Hi all guys, i'm searching for the most stable and fast android rom for my PDA (signature )
Any advice?? Thx in advance
I Found it... Sorry for this useless thread, i read too late that this kind of threads are being ignored
Wathever, i've found it... It's based on Froyo 2.2 i picked it up from this thread -> "Go to first new post
Clemsyn's BEST FROYO BUILD with LANGUAGE SUPPORT"
It runs very smooth, and with the wifi fix (i'm using kernel 2.6.25), it's PERFECT
Hello,
I am currently using Darkeys Extreme edition v10.0 based on Android 2.3.
I want to rollback my phone to its latest official Android 2.3 firmware.
Please help.
Please give the detailed procedure how to install official Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) firmware in SGS for Indian users.
Thanks in advance.
I think you need to download the DDJV6 (2.3.3) firmware from samfirmware.com and flash it according to the instructions given on the site.
This should bring you back on official firmware and KIES should work normally.
You can use SpoofFw. Very easy to use. Just follow the steps in the application. Search for it in the market.
thanks for your help, the SpoofFw app requires ROOT and I am unable to find the authentic solution to root my SGS.
Updated version information of Samsung Galaxy S Gingerbread update in India:
PDA Version: JV6
Phone Version: JV4
CSC Version: JV6(INU)
Currently I am using the different CSC Version, everything works fine with it but I am desperately looking for CSC Version: JV6(INU) only.
DDJV6 (2.3.3) firmware from samfirmware.com doesn't helped me to get the JV6(INU)
Please help.
This has nothing to do with Development learn to post in the right sections before flashing custom rom and kernels tbh.
Please move this thread to Q&A

You say your on Darky rom, that's means you are already rooted.
Use spooffw as already told.
After help from vortexmak , I have downloaded DDJV6 (2.3.3) firmware from samfirmware.com. After installation DDJV6 (2.3.3) from ODIN my phone comes to normal and now I am running official firmware on my phone. And phone is un-rooted now!
For SGS Gingerbread rooting, I searched for the same but no luck!
However, the main problem is, the firmware I am currently using is different CSC version and I am looking for CSC Version: JV6 (INU) which is not available on samfirmware.com.
samfirmware has the JV6 csc version available. Did you download the same ??
Yes Kailashnj, I have downloaded the same version but I am not sure does Kies will detect it as Indian Version of SGS.
use some brain and post in the correct section , that s the best method !

If you cant help him out don't respond to it. If you use your brain at least point him to the right section.
@op
I have no idea. I am sorry i cant help you
The csc you have right now, is it multi csc?if it is, you can try a simple trick: type *#272*yourimei# and select INU(if it's there). I do this every time with ORO.i select it from multi csc.don't know the asian firmwares very much, but i gave you the general solution. It should work.
Sent from my GT-I9000 powered by Damian kernel on JVP rom
You Rock kimitza.
The trick Works!

Yeah...kill the man for not reading the forum. True...i hate lazy people who don't read some FAQ's and don't bother to write on right sections....but your reaction is just lame for trying to be a smartass.Maybe an answer would be apreciated more than starting a flame war, don't you think?
@Napster_doom, glad i could help you, but next time please read and post in the right section. If you have more questions about galaxy, just send me a PM and i will answer.Good luck.
Hi there, my name is Bruno and i´m from Portugal, i was wondering if someone could help me with the procedure of installing the official ROM of ICS 4.0 on my Arc S, Portugal has not yet received the update, the Portuguese community is installing the "Generic Trade Nordic (2.3.4) via Wotanserver and then follow the normal update (via cellphone) to ICS. The problem is that Wotanserver is charging for the procedure, does anybody know any other way to update with other clients....
Thanks in advance
Bruno
Why did you post this on the Development section? This should go into Q&A... BTW have you also used the "SEARCH" function? There is a thread below yours with the procedure to do so...
HERE...
anyways this has been thread reported.
Jimbo
Questions go in the Q&A section
Sorry my mistake, you can delete it, i should post it on Q&A!!! Thank you for the links for the procedure.
Hello!
Since I couldn't find a proper thread for my question, I'd like to put it here. If there is any thread existing, please provide me with the link.
Question is quite simple, which would be the best 2.3.4 STOCK (unmodified) firmware for the Xperia Arc S - is that a version .62, .42, .58 or something like that.
First, I'm interested in battery time, which one is the best. And second, in usability, did any of the version had any extra widgets, useful programs that other don't?
Thanks for your time and the answers!
I would also like to ask mods, if this one can be moved to proper section, Q/A, I mistakenly put it here!
HI all,
I have Telstra phone previously on the first Kit Kat Nordic Rom.. no issues with that.. But I got my phone back from SDS repair and it was flashed back to Telstra stock 4.3
So I would just proceed to load Nordic 4.4 back onto it but I see there are a bunch of new 4.4 stock roms out from heaps of different countries so I was wondering are any of these other ones any better than the Nordic one so I should flash one of those instead?
Thanks
Asking what is best rom etc on XDA is not allowed.
Mod Edit
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.
