straight Talk just to use my S3 and I'd have to say I'm happy again. Straight Talk works surprisingly great in my area. Just happy to be using my S3 again. I thank you again and all the developers here on XDA for you wisdom and your time. Very talented folks here!

I can't unlock my S3 T999

Hello guys.
Just few months ago I got an used S3 T999 (T-Mobile). I didn't know so much about how to change the ROM and also root the cellphone, but I found a lot of info in this forum and I learned how to do it. First, I noticed that my S3 had an update available: 4.3 JB (The stock one). When I made the update, few days after I changed the ROM (installing it with the CWM recovery, of course): the CyanogenMod 12.1.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../rom-cyanogenmod-12-t-mobile-samsung-t3055048).
Since that, I've been using that one and I haven't found problems. But really, I thought that I can unlock the cellphone whenever I want with an app that I heard months before I got the cellphone. I tried that one and few more ways but I can't make it... GalaxSim Unlock, Galaxy S Unlock, the code with the phone dialer... Nothing. I've been finding in the whole internet and the only thing I found is: My S3 T999 isn't compatible OR It has to be on 4.1 Stock Version.
When I found that Info I tried to do a downgrade. I were lucky that I didn't brick my S3, because I read about doing a Downgrade when you upgraded your S3 to the 4.3 JB version and the EFS Folder V2 and V1 (about the baseband or whatever). Also I tried to downgrade from the CyanogenMod 12.1 to 4.3 JB and I made it (with that one I tried all ways and I couldn't unlock it. Then I came back to the 12.1.1 CyanogenMod), but I can't make it with an older version and try those ways I said.
If you need more info to make an answer: Yes, I made a backup to the EFS when I made the Upgrade to the CyanogenMod 12.1. YES, my S3 is totally rooted. YES, I installed the correct ROM for my cellphone in all cases (the same model and baseband).
Now (as I said) I have:
- CyanogenMod 12.1.1
- Baseband: T999UVUENC2
About ODIN mode info (I don't know if you need this):
- Warranty Bit: 1
- Bootloader RP SWREV: 1
- Qualcomm SecureBoot: Enable
- Current Binary: Custom
- System Status: Custom
- Product Name: SGH-T999
- Custom Binary Download: Yes (12 counts)
I'll be grateful if you can help me with this. I can't use my network because I'm not T-Mobile User.
Beforehand, thanks.
There is no free method to unlock the phone once you are on the 4.3 bootloader. The phone needs to be using a stock 4.1.1 before you can use the free unlock method.
You will have to get an unlock code and return to a stock dialler in order to enter the unlock code.

So I have to pay for a code (With the IMEI way) and then install a stock version like 4.3 JB in order to use the dialler?
Correct.

Galaxy Note 2 stuck on Download green man

Hi there,
My beloved Note 2 all of a sudden got into loop mode and after that it started to just show the green man with Downloading showing under it but I hope it is not bricked as it is still in very good overall conditions.
I've never rooted it or put it in developers mode so I guess that's why I cannot get the recovery mode.
I tried using Kies for recovery but it fails.
I've downloaded Odin but can only find images from carriers and mine was factory unlocked from UK.
I've found the temporary file that Kies downloads and puts in zip format but this must be encrypted or password protected as I cannot un-zip it to see if it is in the same format as images from the links provided here.
I will miss it if I cannot bring it back from the brink of the dustbin.
I guess that I can only use odin with the device in developers mode as it does not seem to respond to odin either.
Any tips on what else I should try short of making it into an expensive paperweight?
Update:
Odin mode says:
Product name: GT-N7100
Current binary: Samsung Official
System status: Official
Knox warranty void: 0
AP SWRev: A2
Best wishes,
Wovens
The n7100 was purchased in an unlocked state or from a carrier and then unlocked?
Once network unlocked, the phone should remain unlocked after flashing a stock rom.

So, what happens if you try putting it back to Download Mode and reflashing the 6.0.1 correctly this time?

Flash I9192 Write Protection Enable

hello forum friends I come with this little problem which is that when I flash this phone takes the flash well but I stuck the samsung s4 mini i9192 duos and above I get some blue letters that says recovery booting. I can enter in the recovery mode and I realized that when I put it in download mode it comes out at the end with some letters that says write protection: enable and half lei that say that because it is enabled, it does not let the system flash to the cell phone.
because the help I need is how to disable that option or some other medium where I can install the software.
PD: I do not know what version the cell phone had since it was brought to me because it was frozen and flashed with several flash and always gives me that problem taking into account that the flash that I put on are good because they are the ones I use with other phones of this same model. it's the first one that comes up with that option
thanks for your help

OEM Unlock is hidden on Galaxy S9 with snapdragon

Hi everyone,
I want to root my new Galaxy S9 (SM-G960U1) with Snapdragon. I read lots of topics about that. Some people says it's impossible since Snapdragon bootloader is locked. But there are some topics about unlocking Snapdragon.
First of all, I cannot see OEM Unlock option when I open developer options. I also tried to change date to 1 month ago, turn of auto updates and restart the phone for RMM state. However I don't know which state the phone is either prenormal or normal. But nothing is changed, I still cannot see OEM Unlock.
When I switch to download mode, there is no info about RMM state. Following lines are written;
FRP LOCK: OFF
KG STATUS: Checking
WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
RP SWREV: B7 (2,2,2,7,2) K7 S7
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
I'm doing all things while the device connected to wi-fi. But, I didn't insert my sim card. Is there a connection between sim card and RMM state? Should I wait 7 days to see OEM unlock option?
Thanks in advance for your help

U1 isn't rootable. The only snapdragon version that is rootable is the international sm-g9600. Bootloader is locked on all US variants. So the instructions you're trying to follow will never work.
